My mom was the main account holder, I was the second on the account, my mom passed away in 2018 and I got a letter to my CURRENT address saying they were notified that she had passed away and I could come in and remove her name "WHEN I WAS READY", never once said I HAD to remove her name. I found out about a month ago they closed the account, and was told I had to go in person to find out why they closed the account they refused to tell me over the phone. Today I went in to find out why they closed the account. I got nothing but LIE after LIE! They first claimed after 2 years of inactivity it had to be closed, then it was 5 years, they said they sent me several letters and called me several times, LIES Never once did they do either. They claim they sent the letters to the address on the account, which we have not lived there since 2014. They have my current address to send me a letter to say I can take her name off of the account, but not to let me know they are going to close the account. The account had not been used in years before my mom passed away, so she passes away in 2018 and they decide its a "rule" to close it for inactivity. They claim the address was updated in 2015 which is another LIE, we moved to that address in 2000, I don't recall ever updating the address and I know for a fact it was NOT in 2015, my mom was in a bad wreck and in a wheel chair, updating that address was the last thing on either of our minds. Then they claimed it was not them that sent the letters and made the calls, then they denied saying that I was sent several letters and called many times and REFUSED to tell me who supposedly did, he claimed he didn't know. The idiot I talked to last, decided to **** me off more by saying "That was not your account, it was your mothers". My name was on it it WAS MINE as well as hers and me being her only heir, that also made it MINE! He just wanted anger me more, that is NOT professional. They refused to give me the money left on the account.Review fromKelly R.

We bought a product online from an overseas provider which turned out to be an illegal product. We didn't know it, but the product violated federal law. When we found out, we tried to tell the vendor not to send it, but he didn't reply or return email messages. We refused delivery of the product and returned it to sender. We disputed the charge on our debit card, but Tinker refused to refund the money claiming the vendor had a no refund policy; hence, they refused the dispute claiming it was a policy of ***** the card we'd used. In point of fact, the vendor's policy is invalid since you can't contract to do something illegal. Moreover, I spoke with **** and was told they had no such policy, and it was the exclusive domain of the credit union to refund or not; in other words, it was not ****'s policy. Thus, Tinker was disingenuous and treated us with total disdain. We will close our account and never do business with Tinker FCU again.Review fromMichelle R

I used the automatic teller yesterday withdrew 160 dollars never got my money. I immediately went into the bank and filled out a form in Oder to get my money back. The lady told me I would get my 160 dollars put back into my account the next day. Called today because I didnt get it deposited into my account. Now ** told it could take weeks or mo this now because they have to investigate the machine. I really needed that money as Im on social security. This is an outrage.Tinker Federal Credit Union

Terrible customer service. I had a vehicle financed with them, and it has been a horrendous experience. They limit your one time payment options to a very small amount and I never received a title after paying off my loan. They claim it was sent in the mail, but the customer service agent refused or couldn't verify what address they used. It has now taken me 3 additional phone calls to obtain a lien release so that I can apply for a duplicate title. What a nightmare, I would have rather paid a higher interest rate with a bank that actually take care of their customers!Review fromDiana H

Today, in a ****** TFCU drive-through lane, I requested a cashiers check be made. While I waited, I listened to other customers conversations from the drive through area you can hear everything. Then *******************, the aged mean-girl bully, showed up and suddenly they wanted me to call out my entire social security number to get the cashiers check. I told them I have a second form of ID that I could give them, but no, they wanted me to call out my entire SSN. I asked when that procedure started since Ive been getting cashiers checks every month for many years. They said, loudly & meanly its the **** I asked for my money back so I could go to another bank where, as normal, I did Not have to call out my SSN to get a cashiers check. There also was an issue with the safety deposit box list which I had been on for about 10 years waiting for a large size security box. Finally, last December one of the tellers told me I was next on the list. I waited a couple of months before checking on it again, and ******************* snidely told me that Im not on the list at all, so she would add my name to the bottom of the list. I told her that she Knew I was on the list because Ive been asking about where I am in that safety deposit list regularly since the day I joined TFCU. Then *****, one of the other employees and the branch manager went into the managers office to discuss the matter and I heard them laughing. Yep, someone, probably ***** pulled a fast one on a customer (me) by deleting my name from the list. The teller came back to me and said, ok, well put your place on the list at about 8 years ago. SO Unfair, Dishonest, Disgusting and Unprofessional. If I cant trust TFCU employees, namely *******************, to honestly and accurately manage the safety deposit applicants list, what does that say about managing my, and other members funds? A final note, ******************* has been terrible to me, and Ive seen her be mean to other customers, since the day I joined TFCUTinker Federal Credit Union
