My car was in the shop for over 5 months. They finally sent out a guy to look at the car. An adjuster or estimate guy. Any way after he looked at the car the very next week they needed pictures of the same thing he looked at. After I sent in those pics then they needed more pics. Every week more pics until I finally gave up. Every time I see these celebrities giving them rave reviews it makes me sick. Their all rich, do you think their really using car shield.........not. they need to use some of the money that their paying them to fix some hard working people cars. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. RIP OFFCarShield

Cant find mini shops that will accept them. They say that theyre hard to get payment from so they dont want to mess with them. Not even the Dodge dealership will except them. I had to take my Durango to a third-party repair shop for them to accept it but then when the repair died, it was a failed head gasket between two of the cylinders so car shield says they will not cover it because its a gasket related problem, I have CarShield on both of my vehicles but Im going to cancel it ASAP. Youre better off doing a savings plan for vehicles just put that 80 $90 a month into a separate account. Use it when you need it you will be much better off car shield is a lot of hype, but not much of a benefit. Even if it is a cover will repair it takes forever to get them to approve it and send one of their inspectors out for every little thing.CarShield

If I could I would honestly give them a negative 5 stars my car had been in the shop a whole week. The mechanic has taking my whole transmission apart but we have been sitting here since last Friday waiting for the adjuster to do his job. They tell me he has ***** hours to get back to my mechanic that he had until the end of the day Monday to do so. So tell me why was I calling all Tuesday and Wednesday when that's supposed to be completed already. For every piece of paper they receive they need 24 hours to review. It's just a lot of bs especially when your vehicle is down, and you've been paying for car shield 7 months, you have your own car and insurance payments. Now u have to rent a car, wait for them to bs around not even guaranteed they going to fix what's wrong with your car. Now they in the process of negotiating a used transmission from a salvage yard and it's takes 24 hours for the team to get back to my mechanic.its from a salvage yard why are we negotiating with salvage yards lol. I'm just glad I'm at home and wasn't on vacation when this happened bc this company will put you thru the most ***** possible. If I can save anybody and their family please don't sign up for this bc I wish my mother hadn't. It also takes 7 to 10 business days to return the money u spent on a rental but the car has to be worked on for more than 4 hours before they pay for anything and it has to show a zero balance like I can return a rental car without a 0 balance haha. Not considering that the mechanic took the whole transmission apart none of that counts until he gets the parts he needs to fix the car. I swear this is the biggest catch 22 you will ever find yourself caught ** in I promise. Run, don't walk, I repeat run from this company as fast as possible. If not, look forward to many days of phone calls leading you to a stack of lies and rude customer ********************** representatives once they know you. I honestly do see how they haven't been sued for breach of contract.CarShield

CarShield ***** it’s not worth the money. I had to call them 30times and recheck on my truck to get repaired and still didn’t do nothing. I ended up paying for my transmission out my pocket. This company is a straight ripoff. Trust me run as fast as you can. If I could give a negative number I would.CarShield

Ive had carshield for over 2 years and each single time i call there has been a problem with them everything from them me waiting a week and calling them and they say the part had been sent overnight to the shop to me calling back and them telling me the same part was never sent. And anothere where they told me that a part was sent and my shop refused it when my mechanic said nobody ever came. And now my car is in she shop and i have 2 contracts with them and my ****** is covered but they told my shop it wasnt covered so i called carshield and lady said i dont know why the adjuster didnt see it was covered and this went on back and forth for 2 weeks!! And now they keep telling me that the adjuster need pics etc. So i told them he need to call cause my shop cant be on the **** phone all day with you guys. And what do the do?? The call after 5pm eastern time while im in ******** and my shop is long closed. My shop hates dealing with them and wants is loaner back and i dont blame him. I can never ask him to call them again. They are horrible. They do not honor anything that their policy states. They will either deny the service or find a way to make the car owner responsible for over one half of the service. We will see them in courtCarShield

I was also a costumer with car shield for over a year had an issue with my jeep and all I got was a run around was also informed by an employee they don't have a good record for doing what they say was a really bad experience don't recommend at allCarShield

I would not recommend Carshield to anyone. Was a customer for over a year when I started having problems with my transfer case. Every company (including the dealer) ran diagnostic tests and all concluded the case was gone and needed replacement. However NONE would touch my car for repair/replacement because of past issues with CarShield. I would not get this insurance. My personal opinion is this is a scam to get your money.CarShield

Carshield is a CON, Rip Off to consumers. Please don't let the celebrity commercials fool you... I took my car to the shop for simple repairs on 11/21/2022. My mechanic diagnosed the problem and sent the information to Carshield. It was assigned to an adjuster named ****** ********. Mr. ******** did not respond to my mechanic or myself at all. He was completely missing in action. I called CarShield customer service and was told that they believe Mr. ******** is no longer with the company for he was not responding to customer service emails also. Therefore I was transferred to the Powertrain department as talked to a Christian. He spoke to myself and my mechanic. He input the needed information to my claim and set up a inspector to verify the diagnosis. This took another week. The inspector verified the diagnosis and sent the report to ******. Once again ****** did not take action. I called in again and was told my claim was transferred to a ***** for ****** was not responding. ***** stated that now they needed what is called a "Bar Test" to verify the damage is covered. My mechanic does not know what a Bar Test is and could not perform the test. Therefore I had to take my car to BMW to have them conduct the diagnosis and the needed test. BMW came back with the same diagnosis but stated they do not now what a "Bar Test is also. I called Carshield on 12/23...now my car has been in the shop for 30 days. I asked to speak to a Supervisor. I was advised that without a Bar test my claim would be denied. I asked if BMW cannot conduct the test who can. He advised that he can only give me a list of mechanics in my area but could tell my who could conduct this they needed. They obviously want to send me on a wild goose chase knowing the no one can conduct this test they are asking for. This just a way to deny a claim for a condition the is covered under my contract. Please do not do business with this company they are a complete rip off...CarShield
