  I was a customer of CarShield until earlier this month. I tried to file a claim only twice. The first was denied completely so I had to pay the whole cost of repairs out of pocket. The second repair was “approved” but even after being ready and willing to pay my deductible they didn’t want to pay my mechanic what he was charging for the repairs to my vehicle. Once again, I ended up paying full price. The only difference was I repaired the vehicle myself and it’s running like a champ now! Don’t use this CarShield! They are definitely like insurance! They take your money and run with it. All profit, no concern for their customers! Horrible!

  After paying their monthly premiums for 4 years, I finally needed their help and they dont cover my trucks catalytic converters. My cost $1400. Their cost $129.14. We pay for their highest level plan and expected everything to be covered. However thats not the case. They hire a company to research how much our truck for example breaks down, then Car Shield doesnt cover those items. I wouldnt recommend it for any one. Research what plan youre going to get and what it doesnt cover. Then you wont be surprised with a $1400 bill when you thought it would be covered!

  WHERE do I begin???? I'll start here.... CARSHIELD *****!!!! Do not EVER, EVER fall for their ********!!!! My car was in the repair shop for over 6 mos., because no one was ever able to get a hold of the adjuster. They had given the approval to repair the car (oil pump) verbally and repaired it with a $3700 bill, but ******** ********** (who carshield uses for their claims), says it was never approved so I was on the hook for the charge. Bottom line..... DO NOT GET CARSHIELD!!!!!!! Horrible company that does NOT wanna pay for anything.

  This is the worst company that I've ever belonged to. I was told that my warranty will be just the same as the warranty on the car manufactuperiod Later when my car did break down I broke down on the ********************* and car shield would not pick me up on the turn Pike. I had to call another company and that caused me $600 to have my vehicle toed to a replicable automobile repair company that I was told that I could go anywhere I want to go. Upon arrival later to find out my transmission had problems and they didn't respect the company that were I took it to and told me I had to take it to another transmission place to have a diagnostic. The company I was at they had already done a diagnostic and they told him what was wrong it's a reliable company that's been in business for years and don't automobile work and for some reason they didn't Let me have the work done here when they told me at the very beginning of the policy I could take it anywhere I wanna take it to. This all ran me several $1000 I ended up canceling the policy with carshield? Also they didn't tell Me that they have underwriters that look into wherever it is you take your vehicle which they did not tell me at the beginning they told me I could take it to wherever I wanted to take it to that they would honor that facility and repair

  Total scam you learn that when you finally need it. They will do everything in thir power not to pay. Make you pay diagnostics, provide lists of mechanics and dealerships that dont even accept carshield. Total scam. Example I joined so I could take my Toyota Avalon to Toyota of Orlando that the sales agent told me i could and they were an approved vendor and on the list of places I can take my car. All lies and scam. When I called almost eveyone on the list they provided me NONE of them would accept Carshield anymore. The few like *** **** wanted to charge me exorbitant diagnostic fees upfront. By the wat they are supposed to bill Carshield not charge the customer according to the contract. As well Carshield and mechanics will try to milk ypou to pay for the diagnostic charges when they deny the claim. See line 14 of the ******** Aluminum package...all lies. they need a nice huge class action lawsuit against them for all this false advertising and lies. I am glad I record all my conversations. Stay FAR away from this scam company.

  They are a scam will not fix my car when I was covered underneath my coverage I drove ******************************************************************************************************************************** April and I didn't have any problems with my vehicle to recently I got my contract about 2 months ago and now I'm having problems with my vehicle and I bought coverage that's not covered had my car at the dealership for 3 weeks and I still didn't fix my vehicle

  I’ve had Car Shield for about 3 years now and have had a couple repairs done at the dealership with CS paying for the repairs. However, both times, the service advisors complained about the hassle to working with Car Shield. Poor response time and very difficult to get reimbursed. Currently, I’m in need of a pretty big repair and i just found out that my dealership has stopped working with Car Shield. They will do my repair, but I would have to file my own claim, which isn’t how Car Shield works. So now I have the hassle of finding a shop that can work on this particular foreign car.
  Oh, and CS has increased their allowance per day for car rental (as they should!) but only for NEW contracts?!! This is garbage service.
  I don’t know how Car Shield has such high reviews on other sides, but unfortunately, I was fooled. I should have checked here. They aren’t even BBB accredited!

  Carshield and your administrator, ********************, are open to and willing to work with any repair facility that you select. However, each repair facility is able to determine who they wish to do business with as well. In this case they have refused to do business with you. There is nothing that CarShield or *** can do to force any repair facility to work with you.

  Carshield/******************** wants to try and say that the dealership just doesn't want to work with ME, which is absolutely ludicrous. I had been going to Land Rover in ********* ** until they recently said they would no longer with with Carshield but they did say that I could pay for the repair myself and submit the claim to Carshield. Since CS/******************** doesn't work that way, that wasn't an option. So I called the Land Rover dealership in ********** and they won't accept Carshield either! Nice try guys but you aren't pinning this issue on me! I have a great reputation but in this case, you do not.
