Back in August of this year, I was very ill and was home recovering from a serious heart condition when a rep from Fox Pest Control knocked on my door in an effort to sell me an annual service contract. I didnt need their service but in my weakened state I succumbed to the high pressure face to face sales pitch and signed an agreement that would cost roughly $205 a quarter. I paid for the first treatment and forgot about it until I got a call this month to inform me the next treatment wafs due. Feeling much better and barely remembering this arrangement I thanked the rep and informed him I would not be needing the service only to be told that Id have to pay a $250 early termination fee. I explained the situation about my illness at the time of the sale and was advised by the rep to call back the next day to speak to a supervisor who would have the authority to waive the fee. No such luck. I was told that the fee would be charged to my credit card and there would be no leniency. Shame on me for signing this unconscionable agreement. But please note that extracting $250 from a sick old man trumped any concept of customer goodwill or human decency on the part of Fox Pest Control. I implore you - if a rep from Fox trespasses onto your property to sell you a service agreement, turn off the lights and hide in your home until theyve gone. They dont deserve your patronage. Use Majestic Pest Control or any random firm you may stumble across in lieu of these miscreants. Buyer beware.Fox Pest Control HQ

Fox has great customer service representatives, technicians, and good products/service. However, read your contract carefully before signing. I was told I could pay a monthly charge for a service and all I had to do was sign the quote to get someone out to take care of an issue the same day, but they failed to mention I would be paying that monthly charge every month for 2 years (for a service that took 3 installments to complete) and if I tried to cancel, Id be charged a $250 cancelation fee. I fought as hard as I could but the business didnt care if they were dishonest or misrepresented the charges, the contract was signed. Its unfortunate because I really enjoyed their services and had previously recommended them highly, but theyd ultimately rather lose a customer entirely than fix an issue.Fox Pest Control HQ

They are using the law to have a consumer get a service and then lock them into a contract. The contract was never explained and now they are charging me 250 to end it. Their excuse was others have lied to them. I truly did not get the spill abt this contract and under the circumstances when fleas were all over my house and me and my cat was outside to follow their guidelines What is this contract for since I did not need them for any other service. This is another way companies use laws and fine print to lock people into contracts they are not aware of.Fox Pest Control HQ

The service and communication provided was very frusterating with this company. We had to call several times to get the right technician to come out. I told them we had rats in the attic and confirmed that they would patch up the holes on their first visit as advertised. We then had a series of five appointments. One was a cancellation, one was a no show, two were the wrong technician, and the last one was the correct technician. Keep in mind I had to be the one to call back to try to reschedule the appointments without Fox reaching out to me. The first two technicians came out but either didn't have the correct equipment or explained that they can only go up to shoulder level in the attic. The first technician said he left a bait box near the opening of the attic (not near the activity). The second technician left a box outside. The third technician finally explained that they only do low-line work and they do not have ladders that go to second story. So, from the beginning they were never able to even service the roof rat issue. She refunded part of the cost and charged me $50 for the bait boxes. We investigated the boxes and the one in the attic was not a bait box, it was a trap with no bait. I called back to question and the maanger said the box was meant for the rodent to take the bait and take it back to the colony. This was false information as it is not a bait box but a trap with no bait. They said the accoutn was closed at that time and she would not refund any additional funds. Finally, the technician was supposed to come out and pick up the boxes *********************, no one showed up and no one contacted me. I had to intiate another phone call to the company to schedule another appointment for the boxes to be removed.Fox Pest Control HQ

Unfortunate but this company does nothing. I would give it no stars if possible. They charge a quarterly fee, and did not come to my house. I called, because I had sugar ants, they came and sprayed. Where they sprayed, there were evern more ants for over 10 days. They came back again after I called, and sprayed again and this time spraying some of my furniture, ruining the furniture. Fox Pest control in *****, **.We have had Fox for a while and have been happy with services, up until now. Services had been scheduled in Sept 2023 the technician never showed up. Which is fine, until I received a bill for $200. I read the technicians comments about what was completed, and he stated that he "spoke with homeowner in the driveway". I was home all day and did not speak with anyone. I have been receiving bills monthly. the most recent email was a 'receipt for payment' on a card that had been expired and never renewed because I am not paying for a service that did not happen. I have made several calls/emails to the company and no one answers or responds. I did speak with a customer service rep to cancel services, but she could not rectify billing. After using their service for less than one month and sending them written notification I would not be continuing their services they responded with you have a contract and owe us an early term fee. I told them this is not the case and they proceeded to put the charge on my credit card anyway without any authorization or consent from me. This is a completely fraudulent company. It took 3 of their service techs 3 visits to attempt to fix an issue in my attic. One of the techs was afraid of a mouse in the attic and they had to send a supervision after I complained. I would never use this company. I recommend staying away from Fox Pest Control. Incidentally, most major pest control companies are owned by one very large corporation and Fox is under that same umbrella, so buyer beware because if you think by using another company you are sticking it to whomever that is probably not the case. *** was bought out then than 1 year ago. Buyer Beware! Fox pest control door to door salesmen will tell you want you want to hear you can cancel at anytime, no fees this is not a contract but will not inform you that you are in fact in a two year contract and there will be a $250 cancellation fee for early termination. They even try to guilt trip you saying you will really be helping me out, I'm on a pip (performance improvement plan) because my sales havent been so high. Im cousins with the owner and ** trying not to let him down. Judging by the reviews, this is a common thing. When you call to rectify it, they tell you there is nothing they can do. Their spraying doesnt even work no matter how many times they come, the ants and wasps are still there. They even told me they would throw in the spray for ticks but yet it doesnt say it on the contract that they diligently sent me when I called to cancel nor did they spray for them since my husband was bit by a tick this summer while doing yard work. How about the company does right by its customers who are having trouble making ends meet. Us customers are canceling for a reason and then you slap us over the wrist with a $250 early termination fee. Thats just bad customer service. A company that does right by its community and truly believes in their product does not charge such fees because they know their customers will either return or stay. This company does none of this even after their salesman lies and misleads their customers. But dont worry, after they take out that $74.95 monthly fee and after you tell them you cant even pay your mortgage, they will let you set up a payment plan to pay off that $250 cancellation fee. So all is good in the world except for the fact that I cant get a refund and have to pay an additional $250 for services that dont even work.
