      We are moving out and I tried booking a couch pickup with the bulk department. My initial request dates back from July 12 and today July 19 they emailed back that the will pickup on July 26. This is 5 days after we're moving out. There was plenty of time for a pickup on July 19 if they didn't took so long in getting back to me on multiple occasions. Now I have to contact someone last minute to do a pickup and ending up paying more.

      I'm not even a customer. They went door to door soliciting. One neighbor signed. Every week they collect trash come around my corner and dump in front of my house. Instead of dumping in front of their client. I have called many many times. I am not picking up their trash blown from their truck onto my property and the field across which is owned by the municipality. They were sued and were found guilty of many offenses and had to pay restitution. Drop them they are fraudulent. Call themselves Charity organizations. Are you even with the BBB?

      Whitetail Disposal does recommend all customers bag their trash to ensure when the can is emptied, there is no loose trash that comes free. Unfortunately, if a customer does put loose trash into a container, particularly on breezy days, something may fall out of the can that the driver does not see. We do ask anyone experiencing an issue to please reach out to our customer service team with more information so we may investigate further.

      One of the things I like most about Whitetail is that they send a recovery truck if they miss a pick-up. That is a bonus over our other local trash collector, who would often skip and then make residents wait an entire week for the next pick-up. However, I am disappointed that Whitetail charges for weeks that they do not collect. When we called Whitetail to initiate service, they had a several week backlog and could not provide service until mid-way through the following month. The containers they use were backordered, and since the truck uses an arm to collect the containers, I was told I could only use their certified containers. I was surprised when the next billing cycle rolled around and it was dated the 1st of the month, even though service didn't start then. I called and spoke to Customer Service, and they said that they do not prorate months. So if you start at any point in a month, they charge you beginning the first of the month. So if you start May 20th, you will be paying effective May 1st. I think this is unethical to charge for a time frame in which they were not able to provide.

      Deborah, thanks for your feedback. We are pleased to hear that the service portion is going well for you! For the billing purposes, that is correct. When signing up, we always advise customers to sign up for the beginning of the following month as we are not able to prorate individual weeks. If that doesn't work, we do our best to work with our new customers to provide service when needed.

      Sold my house and called to cancel the trash service half way through the prepaid quarter. Was told I don’t get a credit because I cancelled 1/2 through the quarter and that’s their policy. Would love to see what I signed regarding their policy since I signed up over the phone. I sold my house, why would I pay for the next homeowners trash service? Told them I would like to speak with a supervisor, was told one would call back. That was the 14th of June. They took my money for the rest of the quarter for a service they are not providing. Also paid for a bulk pickup on top of it told it would happen the 15th and it did not when I called back was told they could take up to 48 hours, but yet it was a scheduled pickup. These people are a bunch of crooks! Hope the new home owner went with someone else or they will be paid twice for the remaining month and a half.

      Whitetail is horrible! Told new customers upon sign up that they would send a letter to old collection company to cancel service. They did not (in fact, I found out they aren't able to do anything about that anyway!) and as I continue to receive bills from the old company, they refuse to do anything to make it right! If I knew that they would treat a customer this way, I never would have switched to them!

      What terrible customer service. I spoke with Andrea last week. She promised a call back. NOTHING. Be careful people this just maybe the worst company ever. They are not even with the BBB. I wonder why. Could it be because they know that they suck. I will be reaching out to the consumer protection. I suggest everyone do this.

      Whitetail for some reason decided to throw away my trash bin. I called to get a new one and for 4 weeks now they have promised “tomorrow”. Each time they have an excuse that they are short staffed or a holiday delayed it or they were unsure why I was told a certain day. When I call to ask for a supervisor, I get horrible customer service as if I am bothering them. I cannot leave my trash out because the animals would open it, so I have 4 weeks worth of trash piling up in my garage. Horrible experience with them.

      After 30+ years with ********, with reluctance, I switched over to Whitetail as ******** rates rose consistently beyond affordability. In thirty years, ******** offered twice a week residential pick-ups, and never missed a collection. Since migrating over to Whitetail it has been a consistent pattern of late pick-ups or no picks-up necessitating countless phone calls or emails to seek resolution. The latest episode involved a no pick-up recycling and a promise that a recovery truck was dispatched to collect: no show on three consecutive days. This is the pattern with Whitetail, but I am unfortunately in an area wherein the rival waste hauler is not accepting new customers at present as they wish to work within their means. Whitetail would learn much by adopting the same model as they do not service properly the customers they have.

      We are very sorry to hear of this issue with the service. We currently perform over 250,000 residential trash and recycle collections per week of which 99.8% are completed successfully, on time and without issue. We are continuously working to improve our services with a goal of 0 reported service challenges. In this instance, our team did report the service issue to our operations team and requested recovery. From the conversation over the weekend our team did issue a credit for the missed service. We will be on site for the scheduled pickup today (Tuesday); our operations team will be monitoring this stop to ensure it is picked up without issue. If there are any challenges with this collection, we will reach out to follow up.

      i got this company about 4 years ago quoted 75.25 for 4 qts a billing cycle then it was 18.00 dollars for recycling because people are to lazy to rinse the cans and stuff out before its dropped at a warehouse

      I would give them -50 if I could .They missed pickups I stupidly waited 3 wks to see if they ouwel do the job for which being paid They told me it is on me to tell them when pick up didnt happen, and to do so within 24 hours. I pay them and I am supposed to then make sure they honor the contract? That is not how a responsible trustworthy company works. They continued to miss pickups after I complained. They now put containers up in the front of my house despite that they have been placed next to my garage right by the alley since service started. they tell me teenagers must have done it, despite fact they were placed right next to one another and not tossed or put unevenly. Kids being vandals don't work that way (and then from all circumstantial evidence Whitetail moved the containers, I did take pictures to show them how evenly they were placed and they didnt care. Instead ignored the pics and reiterated had to be teenagers and I should notify the police. Really?Notify the police that someone nicely took my containers form the back alley and put them evenly and right next to one another in front of my house on the thin strip of grass between street and house? . I am disabled and told them it is very hard for me to have to move them from front of house all the way back to alley. Their reply was: we won't do it. it had to be teenagers so not their responsibility.(This insist pickups not in area that day but was only one trash bag all the way down in bottom, very difficult to get to unless turn container on side and climb in, If teens did it they would have left it on side. Vandals don't pick up after themselves; there was some trash not in bag that would have been on the ground and there was none, neither in front where cans are nor in alley where they moved In my opinion they are untrustworthy,do not honor their part of contract, ie I pay they pick up the trash and they do so. Awful service, and take no responsibility. That was my experience with them.

We do take these types of concerns very seriously; for any difficulties on the day of your service we do ask that customers let us know so we can immediately investigate, review and correct. Our tracking team does a great job of identifying potential issues however we also like to hear from the customer so we can ensure we are addressing these challenges right away. In regard to the can movement, our team did pull truck GPS and confirmed that we had no trucks in the area on that day. I am very sorry to hear of the difficulties you experienced, unfortunately our system did show we did not have anyone in the area at that time. If we can be of further assistance please don't hesitate to reach out.
