Replaced the whole house with new windows with a new bay window configuration in the living room. Couldn't be more happy with that choice. Windows look great, and I have peace of mind with security in my basement windows. Crew showed up on time and finished in three and a half hours. Crew cleaned up and took away the old windows. I had windows put in by Universal Windows at the end of summer. The 3 man crew that put them in were very respectful and finished in a timely manner. A couple of weeks after the windows were in I started to clean the windows like recommended so I could put the blinds back up. I have a picture window in the living room and in the middle of it I found a blemish in the glass. I called Universal and told them the situation. They sent someone out to speak with me and take a look. *** came out, we talked and he got what he needed to order a new window. A month later the new window came in. *** and ***** came out to install the new window. As *** was carrying it in the glass started cracking on him. He felt really bad but they put the original window back in and placed an order for another new window. So this past Mon ***** and *** came out to install the new window for the 3rd time and it was bitter cold. They were very respectful and asked before moving forward with each step. Everything went well this time around. They were scheduled to come at 2 according to their paperwork but I was told over the phone between **** arriving. They called to see if I was available early and I said I was already waiting for them since I leave at 2 for work. So everything worked out well, I would have felt comfortable leaving them there and telling them to hit the lock button:)Universal Windows Direct of St. Louis

They have caused $10,600 damage to my home. I have sent them pictures and invoices. They still insist that I pay them the balance of $5,700 on my windows and that they will not be reimbursing me for damage to my home and have threatened me with collections. That they want their final payment before they settle things regarding the damage. Sorry, thats not how that works because I know as soon as they are paid, they will become ghosts and the damage repair costs will be entirely on me. I have had to retain an attorney and have had to cease communicating with them other than in writing. The install was horrendous, they broke over 30 pieces of siding on the back of my home during the install. The windows were installed improperly, a second crew had to correct the install and even that crew has not fixed everything. I had to hire a contractor for the siding. The install crew drilled/ground out concrete in the basement and caused cracks in our foundation that start at the window frame and descend down. In total its 23 linear feet of cracks that have to be repaired. The install and the aftermath has been nothing but a headache. Buyer beware. The windows are pretty and they give a pretty good sales spiel, but the headache of having to get them to do the right thing when things do not go right is just abysmal. Proceed with caution. They do not hold themselves accountable for anything that *** go wrong.Universal Windows Direct of St. Louis
