    This company has withheld $1142 of my money and is lying about a refund that was supposed to be submitted. This company is not reputable.

    We did process that refund for your about a week after this review was posted. The refund came in check form and that process does take longer than a direct refund via credit card, typically 6-8 weeks.

    They are TERRIBLE! I had to cancel well ahead of the time for the trip and I didn't even get a dime of my deposit back. I'm just glad I didn't put down any more money than I did. I will NEVER book a trip with them again! They probably make most of their money on the tragedies of people who need to cancel. They are ruthless, unethical and depict the true meaning of AMERICAN GREED!

    We booked a trip to ****** and ***** with Go Ahead Tours. Wonderful trip. The next trip to Europe we had to cancel because of general money issues. The problem is with their insurance carrier. Go Ahead Tours deals with *****************************. ** Ahead advertises Any Reason Protection. The document distributed is worded so that the reader can cancel accordingly. But of course there is fine print and links that suggest otherwise. No one should argue that the minute you cancel you should not get back the cost of insurance. What is not clear is the % of money you dont get back from ** Ahead because you cancelled after a certain date. We lost out on $4,000 because we had to cancel. The $4,000 is made up on a voucher for the next trip with ** Ahead. Go Ahead Tours needs to look at their business practices when it comes to their wording, transparency with customers and not interacting punitively. It was mentioned to us that they have to pay ahead of time for services in places and cancellations require them to charge fees. **od business practices are enhanced by word of mouth comments and fairness. I hope ** Ahead revisits any reason protection. It is false advertising!

    Thank you for your review. On our website, it clearly states that Any Reason Protection is a voucher cancellation policy. We also make sure to clarify this when customers purchase this protection since it is important to distinguish the difference between a voucher and a direct refund. The voucher can be used on any future tour, giving a customer more freedom to cancel but also be able to travel still in the future. The cost of insurance is not refundable, but you can use the insurance you've purchased to get a direct refund for your cancellation fees. Our cancellation policy is in our Terms and Conditions which each customer needs to review and sign. The closer one gets to a tour, the higher the cancellation fee since we do (as stated in your review) have costs associated with making sure we get things arranged for each traveler who signs up for one of our tours.

    I come from a large family - one of my brothers passed away and left my sister and I enough money to cover this trip with and we were going in his memory! The tour company promised gateway meetup for my sister and I but they forgot??. So the trips were booked absurdly different . Calls to remedy were made multiple times to the tour. Always promising they were working on it. Eventually my sister was told it would be an additional ******* for her. I spoke with the tour group and told them I would not pay in full until remedied. They have extended this until the deadline has passed to cancel and they say we can not get a refund. The insurance offered/ and paid for we found out is only for special medical conditions. New offer on flights today is that we each pay an additional $350! All confidence is now shot with this group. If they cant stick to their promises before trip, I cannot trust them to manage a tour in ***** ??. They offered a voucher to travel with them in the future which I would never do sad

We were working on trying to find similar flight itineraries. This can take up to ***** business days to complete, which we did set that expectation when you first called in about your itineraries. We also did make sure to communicate the request for similar gateways, but we can never promise that we will be able to fulfill that request. As for the insurance covering your cancellation fee, there are specific reasons that are reimbursable by insurance for the cancellation fee. A medical incident is one reason, but not the sole reason. We hope that you'll be able to travel with your sister soon, if you haven't already.

    My sister and I wanted to book a trip to ***** with this company. We initially told the woman we wanted a gateway meetup as my sister lived in a different state and we wanted to travel together. She told us no problem at all.. fast forward 3 months after probably ***** times calling the company to find out our flight arrangements and being on hold over and over -finally those flight details were posted just so happens that info came AFTER the final due date to get any refund.. called today and was told there would be an additional charge for us to change the original flights which never included a gateway meetup in the first place! Oh so frustrating! Called my ****** credit card company and disputed the cost!! Wow ****** learned use you ****** credit card. They are getting my money back- all of it!!!

    Thank you for review. We are sorry that expectations were not set better in terms of what same gateway meant. We cannot guarantee that we'll be able to correspond itineraries from different gateways so that long haul flights can match up. We did try our best to provide available options, but those did carry additional costs. We were able to refund most of your trip, per our cancellation policy, the only amount that was up for dispute was the cancellation fee which is issued when every tour is processed. We did offer this cancellation fee to be issued as a voucher so that, if you wanted, you could restart the process of rebooking your trip and booking your flights on your own with your sister.

    BEWARE!! DO NOT BOOK WITH EF TOURS! They can't be trusted to follow through with what they say. They will promise you good flights and hotels until they get your money and then change it without notifying you. UNTRUSTWORTHY! Stay away unless you want a cheaper, inferior flight and hotel. Bait and switch for services proposed and then offered an inferior option! We felt scammed!

    Thank you for leaving a review. Your flight change that occurred was made by the airline independently. EF Go Ahead cannot control whether a flight change occurs prior to departure, just as we cannot control a flight delay or cancellation. We weren't able to provide the same flight itinerary as before since it was no longer an option, but did try to provide an itinerary that was comparable. Again, decisions made by the airlines can occur and we are sorry to hear that this change was the main reason for your cancellation. We will be implementing a more customer facing flights team to help resolve these issues quicker when changes like this do happen to travelers itineraries.

    I booked a $6000 tour and purchased the travel insurance which I understood allowed me to get a refund if I canceled for any reason. I had to postpone my trips so I purchased another $400ish insurance plan. Now I have had to cancel but the travel company will not refund my money. I believed the Better Business Bureau when they gave this company an A+. I think that it is time for them to reevaluate that rating.

    Thank you for leaving a review. We do offer a voucher system to cover a cancellation fee allowing you to cancel for any reason. That voucher was issued with your first cancellation so that you could book a future tour, but insurance costs are non-refundable. When you do cancel and want your cancellation fee refunded, you do need to work with insurance. They do have a set policy of what they will cover for a cancellation reason and we do not decide what is covered and what is not. We do refund what we can, minus the cost of insurance and the cancellation fee. We did follow through on what we could on our end to help you with the cancellation process, but we do have a transparent cancellation policy in our Terms and Conditions that anybody, even prior to booking, can review.

    I have traveled with Goahead tours twice. I just came back from a ***** tour about 2 weeks ago. They are unorganized and customer service is horrible before you leave on your trip Beside being very expensive. They charge premium fees for your flights and offer one option with the worst and unreliable thrifty European airlines It was a nightmare to fly home after the tour. When I complained to customer service support. They said they will try to do better. I am not falling for that a 3rd time

    Although I am surprised Go Ahead Tours responded to my concerns on this platform. They refuse to publish it on their website. I have moved on and chose another tour company that has already been great with providing good service especially with accommodation to flights and tour details prior to my upcoming trip I would not recommend Go ahead Tours to anyone as there are many other good Companies providing excellent customer service.

    I booked a trip 3 and a half years ago and this company canceled due to covid they held onto all my money and I did not receive interest it was almost seven grand in 2022 I decided to cancel the trip and was told I didn't need a reason to cancel as I bought travel insurance well the insurance company won't pay me the thousand of dollars they owe me be very careful I'm not done here filing a complaint with the BBB and insurance commissioner I will never ever use this travel company ever again

It shows that the rebooking and cancelation policies were clearly described to you as you informed us you would not be joining the tour past the Tour Finalization date.     I'm very disappointed in their lack of understanding and customer service. I have a trip to ***** that I am supposed to take tomorrow for ***. I am running across an issue with a name change (which I did not notice until this Friday). When I made the reservation back in April, it was under my maiden name. I since changed it to my married name over the summer. I had issues checking in with Delta due to the name difference. I called Delta to provide whatever docs necessary. They initially seemed like it was an easy fix and would take care ofit... until they noticed that I booked through a Travel Agency . They said the Travel Agency had to take care of it. I called GoAhead tours and they have been giving me the run around , saying that Delta denied the request and I would have to re-book entirely costing me thousands more. I asked what we can do to cancel and just rebook for next year and they said that it would cost $1,000 more per person. That's NOT RIGHT! Sounds to me like they just want to find a way to make more money! I'd be perfectly happy if they just cancelled and pushed me off to next year with no rebooking fee. But NOPE! They refused to. I don't know what I'm going to do or what's going to happen, but all I know is that I'm going to be facing an uphill battle with them.

    Thank you for leaving a review. We understand that TSA documents and name changes can be frustrating. However, we weren't able to change the name on the last leg of the flight, causing inconsistencies with the documentation. We are not responsible for required TSA documents, that needs to be updated by the traveler independently. We did give you three options on how we could proceed including the $1000 rebooking fee, which is standard if a rebooking needs to happen that close to departure since we have already paid for tour components by that point in time. Another option was to go to the airport and work with the airline directly. It seems that option was successful and we are happy that you were able to make tour!
