Because of a banking error my monthly payment was a few hours late getting into my bank account. ********************** wasted no time in letting me know about via email. I emailed them and told them that the money was in my account and to take it out the following day. They then informed me that I needed to call them to resolve the matter. EVERY number that I could find DID NOT work. They said to make my payment through the app. I went to the app found the make a payment button, when I pressed it an error message popped up. Meaning I still could not make a payment. If a person has this much trouble making a payment, what would settling a claim be like? Most likely I will have no choice but to close my bank account and open a new one to ensure that they can't take unauthorized payments. I will also be surprised if this actually gets posted.CarShield

Car shield *****! I got car shield for my 2010 Kia forte koup and it broke down so we took it to the shop. The mechanic filed the claim and let them know it needed a new engine. Car shield told us to turn in all of our maintenance records for the last 12 months, which is understandable so we did. After that, they said it was gonna need an additional tear down. The teardown ($500) would only be covered if they determined that the engine would be covered. So if they determined that my car wasn't covered after the teardown, I would owe that 500. I didn't like this idea but I went ahead and said yes. After, they did the teardown, car shield decided it needed an ADDITIONAL teardown!!! This is rediculous! By the time the second teardown was completed it would've made the bill well over 3000!!! Just for diagnosis. When does it end? When car shield finds a loophole somewhere to make it not covered. This is a RIP OFF!!! Also, after I said no to the second teardown and talked to my mechanic, tell me why I only owed him $150?? Horrible. I've been a loyal customer for awhile until I had to file a claim. It's been nearly a month. I'll make it short. I've kept meticulous records of all communication and have recorded all calls except the first 2. I have encountered shops that will not work on my car due previous nonpayment by careshield. Then find a shop only to now go over 3 weeks with a complete run around. I've called carshield almost daily since the start but I'll go back just 3 days. Call them. Claim not approved yet.aduster has not made notes on it since the 17th. Assigning new adjuster.. you'll hear something in 24 hours. Nothing. Call today sw ****. Still not approved. Tell him I want to cancel.he says I'll get down-payment of 728 back. I bulk & say I want it all back..he talks over me & hangs up. I Call back. She says I won't get down-payment back then says claim was approved 3 days ago. .. **** told me 10 minutes ago it was still pending. But it's partial approval. Mechanic won't do work as partial fix is dangerous. I send in cancelation email & call back & ask for supervisor. (That won't happen) s/w *****. Explain the runaround & that training is needed. They really just say anything to get you off the phone. If it's engine/timing related good luck they will delay &try to say this or that is needed when it's been submitted numerous times. Or pay & they'll reimburse you.. that is a huge gamble & most can't afford a huge garage bill & a month of rental cars. That's why we get extended warranty coverage. Carshield CS is subpar & American Shield is just as bad at adjusting. I waited in good faith but can't anymore. I'm out car rental for a month and a car that is still broken down . I deserve a full refund &if I don't get it w/i 48 business hours (their processing time) I will forward all documentation, recordings, & written statements from the repair shops to the WV Attorney generals office. They might fix small issues but big ones will be a complete hassle. Lesson learned.CarShield

I'm having a terrible experience with car shield I've been with them for three years paying every month for a coverage now that my transmission went out i went to six of their approved auto shops and was told by all of them that their not dealing with car shield because of all the issues they have had in the past with them when I finally found a shop that was willing to deal with them they was told by car shield to send pictures of the transmission out of the car he did that on the 13th and i was told that once the pictures are sent that the adjuster have 24 hours to review the pictures and approve the claim but on the 15th we called and was told that the adjuster received the pictures and don't know what's take so long so the representative said that it was expedited to a supervisor to see what's taking the adjuster so longthen on the 24th we called and was told that they needed some more pictures of the outside of the vehicle, the odometer, and the vin so we called the shop on three way and that was his 1st time hearing about these other pictures and our 1st time hearing about them too the mechanic said if they would have requested all the pictures at the same time he would have sent them all and our car would've been done two weeks ago i have lost my job because of this issue with the adjuster pictures the mechanic said he will never deal with car shield again and i won't either they still want their monthly payment but i haven't had my car for a month and a half because of their miscommunication and lack of communication with the auto shop they won't even approve me for a rental till the adjuster approve the pictures and i think that this is done on purpose because the longer it takes the less time that they have to pay for the rental carand if i had the rental car i would've never lost my job i had some of the same issues last time i needed them with my last car and i feel like they just been robbing me for the last few yearsCarShield

Ive had this warranty for a little over a year and every time I need repairs done to my car I end up having to pay for them out of my pocket. I wish I never bought this warranty. Twice Ive paid out over $2200 out of pocket. Very disappointed. Ive learned my ****** for sure.CarShield

This company is beyond fraud. I purchased a policy July 2021 on my vehicle, By a male car shield employee. I was told That I would need to purchase a gold policy policy at ***** per month that would cover my 2011 *** HYBRID vehicle. I went ahead and signed up. I have never had any claims against the policy. I had something go wrong with my vehicle in AUGUST of 2022. Called CAR SHIELD, asked for a rental car reimbursement, they told me that the diagnosis would need to be made first, before they would help me with a rental vehicle. Now as of 10/11/22, my car has been diagnosed. Car Shield was contacted by repair facility and myself, only to be told that this GOLD POLICY purchased does not cover HYBRID VEHICLES. I have made multiple phone calls to car shield. Never have gotten past customer ********************** department. Have Requested each time to have myself speak with a supervisor. Each and every time I have been told a supervisor will call you back within 24 to 48 hours hours. No supervisor ever calls back, only another customer ********************** agent. This policy was sold to me talk to me and it's fraud, As it does not apply to my making model of my car. When purchasing the plan I assumed the representative of car shield knew what he was talking about as far as what policy would be the appropriate policy for my vehicle. Obviously he knew nothing and sold the policy to a consumer who puts faith in a company that they know what they were talking about. I am requesting a 100% refund from the company for the money's paid out since July 2021 to the present at $***** per month paid back to my account where they withdrew it monthly from. Prior to deciding on the repair facility that I am having fix my car car, II checked out 4 different facilities and all said run from this company car this company car shield as they do not pay their claims. Unfortunately I found out too late, as I never had to have a repair on my vehicle until now. Please turn your back and run from car shield as they sell fraudulent policies over and over againCarShield

CarShield is a scam. All they want is your money. They delay every possible way to pay you. They delay-delay-delay. Theyre a rip-off. If you need repairs, YOU have to pay for discovery. Then they want pictures (i.e., of transmission case fluid + others). Then they dont want to pay for the correct repairs (i.e., they want to send you a USED TRANSMISSION from somewhere that will take 4-6 WEEKS to get there. Meanwhile, during the delay-delay-delay, YOU ARE OUT OF A CAR! Aaaaaand, YOU STILL PAY MONTHLY PREMIUMS!!!! They have so many Third Party Agents (TPAs) that the left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing! One agents says youll get ** dollars. Then after wait-wait-wait delay-delay-delay You dont get paid, so you have to call back to find your money! And they refer-refer-refer you so somebody else that says you're getting less money than promised!!!! These people are a rip-off, preying on the publics trust! No wonder they have an F rating w/ the Better Business Bureau! Save your money!CarShield

Car shield is a scam because they charge you $100 for full coverage on your vehicle for parts that go wrong except there's a loophole every time you go to get something done you have to jump through ***** hoops and it takes 4 days to get in okay from things that they do cover and then the things that they cover there's loopholes in that too they say they cover the brake system but they don't cover the brake shoes even though it doesn't tell you that anywhere and your information policy they don't fix your windshield wiper pump but they handle all electronical systems they don't change your spark plugs on a tune-up but yet they cover a tune-up so there's a loophole in everything they do they don't want to cover things that they say they cover and there's no definition of what they don't cover in their policy I don't think it's a good deal they've gotten way too much money out of us my family and then don't want to cover the things that they claim that they cover and I've got the policy in front of me it's not like I didn't read it I read the entire thing and nowhere in there did it say it didn't cover break shoes it says brakes systems that includes book I wouldn't recommend car shield to anyone ever just want to put it out there thank you for listeningTommy R.

At the bottom of my statement somewhere it read book it's actually brake shoes brake pads whatever you want to call them they said that they would cover the entire brake system doesn't exclude anything on the break's!!! The only exclusion on my policy that I actually read was struts and shocks and that's also part of your suspension but they don't want to cover that but that's the only thing it actually said on the policy everything else was considered covered that's why I would never recommend this policy or car shield to anyone everTommy R.

I am curious how so many people can complain about one company and it's clearly fraudulently being done because they don't put everything in their contract or specify everything in their contract how come they're still in business in the first place why because ***************** advertise for it I don't know but the business should be shut down it is fraud fraud fraud
