    Service Plus is a scam, do not sign a contract. They need to be investigated for fraud. I am locked in for a set period of time and I am charged about $50 monthly, but I have not been able to get help when I need service. In November 2023, my furnace went out so I made a claim. Before I got the email a week later stating they couldn't find a tech for me (and I live in a major metro area) and offered $200 to cover costs, I had already had a local company install an entire new HVAC system. I didn't bother trying to get the $200. Last week, I filed a claim on my washing machine. Got an email today telling me they couldn't find a tech, offered $200 reimbursement. I had a tech scheduled 5 minutes after I googled washing machine repair, he'll be here tomorrow. $85 to get him out here. I'm sure that $200 won't cover half the cost. I can't log into their website and when I call the 800 number listed on their website, the recording says the number is no longer valid. Please investigate.

    Save your money. They will find a way to just send you to resolution. Forget any hopes of coming out happy. They are pros at selling you the policy and finding a loophole. Shock, they will prorate you on the age which was never mentioned. Read #7 in policy. Not happy. My part was discontinued. End of subject. Call restitution. They couldn't fix it.They didn't replace it and want to give me $200 and just be happy. I have a microwave OTR with broken touchpad and control panel. Can't touch a new one for that. Plus installing it.I should have checked BBB. My bad.

    I have placed 3 claims for the same issue (the pilot light on the water heater keeps going out). I haven't received any text or email acknowledgment of the claim, and no technician has been assigned. I've tried calling their 800 (AI telephony) number and have waited for hours while being told I was next in line, and it's a "one minute wait time".I tried calling the salesman (*****************************) who sold me the package last year, and his numbers are dead.I'm getting the sense that this may be a fraud site, or run by completely incompetent people.I bought the Platinum package and know I have made a big mistake. next step is likely to be legal.

    Well I agree awful experience!!! Made a roof claim,first time I called they set me up with a contractor who was to far away and I couldn't get a call back to confirm a Saturday appointment, well waited a no show, no one figured it out till I called and wanted a different company!! Then next very nice guy came out looked at roof said he would be in touch with service plus then they would b in touch with me...2 wees later no call nocontact, finally received a email stating the denial to fix, suprise! Well called to cancel and that's all I wanted, even though it cost me 125.00service call for contractor! Just wanted to cancel. Was told not able to do that. Be warned this is a scam once they hook you in you can't get out!! And they always have fne print, read it!! ************************* oh yeah no stars guys!!

    Have had several claims denied but the last one took the cake. Had a covered issue this time they couldn't weasel their way out of but still denied saying it wasn't to wear and tear but to the part breaking due to improper use. They quoted something not explicitly laid out in the exclusions which guess what, means its covered (worked in ******************** for 8 years). If its not excluded its covered. It is was a **** issue. Even had three contractor come out and two look at policy AFTER DENIAL and stated that there is nothing in the exclusions page for our problem and should be an easy part replacement although not a cheap one. Even had a colleague that works in the home warranty space and he couldn't find the exclusion. What did they do. They claimed this fell under section 1 of the policy of part breaking but not from wear and tear. The **** unit is past its warranty and guaranteed life span but the part broke for other reasons beside that. How would they even know they never sent someone to look at it for 4 weeks before getting green light to call a contractor in our area. Tried to claim it was from improper use (set at 75 in the summer in *******), no contractor saw improper use. Unit was taken care of. Anything to deny. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN.

    Just DEPLORABLE SERVICE my dishwasher went out in Jan or Feb 24 they sent repairman from 2 different companies. Couldn't fix said was too old. Settled for $160.00 check which I still haven't received called 10 days ago on April 19th was told it would be 8 weeks called again April 29th today told 8 weeks again???I said you told me that 10 days ago??She said that's our policy.They ask your address and all account info every call sometimes more than once.The last claim for my microwave which was only 2 years old said won't fix we will send a ck for less than a replacement costs . I live In ******* 8 years they sent my check to ******!!!To my old address!!! After asking you your address!!!! Nothing left to do but contact the New Jersey ************************

    I have delt with service plus for 2 years, year 1 my washing machine needed service , had 2 min call from a tech charged ***** and my machine self corrected which he could have told me it would do that. I explained that when I cancelled the service call which never was scheduled but I did get a call 8 days later about coming to service it.Year 2 I reported my water heater leaked and was told I could possibly get a call in **************************************************************************** see that it wasnt covered, plain old basic hot water heater was covered .. I explained that I am 88 years old and cannot be without any water for a week or so, next one said I could have it replaced myself and they would review and possibly give me ******, a new heater costs at least ****** for a basic with all of the stuff needed to install it, this is an insult to me as a customer and a disgrace in customer service . I hope to be able to get a refund for this non-existing service contract.

    Please stay away from this company. You have been warned! They don't honor what the sales people say at the time of signing up. My story. I asked about the service and the cost for a five year plan. They gave me a price. I specifically asked, if at any point I decide to not want the service, can I cancel and get the remaining balance for the time I have left. The salesman said of course. Two years later, the house I have under contract is vacant. I called to cancel to get the remaining balance. I'm told by two reps that I couldn't cancel unless it was a mutual agreement. What!? They said it's written in my contract on some obscure page. I explained to them I wasn't told that nor given a hard copy or electric copy of the contract. They emailed a copy. I had to sign it to see the details. I didn't sign it. A trick to give them evidence that they sent me and i signed a copy of their contract. I've worked with other home warranty services and never heard this at all. They said the only way to cancel and get the remaining balance was to sell the house. WHAT?! I was selling anyway but if fell through. Still, WHAT?! Please stay away from this company! I never even used the service's on top of everything. I'm a real customer #7********

    This is the worst of the worst company I have ever dealt. 1- They pay 10cents on a $2-Processing time is 6-8 weeks(ridiculous)3- **** to get the check in 6 months
