Carshield is a scam. I paid my monthly payment for over 2yrs and when it was time for me to file a claim, I paid more out of pocket if I would not have used carshield. Their customer ********************** told me that my car had to be at the repair shop before the claim could be started. The shop had to order the part. Customer ********************** told me that I could get a rental car and I would be reimbursed. They refused to reimburse me for the rental car because the job only took an hour and a half once the part came in. I took my car to the shop on Monday to get checked out and when they told me they had to order the part I took my car back home. But because they said the car had to be at the shop I took my car back on Friday and got a rental car. My car was finished on Saturday but carshield did not authorize payment until Monday afternoon after the rental car place was closed. I needed a a/c blower motor and resistor. They said on the blower motor was covered. They then did not cover the full cost. They said they couldnt cover the dealership blower motor we should have a used a used blower motor. My car total to get fixed was $1200 and the rental was $350. They only paid $280. If I would have just waited to take my car to the shop when the part came in and did not get a rental car and just paid the cost myself I would have spent less money. My final cost because I had to pay the $100 deductible was $1000 at the shop and $350 for the rental. Not to mention I had to take time off from work to get the rental and drop it back off and drop my car off and pick it back up. Carshield is a scam. They take your monthly payment each month but dont want to pay the claims. Their customer ********************** management is rude. I canceled my policy and they still deducted the money from account and refused to reimburse me. I had to go through my bank to get that payment back.CarShield

Car Shield has a very unprofessional staff. No to mention they have all these celebrities sitting on television stating how great their warranty is. They are all liars, the company prides themselves on delaying claims so that a customer can be without their cars. This enables them to delay the rental that they promise in the contract. Then they will also have their agents put the wrong mileage in so that they can tell you that the miles are off. Once this is done they will say before we can approve your repair we must agree to an increased premium amount. Then once you agree they tell you that an adjuster must go to the facility. Once that happens they then say they want to send their own part, and that they will warranty them for 120 days. Once you say that you want the manufactures parts, because the repair facility won't warranty the repair. They then keep the card for a second week with no contact, then when you call in they say they are waiting for a team lead too look over the claim. During that time they send out a secondary company adjuster who takes 101 photos of the vehicle and then writes the total opposite of what the shop manager says. Then when you call they say the claim is still under review, when you state what's in the policy to them they then say give them ***** hours. Then you say hey its been 2 weeks now. How could you possibly need more time, their response is I will hang up on you if you raise your voice again. I respond with I'm so tired of flunkies taking up for a company that is just robbing hard working people. Their response is who is go to another company. 2weeks still waiting for approvalCarShield

Carshield is a horrible company!! You pay for something that nowhere takes! So why pay for something you can not use! If youre lucky to find somewhere that takes it, they barely cover anything! Good luck finding parts because if carshield and the dealership dont agree on that-then youre paying that much more. The commercials are way overrated and thats likely the best part you will find about Carshield. Sad to say, maybe if they spent less advertising time they could put more towards their customers who actually pay for a c*** company and bogus service!!CarShield

They sell you coverage without asking any questions. Find any reason to not cover work. Sold me a warranty program to a different company so you have to go back and fourth between companies. Took 2 months for them to even tell me my offer was denied.CarShield

If I could do no stars I would. This company is a joke. Took the adjuster 9 days to authorize repair and took 10 days for the Cost Effective transmission they chose to be shipped to repair shop, and would reimburse me $40 per day up to $160 total for car rental. My rental cost me $1400. Total joke. And said most of repairs were not needed so wont cover, wanted repair shop to use all old parts, nothing new. Clowns!!!!!! Dont ever get their extended warranty.CarShield

I had a crack in my windshield and my insurance company recommended me to car should have it repaired. My first experience with them was great they did a great job I went to the actual location in Greensboro North Carolina to have my window repaired. About a month later I got another crack in my windshield and I'll call the insurance company and they sent me back to car show to have it repaired. I wanted to go in but they insisted on sending someone out to repair it, I had never had someone come to a location to repair my car before and I wasn't comfortable with that but I agree. When the young man arrived he was extremely young, I was a little hesitant because he didn't look like he had any experience he wasn't old enough to have experience. He assured me he would do a great job so I allowed him to replace my windshield. He completed the windshield and was was finished quickly, he knocked on my door and told me he was done and we said goodbye. Well on my way to work my windshield has all this noise. It is the wind from outside when I'm on my cell phone people tell me they can hear the noise and I'm constantly asked what is that noise. I called carshield to have it repaired I work 12 hour shifts they wanted me to bring it to the center and I didn't have time to bring it to the center because of my career choice. Make an appointments but was unable to make it because I had a death in my family. The next appointment that was made I wasn't able to make it because I got sick. After that when I will call the customer service line in Greensboro North Carolina it would say that my information wasn't in the system so it wouldn't transfer me back to a customer service agent. It makes it very hard to get back in touch with them. I will never take my car or allow car shield to repair my windshield again I tried several times to get in touch with someone and unable to do so.

Car Shield commercials should be pull for false advertisements. I am a disabled senior citizen and their lack of car warranty coverage will cost me more than I get each month. This has put me in a bind because I live from month to month.Review fromAna M

This company doesnt stand by what they claim they used all the excuses in the world not to cover the transmissions issue there is no body to be held accountable I tried speaking to the claims supervisor to no avail donor believe anything they say bullies that take your lunch money thats all they are .,!!!!!!!CarShield

Worst company I have ever had to deal with. They do not cover anything they say they do. Tell you that you can use any mechanic, not true. Had to have my car towed to one of 2 of the closest mechanics, which was not close at all. Ended up with a towing bill of $285 which they only paid $125 of. Said they would cover rental car, which they did not. They account only for actual labor time for only what they cover, which in my case were the hoses, not the actual labor for the starter and replacement. There was a mechanic that I could have used 1 block from where my car broke down, Instead I had to have it towed 25 miles to one of their certified mechanics. Tried cancelling and still charge me. When Finally cancelled on day auto payment due they refused to refund me, even though cancelled. If allowed to leave a zero rating I would!CarShield
