    I had Car Shield and American Home Shield owned by the same people. I called to Cancel because my husband passed away and I sold the vehicle and my home. That was last year and they still call me every day several times a day and ask me to update my vehicle information on a car I no longer owned and the same on my home - This has been so frustrating and just down right mean I told them I no longer own the car nor do I know the own. They don't stop calling and I upset and consider them a scam don't get involved ********* H (FED UP)

    Dont get car shield!! They are a scam of a business. I paid 159 dollars every month for security that if something ever happened to my car I had some kinda of help. My engine goes out. Im thinking well good thing I have warranty WRONG! First they took 2 months to review my claim! During those 2 months they only paid for a rental for 3 weeks. On top of that every time I called it seemed like everyone would tell me something different and when all is said and done they tell me they are denying my claim because of a carbon buildup issue which isnt in my contract. GO FIGURES!! They have no proof that that is the problem also thats literally something that I could not control!! So I dispute it and they come telling me they can help with a part that only cost a couple hundred dollars. That doesnt help. I feel like I was genuinely scammed. Out of my money and my time was wasted for 2 months to be told no anyways. Im beyond disappointed with this company.

    Yes, carshield had covered my daughter's vehicle with no issues,so I do believe carshield will cover my vehicle issues as well,forget about the back& forward thing.I have to trust this company (carshield)

    PLEASE STAY AWAY. I have turned wrenches for all of my life. I purchased the CarShield to protect my sons vehicle while he was in college. The first time I tried to use them was for an engine code. The variable valve timing solenoid is located in the engine. Following the codes, the dealer removed the *** and it was inop. The cost of the *** was $70, the next code was for the Throttle Body. TB cost was $330. My deductible was $200. The final bill was just over $1000. It cost me $980. The issue didnt get completely resolved, so the only thing left was to replace the timing gear and chain. Dealer estimate was high based on 23 hours of labor involved. CarShield expected me to pay for tear down costs in order for CarShield to send an appraiser to verify timing chain loose. If you dont know anything about vehicle repairs, customer ********************** will tell you anything they can to get out of paying. If you are an experienced mechanic, you will quickly learn that customer ********************** personnel (at least the people I dealt with) have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. Sorry for the long post.

    They were constantly lying to me, making up fake discounts, at one point a car shield sales representative called me too just ******* me. The price randomly jumped by over a hundred dollars in the course of about a week. They use fake reviews on this site, just watch for the scripted short reviews that appear near verbatim elsewhere for other auto warranty companies or elsewhere on their own bbb page. They tried to high pressure me into a purchase, by saying I was obligated by getting a quote from them. Incredibly disrespectful approach to the consumer. I was very enthusiastic to do business with them at one point, but they utterly squandered me as a customer with their insulting style of business. They assiduously taught me not to trust them.

    wish brakes were covered, and wish the roadside assistance/towing & rental car coverage actually WAS a real thing. Was stranded alongside road last winter and could not get a tow truck or assistance from car Shield, I was on my own. Needed a rental car while my vehicle was in the shop, car Shield failed in that regard too. They DID pay for 1/2 of the shop bill, so..... there's that. **** are friendly, but things need to work better in the coverage and commitment department

    I am compelled to warn others about my disappointing experience with CarShield. Initially, their promises of comprehensive coverage seemed appealing, and I invested in their service, trusting it would offer peace of mind. However, when it came time to use their services for repairs, I encountered numerous obstacles.CarShield denied my repair claim and repeatedly demanded unnecessary paperwork. Each submission seemed to disappear into a void, with no acknowledgment. Despite my frequent follow-ups, CarShield's response was either silence or ************ make matters worse, their customer ********************** was alarmingly unprofessional. Representatives were dismissive and rude, ignoring my messages and failing to return calls. This lack of communication and support left me stranded, wondering how to proceed as my car sat idle at the repair shop.While this was happening, the repair shop imposed storage fees$50 per daydue to the lack of authorization from CarShield. The absence of communication compounded my financial stress, turning what should have been a straightforward repair into a costly ********* hindsight, I regret choosing CarShield. The money I spent on their monthly fees could have been better saved for direct repairs. I urge potential customers to read reviews carefully and consider more reliable alternatives. CarShield's lack of professionalism and efficiency is not worth the risk or aggravation.If you're considering CarShield, I suggest you look elsewhere for vehicle protection. Choose a provider that values professionalism, transparency, and efficient servicequalities that were sorely lacking in my experience with CarShield.
