No explanation as to why they are increasing the Fee's again to deposit funds for kids meals, and they limit the amount you can make as a deposit therefore it forces you to pay more fees to make more deposits. They are extremely hard to reach by phone, they dont provide an e-mail, the have a Chat feature but you wait in que forever which results in them logging you out without being answered.Heartland Payment Systems, LLC

Feel taken advantage of and frankly scammed. I own and operate ************* detailing LLC by myself. I've used square for years, but was convinced to switch to heartland by a sales rep who told me i wouldn't have to pay fees like you do with square and would actually save money. I've lost $500+ in fees i was not made aware of by my sales rep and would have to pay $300 to break the contract. I've reached out to customer service with no follow up. I regret ever getting involved with this company, it has made this winter as a small business owner so much more difficultHeartland Payment Systems, LLC

This is not a fraudulent company. Except for a few legitimate reviews (that should have been submitted as complaints) these reviews have nothing to do with Heartland Payment Systems.HPS is not a loan company. Any loans issued through HPS are done so through a partner company called Lendio and are only issued to legitimate business owners for their legitimate businesses. PLEASE BBB read this review and remove any "reviews" that have nothing to do with this company. HORRIBLE COMPANY!! The fees are absolutely ridiculous! I went on the site to make a payment and on top of the normal fee for processing they were trying to add something called "FALL FEE"". So I contacted the company and was informed that they implemented this fee to offset the cost of operations and that is was/is a one-time fee. However, it is only charged during the NOV-DEC months, hence the fall fee label. So, I asked directly, if I had made a payment in October via your site OR if I wait until January, will I pay this fee. After a very long run around, the simple answer was no. How do you just add random one-time charges? How are our schools allowing this to happen? Needless to say, I will NOT be using this site and will send cash/check directly to my school cafeteria the old-fashioned way. For any school thinking of using this site, proceed with caution. I'll also be making a complaint to the food service and school board at my district.

Total scammers, and frankly seems illegal. Would not take my loan out of deferment at my own request. Instead, they make you mail a physical letter. Tell me how that makes any sense? Call staff is not helpful, they simply read scripts in response to basically any question, and if they go off script they are rude. The fact that as an undergraduate student at the time I didn't even have a choice for this servicer is a shame. They will not generate a statement, or any documentation, either unless you are in repayment and the system automatically generates one around your due date. It has taken me close to a month just to consolidate my student loans only because of this single servicer as they are making it as complicated as possible to get the information I need. This is likely on purpose so they can earn the interest rather than do the right thing. This company has an ethics problem and should be investigated criminally. Now, instead of getting the payoff said and done, I will have to wait roughly another 20 days. With student loan interest resuming on 9/1, that will be 20 days of interest I have to wrap into my consolidation.Review fromDamaris F

THIS IS AN AWFULLLLLLL loan servicer or whatever you wanna call this sham of a company. I had my past due school balance sent to these people, and I 100% wished I could've settled this with my school beforehand. I had made a payment plan, but they always took forever to take my money out of my account. I was charged 3 late fees on the same day I made a payment. So, like any normal person, I called **** to resolve the issue. IT TAKES AN ACT OF GOD TO GET A HOLD OF ANYONE!!! The automated message asks for all this information from you yet it could never locate my account, and it would never give me the option to talk to someone. Even attempting to chat with an online agent, I would type in my information once again and not once could they find my account. I called THREE different phone numbers until I finally found someone who could transfer me to the department I was trying to reach ONLY to be transferred BACK to the automated message. After screaming at the phone "talk to someone" for 10 minutes, I was able to be connected to someone only to be met with the BIGGEST attitude ever!!! I explained to the lady several issues with my account: 1) my account said I had $1800 in charges, my payments had been $1400, so the remaining balance should be $400 yet I had an extra $100 on my loan balance; 2) my loan balance had an extra $50 charge regardless. Not once was I made aware of any interest, neither did I observe my account balance changing month to month. The lady sighed loudly into the phone and placed me on hold without asking me -- this happened MULTIPLE times throughout the call. I would ask a question, and she would abruptly put me on hold without saying anything. At the end of this pointless phone call, all she says is she can submit a ticket and wait for these charges to be investigated. I asked her how long this would take, and all she said was "I don't know". THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!! THIS COMPANY IS UNPROFESSIONAL AND WILL NOT HELP YOU WHATSOEVER!!!Review fromBrett T

Only know who these guys are after fraudulent attempts to charge my credit card were reported to me by my credit company. Email from them said my "******" account needed updated credit info and 3 attempts to charge my card were recorded. Reply address was to myschoolbucks. Absolutely TERRIBLE company. I was being charged all through covid for my loans, when finally settling the issue to a fixed monthly agreeable payment, they dinged my credit score way down. TWO months after settling they started charging me interest every month that was on hold and started tacking it onto my monthly payments that were at a SET AMOUNT and told me its my fault. This loan company is a disgrace. Nobody is on the same page, apparently there are NO notes they put in the system, I sit on hold forever. DO NOT USE THEM!!Review fromSalve D

I have to start off by saying this is a horrible company to handle student loan debt. I had a student loan debt that was past due since 4 years ago. I currently decided to make arrangements to pay the debt off for ***********************. Unfortunately, this is the company that handles the student loan debt for ***********************. I made payment arrangement to pay a certain amount every month until the debt is completely paid off. I started to pay the debt for 3 months now and I've noticed that this company was still reporting on my credit report that my debt is currently late. I thought that was oddly strange that I'm paying on time and more than the amount that I agreed on with the representative and my account was still reported as past due and no payment. I called Heartland.****.net contact number and was inquiring on why is the student loan company is still reporting every month that my account is past due and no payment is being made on the account. The representative I spoke with told me that even though I'm making payments on the account that after 9 months of on-time payments they will stop reporting every month to my credit report. They told me my payment arrangement was considered in a rehabilitation status. I explain to them I was not told this information that your company will continue to report in the future for 9 months that I'm late and no payments are being made. After 9 months, my account will be reported as good standing. I told them I did not agreed to that when I made my payment arrangement and that wasn't told to me by the representative who I set the arrangement with. They said I signed a document stating I agree on that and I told them I did not sign any documents stating that. I asked the company to provide those documents they claimed I signed and they couldn't because none exist. They did not help me any further. Even though you are paying them they will still report it on your credit that your not paying. BEWARE OF THE DEAL YOU MAKE WITH THEM!
