I think CarShield is a total rip off. I had been paying into this warranty thinking that I would be covered if I had a problem with my vehicle. When I took my car to a dealer for service which cost over $2,500.00 and showed them the policy. They laughed and said that no reputable dealer that they knew of would accept the CarShield warranty. They were very sympathetic and itemized the bill and hoped that CarShield would at least reimburse me half of the cost. This did not happen. They only tried to get me not to cancel the warranty and they would reduce my monthly rates which they said would save me in the long run. I then cancelled the policy and get sick every time I see one of their phony commercials How can they be allowed to stay in business and robbing customers at the same time. I was paying them $109.00 per month for nothing. They also stated that I would need to call them first and they would tell me who I could take my car to. The places that were named I had never heard of. A total scam and the celebs that are advertising for them, should be ashamed of themselves as well. This has taught me a ******* Always check with the BBB FIRST. Had I known that they were not an accredited bbb business. No way would I have given them the opportunity to scam me.CarShield

Car Shield is a no good for consumers; they use celebrities to deceive the consumers. I wait 4 months to get my car out of the shop for a transmission. Their administrator American Auto Shield approved the claim for a new transmission for my car. They eventually sent a used transmission that was missing a reverse gear. I first had to wait 2 weeks before any response for the original claim to be approved. But afterward, I had to wait again for another adjuster to come out to verified that the 1st transmission had to be replaced. Mind you that my repair shop had to breakdown the car again for the 2nd time, along with arguing with the adjuster that my Computer Control Monitor had to be replaced because it was also bad. My mechanic was conversing with the GMC dealer that he is partner with to program the transmission. GMC informed my repair shop that car Control Monitor was not good; however, the adjuster did not believe that the Control Monitor was the problem and didn’t approve my claim even though he was informed by my repair shop continually about it. They only granted me 7 days for a rental car even after the 2nd adjuster called me at home to apologize about the damage transmission to informed me that the company was granting me an extension of 10 days on my rental car. Do you know, I kept the car for 10 days but when I returned the car, I had to pay for the additional 3 days because ********** Rental Cars indicated that Car Shield was not paying for the extension. I spoke to 2 different customer service representatives and they both said that they saw that extension of time was granted but it was not for the time of 10 days. To make a long story short, I had to pay for the extension for the car rental and $2,900.00 out of my own pocket to get my car out of the shop. I am filing a court claim against Car Shield********* **** ******* to be reimbursed for a part that is covered under my plan. I am canceling my plan.CarShield

I would not recommend Car shield to anyone. Was a customer for over a year when I started having problems with my car. My personal opinion is this is a scam to get your money. THIS COMPANY IS A BIG LIAR PLEASE DON'T USE THEMCarShield

Car Shield is a fraud and so is everyone who endorses them. I filed a claim with my 2017 Infiniti QX70. I was told I could take it to the dealership.
The dealership assess it and Car Shield; they informed them they would not cover the repairs.
Clearly what is stated would be covered which is the Radiator and water hose.
The service manager wss on hold for 2 hours trying to get the claim processed. I faithfully paid these idiots for one year and they this is what I was faced with. I called and was bounced to agent and management for hours with no solution given. This went on for 3weeks.
I had to pay 1780.00 out of pocket.
I called once again and was on the phone for over 2hours. Only to be lied to and told I had NOT filed a claim which was bullshit. I had a claim number and CarShield also towed my car to the Dealership. I was refused a renter.
I also asked if they would prorate the difference from the aftermarket parts cost that they wish I had placed on my car. I never want that and made sure to ask if dealership repair was feasible. I WAS TOLD YES! This whole debacle left a bad taste in my mouth. I felt used and taken for my money.
I had the Diamond Plan and I was out of almost 3000.00 and I do not have any money to give away. I am livid still. The only resolution that could be given to me is a total refund. I would like to see a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST CARSHIELD.
You are basing your company's profit on fraud. Pure and simple. You cherry pick the claims you wish to pay. Apparently your emplyees are trained to embellish; which is so unfair to the American people you vlaim to serve.
I am still livid months later and would never recommend you to anyone, anywhere, anytime.

I had Carshield. I had a problem with my suv. I called all decent repair shops and no one accepted the Carashield! The shop that did the repair told me they dropped Carshield because the used substandard parts and often sent wrong parts delaying the repair. When I called to cancel, representative was rude and gave me nothing but bull. I finally had to tell her, I am done cancel my coverage!! I cancelled on the 2nd of the moth and asked for a refund for that month, which was promptly refused. This company is not providing the service the promise in their ads! BUYER BEWARE!!!CarShield

Any repair facility can chose who they will and will not work with. This is clearly outside the control of CarShield. Worst company. Scam. They delay service and don't allow for original parts and do not covered many items that should be covered with repair. After paying for 2-3 months and having to pay non covered cost better to stay away from this company. They did not approve a rental as promised except 1 days.CarShield

This company is completely fraudulent. I purchased their INS to cover my vehicle for certain repairs. They sent me a list of what they cover in case of needed services. They have been taking payments from me every month to cover my 2 vehicles for over a yr. The problem arose when my vehicle needed repair for the services they said they offer. They declined to reimburse because even though my vehicle needed brakes they informed me that the part that was replaced is not what is covered therefore they declined . On a previous incident when my car also needed the services they offer they declined to cover for most of the repairs because i had taken to the repair shop that was not on their list. I explained to them that it was an emergency, the repair shop they said was on their list was too far away over 100 miles . Their representatives are extremely rude , the one l spoke with simply laughed at me and dared me to report him.CarShield
