      Sales people showed up at my door after dark, told me that it would take a few minutes to show me something and stayed at my house for an hour. I started to feel uncomfortable because I was at home by myself but the main salesperson kept saying let me show you one last thing... That went on for 20 minutes. He also used deceptive tactics to get into my home by saying that I can receive a system just by providing advertisement for the company and my yard and on social media. He then worked up a quote that appeared to be a fee installation and monthly service and then asked if he could check for any additional discounts. I was unaware that he was running a credit check, which he never mentioned he was going to do. I did realize it when he asked who between myself and my partner had better credit and that's when I explained to him that I was not trying to have anything run on my credit because I'm working on paying off my student loans. I asked that he returned tomorrow when my partner was at home so that he could talk to both of us. He first asked when he would be home and if he could come back by this time it was 9:37 p.m.. When I said that wasn't a good idea, he then quickly started to gather all the paperwork and materials he laid out. I asked him if I could keep a copy of the worksheet to share with my partner, but he said no and that the deal may not be available tomorrow. I quickly took a picture of the worksheet, but he did not look pleased that I had done that. By this time it was about 10:50 p.m. and he asked if I knew anyone else who would be interested and should they go to the next street to see if they can get perspective customers. Their sales tactics were pushy, they ran my credit without my permission, and they were out way too late visiting and overstaying in homes where there are potentially women in the home by themselves. That was definitely the case when they decided to stop at my home. Not a reassuring look for salespeople.

      The fact that it took several different representatives to get the CORRECT information is absurd and unacceptable. None of these Vivint representatives knew what was in the actual contract. Vivint is running a business that lies to and misinforms its consumers. Vivint blatantly tries to disregard their own written contract to collect fees illegally. I have yet to receive CONFIRMATION that my account is indeed COMPLETELY CANCELLED. Representatives over the phone seem unable to give me a clear, concise answer.

      This company is dishonest, customer service is poor, supervisor is not available and eill mot return phone calls. **************** doesn't follow thru. My account was written off due non payment. I made the passed due payment. I received a call statimg I owed $65 I told them I would pay the balance but I wanted my service disconnected. T disconnection was not finalized and they continued to charge me for service on a charged off account. I asked a cust service to speak with a supervisor they told me the supervisor was not availabe. I requested a call back he said he couldn't do that but would make a note on the account, now they are claiming they cannot cancel the account unless the balance is paid in full. Make this make sense. Why am I being charged for an account that has already been charged off but paid in full just for the account to reopen because the charged off amount was paid

      ***** **** a Vivint sales associate, offered a free home security system. He said that, I would just have to pay $102, and a monthly fee, the installation fee of $200 would be waived, and the 1st months bill would be waived, if I put a Vivint sign in the yard, which I agreed on. He had me sign a few documents saying it was for id verification, and needed the 4 of my social and scanned my id. I reviewed the documents after tthe installer left. Little did I know I just signed up for a $6000.00 loan/financing. I received an email about confirming a payment to another institution. The bill was $2500.00. I called the institution and was informed the the security system was not $2500.00, it was $4200.00. No fees were waived, nothing was free. I had entered in a 60 month contract for a security system, that has not cought up to todays time. The installer's work was a 3/10. No attention to detail, cords were hanging from the walls. He didn't have the right equipment to complete the job and had to leave and come back. I was told it would take 1.5 hours, it literally took 8 hours. What I thought was a good deal has given me the worst anxious ever.

      In February 2 a seller came to my house did not explain all the charges for the product I paid that day 167 dollars and at the time of the installation I decided to cancel the service, they stated I was going to be refunded in 2 days an I still waiting, I called 2 times and they never refunded the money.

      If I could leave negative five stars I would! First of all I was told that it was only monthly. No long term contract! LIE! You are locked in to 5yr contract! And even if you cancel? You still have to pay extortion to fortiva! And if you don't? They make it their job to destroy your credit every month till you do? And each hit us ***** points a month that you don't pay their flat out extortion! (LIE!) I was going to review a 2k credit card for leaving ADT! LIE! Not only that? But I find out that when they "installed"their system? They completely short out my outlets and power to my front hall! And the one time that I needed it to work cause somebody was breaking into my car in my driveway. Which is literally 3ft from my door. The cameras failed! ***? And insult to injury!? The light outside never goes ****** it's jacked up my power bill as well. And that is just the tip of the iceberg. Avoid them like the plague! And join the class action suit against as I'm doing!

      I'm going to leave 3 stars. The service and equipment were both satisfactory but getting the account canceled has been a nightmare. I paid on time and paid off the equipment and then I moved. I do not need the service any longer. I went thru the cancelation process twice on hold for supervisors twice. Vivint still wants to draft from my account.

      I recently purchased a Vivint system, and I couldnt be happier with the experience, thanks in large part to my sales **** ***** ********. From start to finish, ***** was phenomenal! He was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient, taking the time to explain all of the features and options in a way that made sense. I never felt pressured, just supported. He truly listened to what I needed and helped customize a system that works perfectly for my home and family. Its rare to find someone who genuinely cares about the customer experience like ***** does. Highly recommend both Vivint and working with ***** if youre considering home security! Id call him before anyone else!! His Rep * is ******, call Vivint and get connected with *****! No matter where you!

      Vivint wasnt upfront with cost and procedures for obtaining system. The processed a loan for $6000 for equipment, that I wasnt aware of loan or cost of equipment. My wife wasnt aware of cost, only monthly cost. They processed the loan in my name which negatively impacted my credit score by 38 points.
