On phone to rent car due to totaled clam from ****. Went to pick up car , first they started **** accepted charges and would pay for up to $30 a day until $900. The almost finished, they stated that **** called and change payment process. I had to pay fully for rental cost up front and get money back from ****, plus charged $300 hold on my card, left then called **** they stated they never called and changed payment process, They called enterprise and fixed the payments They payed all of rental. The truly thank enterprise was changing payment on there on , to take my money but not follow agreement with ****. We on fixed income a this would have effected us badly having to pay this money up front.Review fromMatt G

Rented a vehicle from ************************* ( RSW ) . Discovered car was infested with COCKROACHES after 15 - 20 were in our carry out box. Long story short, NO local branches would take car back . Had to drive hour and half back to airport to exchange. We tested with bread for proof so we could at least show Enterprise so they knew we were not making this up. ( there is no way to upload pictures here ) . I have already called Twice and was promised a returned call from " Area manager ".. No return call both times.... Really unacceptable.... I get things happen with vehicles , no difference than a engine light coming on . But zero care from ********* offices .Review fromLariel H.

Racism is what they do best. My husband has rented multiple cars from different locations and we always have a problem with one associate Kaleb. He always tries to find a reason to not rent to my husband. He asked for another form of picture ID after he is the same person who rented him the previous vehicle. Saying his other associate said the Drivers License looked fake as my husband has grew his hair out. He asked my husband for a ****** card as another form of ID. ***** NEVER lets my husband pick his vehicle and always gives us ones that has to come back for oil changes. Its due to our race as he has NEVER done this to any others while we are there. They are RACIST towards BLACKS!!Review fromJim W

I flew to ***** for a business conference on 3/19/25. I rented a car from Enterprise, and it was a horrible experience. First, the Sales Manager wanted to give me a "free upgrade" to an SUV. Because I had arrived in a city I was not familiar with, I wanted to keep the original vehicle. The sales manager then moved onto the next customer. However, the I-Phone charger didn't work with my I-Phone in the rented vehicle. So another Enterprise **** offered me a different vehicle. I then forgot to move all my luggage from the 1st to the 2nd vehicle. In addition, my charger didn't work in the 2nd vehicle. I barely made it to my hotel with my cell phone battery winding down. When I realized I left my CPAP breathing device in the first vehicle, I drove 20 miles back to ************* to 1) get a car with a charger that I could use and 2) try to find my ***** The Sales Mgr. I spoke to ( the same one as the first time) was happy to swap out the first vehicle. However, he was rude and totally dismissive of trying to find the ***** He said that vehicle was rented out, and he had no way to contact the driver. So we got into a disagreement, and he then refused to rent me any vehicle. So, I ended up ( after charging my phone for 20 min., to get a Lyft to take me to my hotel. I asked for the name of the Sales Mgr. and he refused to tell me. This whole experience is the opposite of the type of customer service experience that ***** Hotels experiences. I heard one time that a senior forgot his medications and he was from **. A ***** Hotels **** drove 5 hours to get the medication- meaning that customer is a customer for life. ********************** talks a good game when you show up on their lot to rent a car. But this experience has taught me that when you really need their help, they are nowhere to be found. It's very disappointing that the Sales Mgr. may not be held accountable for his actions during this entire experience.Review fromHarold D

We had to rent a car due to an accident (not our fault) and when we returned the car, which had Arizona plates, we were told it had hail damage. However, there were no hailstorms during the time we rented it. A couple of months later, they sent a bill for $2K+ for damage to fenders, doors the roof, and all kinds of other stuff. These people are fraudsters, and they won't hesitate to try to scam you out of every dollar they can. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ANY BRANCH OF ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR unless you want to be defrauded. As far as I'm concerned Enterprise Rent-A-Car is a criminal enterprise. If there were an option for zero stars, I'd use it.Review fromRohan B

We rented a pickup on Thursday afternoon from the *******, Wi. location. Originally I checked with Tomah, Wi which did not have a truck or a drop box for off hours returns; but had a great staff who was very helpful. In ******* we had a hassle as the website did not state a credit card is necessary so with plenty available on debit we planned to use that. We got that debacle straitened out without any help from the management. We then tell the representative, whom tells us they run that location, that we will need to bring the truck back after closing on Friday. We discuss the fact that the office has a key drop and cameras to see the truck has been returned. "If you want to return a vehicle when the branch is closed you must check with them when picking up your vehicle to determine if an "after hours" service drop box is available. Doing so will help you avoid additional charges" (This quoted section is copied directly from the frequently asked section on the Enterprise website).Friday comes we realize we need it longer than the time they requested (closing time, even though we already established they were set up for after hour drops, it even displays on the web page that they accept after hour drops) we call to inform them we will need to return the truck later than 5. We bring the truck back Saturday in daylight hours and park in view of the cameras waiting for a spot to open up as the neighboring businesses also park along the curb. Finally we move the truck in front of another camera. I then take my phone and capture video footage of the full fuel gauge, the condition of the interior, a full walk around of the truck and the walk back to the key drop. I then show their camera and mine that I have the key and am dropping it in the key slot well before the 48 hour ***** We then get billed for 4 days even though it is obvious we had it for 2 days and a few hours. Rent with caution if you need to or do not mind giving money to them as a charity. Truck was nice.Review fromAndy M

This company is garbage. They have deceptive marketing that entices you to rent a particular car to fit your needs. When you show up they are out of that type and give you an option of a non equivalent model. I have a large family and we intended to take a vacation. The premium SUV was what we booked and received confirmation for. This was a few weeks ahead of schedule. When I called to confirm the night before pickup I was told they dont have those models at that location but I could get them at another. I arrived at the second location and they also did not have the premium SUV and attempted to get me in something that would work. I decided to call Alamo and they were amazing about the rental of a premium SUV. I will NEVER rent from Enterprise again. I will ALWAYS tell everyone I meet to not use enterprise. Horrible.Review fromWendie S

When renting car, the bumper in front was 'popped' out. They 'made a note' of it on the iPad when we looked at it. Acknowledged damage. Returned. Now being told there is damage and to pay. They can simply file it to insurance on record. Finally get an answer on what damage. It's the bumper! So, they lie and get everything printed out and save it, hopefully you don't get screwed by them like me.Review fromShirtona H

I got into a car accident and had to rent a car for a month. In their system, I selected a car for $30 a day, but they put me in a $60-a-day vehicle without telling me they upgraded it. Im pretty sure they stay silent about price changes because they get paid on commission. After having the car for about ****************************************************************** five days. I was ******. Their only solution was for me to return the car and switch to a cheaper one. This was during a snowstormI wasnt trying to drive since the roads were icy (and I was still shaken from my accident). But the next day, I returned it anyway. When I got there, they suddenly had no cars with all-wheel drive. Then they told me they couldnt check other Enterprise locations inventorywhich sounds like a straight-up lie. The manager also admitted that they dont tell people prices unless asked, meaning they purposely avoid talking about costespecially when they upgrade you. Thats shady and dishonest business. I ended up driving to a different Enterprise to switch my car. This location is slimy. Do not rent from them. I paid over $600 out of pocket. I prepaid just to avoid having to speak to them when dropping the car off. My accident was already traumatic, and they only made it worse. Both cars they gave me sounded like they were on the verge of breaking down. Since it was freezing outside, the windshield washer fluid was frozen, so I couldnt even use it.When I finally returned the car at the end of all this, all they had to do was hand me my receipt so I could leave. Instead, they tried to say I owed $700 (or maybe $7, I couldnt tellbut I know for a fact I paid over $600 two weeks prior and didnt owe them a dime). After some back and forth, they finally confirmed I owed nothing.Ive rented from Enterprise several times, but this was the worst experience. This location should be shut down.
