This is by far the worst company ive ever dealt with they called me said I have an open savings account it sounded scammy so I looked up the 1800 number and called them directly i asked if I have an account open they wouldn't tell me without verification I said how can I verify if one is open I didn't open it so I proceeded to say if there is one open it is fraudulent again they were unable to mark it as fraud without verification I get to a supervisor she was the most ignorant person's ive ever dealt with again unable to tell me yes or no so I could file a police report and alert my job she proceeded to tell me that they would notify my by mail in 10 days again I tell here I didn't open the account so clearly I would never receive anything and then it was a heated debate back and fort and she proceeded to hang up the phone im here to tell my story and file a major complaint against them

If i could leave a 0 instead of 1 i would. Marcus by Goldman Sachs is one of the worst companies i have ever dealt with! i received two letters from managers asking me to call them regarding my account and i tried several times to reach out to them with no response. they closed my account without any reasoning. no answers - i would never ever recommend anyone to use this company. i think they may do this to not pay out interest. go elsewhere and let Marcus go out of business!

I had sent money to Marcus for over 10 years and had many CDs over the years. At the end of Dec. 2024 I got a call saying they were going to close all my accounts. At that time I had five CDs and a savings account for a grand total of almost half a million. The reason they gave for shutting down my account was that the money had come from a bank which was in my trust account. They never told me they didn't accept money from trust accounts even though I asked them if I could put this account into my trust, that all my investments were in my trust. The answer was no but they did receive my money for 10+ years. So they shut down my five CDs and subtracted $8,877 for the early-withdrawal penalties. Long story short, one by one the penalties were given back to me and transferred to my bank, the last two exactly three months after first shutting down the account. Interest was added to the first three, and after the last two were transferred, interest for one of them showed up in what was left of my Marcus account. Also, there was a big problem with my biggest CD because some of that money allegedly came from another bank. That money was finally transferred in Feb. along with the penalty and interest. Between them calling me and me calling them, I spent at least 15 hours on the phone, much of that time on hold. Absolutely nothing they did made sense. Dragging it out for three months was incredibly frustrating and stressful, not to mention insane. And they brag about being the #1 online bank!!

Marcus by Goldman Sachs illegally charged my credit card for a subscription I never authorized or signed up for, and are refusing to refund my money after I just paid my credit card off in full, this is an absolute s*** company, and I will no longer be doing business with them if they don't resolve the theft issue, of the money they stole from me! Stay away from Marcus by Goldman Sachs unless you want to deal with the poorest customer service I've ever seen, and they don't care about their customers!

I Just spent 2 days trying to open a 14 month CD thru the current promotion. Started the application on-line , it failed to complete, told me to call... I spoke to 6 CS *** over 2 days, all told me they could fix the problem.. none did... I quit trying ... If you want to try and take advantage of the 4.40 APY CD promo, good luck I will be looking for a bank that will take my money and not make me jump through hoops.

As a long-time cardholder with Goldman Sachs, I've always valued my relationship with them, but my recent experience has left me feeling utterly disappointed. It all started when I attempted to cancel a simple subscription that I no longer neededa straightforward task, or so I thought. Instead, I found myself embroiled in one of the most frustrating credit card experiences of my life, with no support for my disputes whatsoever. Take my advice: if youre looking for customer protection, this card might not be the best choice.I've been trying to cancel a subscription since January 2025, yet despite reaching out to the merchant multiple times, they've left me hanging and still charging me $69 each month. I was promised that my request would be handled, but here we are in April, and nothing has changed. Each month, I've found myself disputing these charges without any resolution in sight.Feeling completely worn out by this ordeal, I turned to Goldman Sachs for help in what should have been a simple cancellation. When I spoke with *****, the supervisor, I was hopeful she'd provide a solution. Instead, she suggested I contact the merchant againwho has been anything but helpful. As a loyal customer, it's disheartening to feel brushed aside.Liana GS Supervisor very rude no emphathy, ultimately told me they couldn't intervene in my situation because they supposedly lack the authority to block merchants. Their brilliant alternative? To close and block my account entirely! This means I would no longer have access to my Goldman Sachs credit card. Its incredibly frustrating and frankly feels like a slap in the face for someone who has been a dedicated customer for years. I really believe its time for Goldman Sachs to step up and provide the support their customers deserve!

I tried to get a CD with them by signing up online. I did everything required and I opted for the verification via small bank deposit. I've been waiting 13 business days and my bank hasn't received anything ******, I went online and read their reviews. The firms like ** ****** give them 5 stars and so on. Then I went to ****** reviews and then this site BBB and it's a totally different story. Apparently their service is terrible. I'm contacting my bank and instructing them not to honor the verification. Also, I call the service center and the service agents are foreigners, of whom I refuse to give any sensitive info to.

Horrible bank to honor a dispute from an inaccurate transaction. This credit card company rips you off and will not stand up for you on disputes. I had all the proof of why I should not have been charged a service and Marcus by Goldman Sachs proved to me how greedy they are by not crediting my account. They have lost my business and I hope they go bankrupt! I'm closing my account after my payment clears.
