I've been with car shield/ auto shield for over two yrs and have paid out of pocket for 98% of repairs on my car including the transmission which is also covered by car shield, has been without a car to go to work, grocery store, laundry, etc. I believe customer **********************, customer concerns, customer fairness isn't this companies strong point but God willing I'll be driving again soon????

Recently, I had my car in for multiple issues. I tried calling Carshield to get approval for the dealership to fix the problems. After numerous attempts-14 to be exact , I was unable to make any contact with them , and I tried filing a claim on their internet site but that keep timing out. My only choices were to either leave my car at dealership and get a rental-but because I could not contact Carshield, I had no choice but to let the dealership fix the mechanical problems. When I called Carshield the following day and explained my circumstance they denied me of a refund for the payment I made to basic mechanical problems that are normally covered under standard car warrantys. Carshield is a fraud! Unify, I should have investigated Carshield before I made the purchase of coverage instead of afterwards. I would also like to say that the supervisor I spoke to was very rude and unprofessional. I dont even think it was a supervisor because the person did not handle my issue with kind regard for a customer. They did not want to listen to my input. Carshield is a Horror story. They advise with false promises.CarShield

This process was not followed, therefore the claim was not approved or authorized. For about a year I have been a Car Shield customer and this is the second time I have tried to use my coverage to no avail. Every month my $110 membership was taken out and even when my seals and gaskets were supposed to be covered as in my contract it was not honored. The repair shop sent them photos of the leak in my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee but they wanted it to be more severe so they did not cover it so i have to wait for the problem to get worse. Car Shield is a waste of time and will take your money never wanting to cover any repairs. Escalation team was no help either. They never even called the repair shop to let them know the claim was denied.CarShield

They are misleading in their advertising. Very misleading, accept premiums but refuse to pay for repairs. Do not purchase CarShield Horrible. I've been a loyal customer for awhile until I had to file a claim. Called CAR SHIELD, asked for a rental car reimbursement, they told me that the diagnosis would need to be made first, They would only cover for one day because the repairs are only 6 hours worth. . One adjuster approved repairs and another did not because the vehicle should have been towed to the repair shop. Which clearly does not state in my contract. I had NO WARNING LIGHTS of any kind and couldn't have never known my car needed a new motor just buy hearing a TICKING NOISE. This company is so dishonest and I can't understand how these employees go on with their everyday lives knowing they work for such a company that gladly takes hard working peoples money for repairs that are promised.Review fromSharron A.

Car shield is one of the biggest scams out there! Purchased car shield for our used 2007 Mazda5, Our first problem was with the two catalytic converters, guess what, carshield doesn’t cover them so we took it to the Mazda dealership paid $1700 to have the parts replaced, including the intake manifold which they found had a large hole in it (replaced). Was running alright but had an oil leak took it to our mechanic and he said it could be a cylinder that was bad and the engine would need rebuild or replace so they sent a claim to Carshield. Carshields inspector was supposed to inspect the vehicle again, (they inspected it the first time and found the hole in the intake manifold) so they said they had inspected it again but denied the claim and here is why, THEY SAID THAT WE HAD CONTINUED TO DRIVE THE CAR AFTER THEY FOUND THE BROKEN INTAKE MANIFOLD. Well that seems strange since we have the paid invoice stating the manifold was replaced and surely a trained inspector would be able to tell the difference between a manifold with a big hole in it and a new manifold. They are not a company of integrity or honesty and they use any trick they can to get out of paying for needed and approved repairs. Until we have this resolved I will continue to make payments but will never deal with them again they are just to *******!CarShield

Before purchasing car shield I was told that the modifications done to my car would have been fine. And still covered under car shield policy. Once there was a claim filed they went back on there word and would not cover my car. I am now without a vehicle and out of at least 500$. They give you a run around and bounce you between departments to keep you chasing your tail.CarShield

Wonderful. Thank you very much. The repair went faster than we thought it would. We were very skeptical at first about car shield and their service but based on the last two repairs on my wife's car they stand by what they say. Better than expected.Review fromBev B

Run the other way, I was a diamond member of car shield for over a year and for the past two month Ive been fighting to get them to pay for the repairs, first thing they rejected was the throttle body motor , gasket,? Im not an expert and they refused to pay for it, so that was $750.00 out of pocket the next thing was something like a cam fav Im not sure but it was going to cost $4500.00 to repair but of coarse car shield would only repair it if the garage would take the heads off and take picture and send them into them, garage said they had another customer went through the same thing and ******************** refused to pay and they where stuck with not only tearing it down to take pictures of the problem then they where stuck paying for the repairs repairs, the garage said it was covered under our policy but they just wont pay up, Im sorry if this doesnt make since Im not a car expert but I am going to tell you your best bet would be to open a savings account and put $100.00 a month so if anything goes wrong you can take care of it yourself, ****** learned and now I have to come up with $4500.00 for repairs this company is a scam and rip off, will be talking to somebody to make this right.
