Save yourself the headache and take your money somewhere else. I deposited $55k into two cd's on April 2. After reconsidering I contacted them on the 3rd and said I wanted to close my account. No problem. It would take 7 days to transfer back to me. Meanwhile, instead of closing my acct the *** funds another cd with $55k and $50k from my checking which overdrafted my acct $105K! Spent an hour and a half with my bank and them trying to rectify it. During which time they restricted access to my account and I couldn't get into it. I see both transfers of my initial deposit are scheduled for April 11. Great. My $5k manages to come back, but the other one gets cancelled. ***. Meanwhile, I'm locked out of my account AGAIN. Every phone call has gotten a different answer about where this money is. I was told on April 15 by ***** (a supervisor) they would contact me on the 17th to follow up and confirm the transfer and he would expedite the process asap. And, the money should be back in my acct by the 18th. Neither one happened. My call today on the 18th with **** was told they were still looking into it and it could now take 45 days before I see my money back. I am beyond fed up with this company. Everyone is making promises they are NOT keeping. Meanwhile, they are sitting with my $50k and I have no idea when I'm going to get it back. And, I can't get into my account at all to see what's going on. This has been the most frustrating experience with a bank ever.Review fromKymberly C

Going to try and keep this brief but there is A LOT of details to get the whole pic. Feb 1, 2025 my cell # was illegally ported out and personal info compromised. I have a police ***ort to verify. I called and placed a hold on all my accounts. Couple days later I called MGS to get access again and was denied. After multiple phones calls, 3 affidavits sent in I am still locked out of my accounts and found out that on March 12, 2025 MGS closed my accounts (HYSA, CDs were closed early) and they moved my money, $285,000 to their unclaimed account. I was also told that I was not earning any interest on this money since the accounts were closed. I have jumped through every hoop that they have asked and they are still refusing to give me access to my money. They make up rules as they go and every *** I speak with gives me different reasons. Meanwhile I am losing a lot of money that I should be earning in interest and I don't understand why they closed my HYSA and CD's early and moved all my money to an unclaimed fund. Their customer service is horrible and absolutely no help. I am at a loss as to what to do to get my money. Any suggestions?Review fromDenise J

Id leave a zero if I could. I have always paid my card on time, same with all my credit cards. A credit agency put false information on my credit score and GM Marcus decreased my limit. Since I disputed and won, they since have removed it, but the damage is done. When I contacted a representative, I was told they will not fix it and Id have to wait 12 months to reapply for an increase! I asked why, when it was based on false information and Ive never missed a payment. The representative just said there was nothing he could do. I told him this was completely unfair. Im more upset that by decreasing my limit, it makes it seem that I am overspending on my credit card, thereby decreasing my credit score. Totally unfair business practice!Review fromJay C

This card used to be great before Goldman Sachs took over **'s card services. The automated number works for Goldman Sachs to ignore interacting with customers who need to speak to a live person. A BBB nightmare and we miss the ** card that built its wonderful reputation. Go elsewhere if you want good, reliable service.Review fromCharles A

After entering all my personal information on line I was told to call because my attempt to purchase a CD did not go through. I was given an ** # and asked to call directly. I was asked to give personal information over the phone and was not comfortable with that since they could not find my information with the ** #. 50 minutes later they finally allowed me to talk to a manager after denying me three times. Jasmine was the managers name and she transferred me to an IT person who hung up and transferred me to an online survey. If this is how you are treated when you are attempting to give them money I would suggest to do no business with them. They also have all my personal information from on line application. If I could give a zero I wouldReview fromKrystle H

Its been 6 hours on the phone with 6 different agents telling me 6 different stories. Since they do not do 3rd party wire transfer to title companies, I was wire transferring my money to another account that does. Ive wire transferred money multiple times with no issue granted they were in the sum of maybe 1000, 2000. I was told the transfer would be done end of the day with no issues - but instead they put a hold on my account. Accused me of fraud, they tried to close my account and have me open a new one. I hung up on that agent and called again - got a new agent who told me I didnt need to close my account. She verified the account was mine, removed the hold and now its supposedly processing to be transferred. Now that ive spent 6 hours trying to get this resolved - I missed the end of day deadline and they are saying they cant confirm that I will have my money wire transferred by next business day. Im getting the latest 3 days. I truly think they are trying to make it difficult for people to take out large sums of their own money so I will never use them again. Unacceptable.Review fromSharon N

If you want to have your account closed without any notification, and no explanation when you ask for one, then Marcus is for you. Im unable to access my savings account, which I need to pay for my down payment, and they wont tell me why they shut my account down. Now I have to wait for a check to come in, and theres no estimate on the time when the check will arrive. *****************. They have no problem taking your money, but will shut you down the moment you try to use it. I will never go back to them again.Review fromMark B

Goldman Sachs (Apple Card) Review Poor Customer *************************** I reached out to Goldman Sachs, the bank backing the ***** Card, to request a review of my credit limit decrease, expecting a fair and reasonable discussion. Instead, I was met with dismissive and unhelpful customer service from both a representative and a supervisor.I spoke with ******, a customer service specialist, who repeatedly told me to dispute my credit limit decrease with the credit agency, even though that wasnt what I was requesting. I pointed out that my ********** credit report showed an increase in my credit score, but rather than actually reviewing my request, he ignored my concerns and continued suggesting something irrelevant. When I asked for a supervisor, I was transferred to ******, expecting a more thoughtful review. Instead, she gave the exact same unhelpful response without actually addressing my questions. Then, while I was in the middle of responding, she abruptly ended the chat, cutting off the conversation *********** make matters worse, instead of trying to resolve the issue, I was baited into trying to close my account, as if that was the only solution they were willing to offer. At no point did they make any real effort to keep me as a customer or provide any actual assistance. This was an extremely frustrating and impersonal experience. Goldman Sachs, as the financial institution behind the Apple Card, failed to provide customer support that is fair, reasonable, or even willing to listen. If youre looking for a credit card issuer that values its customers, I would not recommend them.Review fromChelsea C

Marcus held my money hostage and would not let me wire my money to escrow to pay the down payment on my house. Im now at risk of losing my deposit and my home. I had wired my deposit from the same account with ******************** with no issue. Today when I went to wire the rest of the money, I was told that my account is ineligible because it does not meet the criteria. I asked what the criteria are, and was told that they cannot disclose the information. So not only did they refuse to send my money, but also had no explanation of why. This feels illegal and irresponsible and theyve put me in a financially very dangerous position. I plan to close all my Marcus accounts. I wont be working with Goldman Sachs again.Review fromSierra M

Spent over 4 hours trying to open a CD. Because I am an authorized user on a GM Rewards card, they kept telling me that I need my profile information to be updated with GM (I have gotten married since being an authorized user on that card). Despite calling GM multiple times and Marcus multiple times, this issue has not been resolved. I am disappointed and it seems unlikely that I will ever be able to open an account with ******************** since they can't figure out how to fix my profile.
