    My wife and I have been on 4 EF Go Ahead Tours (2 in *****, 1 in ******/******** in *******) and each tour was well planned and orchestrated by EF Go Ahead Tours. The tours and excursions we signed up with were reasonably priced and fully met our expectations. The main tour guides were very personable and knowledgeable and also provided us with their contact information if ever needed. At times we had special local guides who were knowledgeable about the specific areas we were visiting and they very much added value that we would have missed if not for their expertise.Our 5th tour ended up being cancelled due to an Aer Lingus flight being cancelled due to a food truck colliding with the plane after we had boarded. After 3 hours sitting on the plane the pilot advised that the Lufthansa engineers evaluated the plane as potentially dangerous to fly and the flight was cancelled. Unable to obtain another flight we needed to cancel the trip. Several days later we contacted an EF Go Ahead Tours "Customer ******************** Specialist" and explained our situation noting our flight and trip cancellation was not the fault of EF Go Ahead Tours, Aer Lingus or ours and can we get our trip moved to future trip. After several discussions with an amazing "Customer ******************** Specialist" who fully understood our situation we were able to reschedule our tour for 3 months later. It is wonderful knowing that EF Go Ahead Tours has caring employees/personnel that can empathize with their Customers. Looking forward to making 2 annual international tour trips with my wife through EF Go Ahead Tours as we are now both retired.

    Back in February 2023, the flight from ********* to ***** has been cancelled not at our fault and as a result, we had to buy two new tickets costing $3,803.71 (economy) to get to the destination and join the group we were traveling with. Upon return, we have filed a claim and received the total of $1,294.31. We appealed and on 6/10/2023 we have received additional $705.69. We have not given an explanation how the insurance calculated the mount. While purchasing a tour to ***** and ******* we made sure to purchase insurance and be covered from unexpected events. It turned out that for the total losses of $3,803.71 we incurred; we've been compensated only $2,000. Seven ***************** refused to refund the rest, which is $1,803.71 claiming that $1,000 per person is the maximum they can do even though the travel protection benefits states that "..the maximum benefit amount per person is $2,500 for the unused non-refundable portion of the Prepaid expenses for your trip as long as the expenses are supported by proof of purchase and are not reimbursable by any other source." United Airline, Lufthansa, and EF Go Ahead are washing hands from the problem, and *********************** that EF Go Ahead has a contract with do the same. Moving forward, we will have to find a different company to do our travels, but it will never be EF Go Ahead. Their dishonesty is disappointing and I would not recommend this company like I did in a past.

EF Go Ahead does provide a travel insurance option for travelers to purchase so that unexpected travel costs, such as the one that you experienced, could be reimbursed in some form. However, EF Go Ahead is not an insurance provider nor are we the deciders on how a claim is handled. We understand that working with insurance can be frustrating, but we are glad that you had insurance coverage so that compensation of some sort was possible. We also did our best at EF to support you with this claim, however we are very limited in what we are able to do once an insurance company decides how a claim should be reimbursed based off of their policy. Despite the unexpected flight cancellation and costs, we do hope that once you were on tour that you enjoyed the overall touring experience.

    This sham tour company pulled a Bait and switch on many levels...... avoid avoid avoid! Never wasting my money on this c*** ************ again ......total fraudsters!

We took thorough notes regarding your feedback since we are constantly evaluating our tours to make sure we are creating a better overall customer experience. We do hope that you'll be traveling again soon, even if it is not with EF Go Ahead.

    Did a tour in September to Ireland on which both of us contracted covid. Despite the literature stating, clearly, that all passengers needed to be checked none of ** were, and at least two people were visibly sick from day one. Their "guarantee" apparently only means we can use the credit to attend another tour, and pay more money. I tried to simply transfer my credit to someone else and they said no. I tried to contribute my tour or my credit to an educational facility and they said no. The insurance was useless. Travel, by their discretion was a nightmare (I eventually got my own airline tickets, thus forfeiting my travel credit for their "chicken run" back of the plane ordeal. ) Communication with these people is almost impossible and the people I DO get to talk to are, for the most part, apparently, either shills, or people with ZERO authority. I will ********** my credit expire rather than deal with this company on their terms and at their convenience. . . . . of course, this is what they expect . . . . they win. Not good for seniors, students or anyone else.

    Thank you for leaving a review. At the time you did go on tour, EF did require a travelers to test before joining tour. However, whether they tested properly and were honest was something that we could never fully verify. We are sorry to hear that you did not feel well while on tour. We still do have a policy to give travelers vouchers if their tour is interrupted due to Covid and refund some out of pocket costs during an isolation period, including additional hotel costs and meals. We still do follow the *** recommendation of five isolation days while on tour, but do not require travelers to see a physician, unless they feel it is necessary. Everything you stated regarding the voucher is correct, our vouchers are not transferrable. Insurance is always an option for reimbursement for interrupted time on tour and additional costs due to illness, but will make compensation decisions based on their own policy, which is available for every travelers review before going on tour. You did receive a full voucher from us for your tour, which could cover a completely new tour with any additional upgrades or excursions. We did communicate the various ways that the voucher could be applied and used and are sorry to hear that you didn't feel that the voucher would be useful in the future.

    Do not travel Go Ahead Tours or enroll for travel insurance with Seven Corners. If you happen to experience any sort of interruption on your trip, you will not be reimbursed a cancellation fee by Seven Corners. I just got my appeal denied because Im pregnant. They told me I had to have complications while traveling on my due date in order to be reimbursed. I booked my trip prior to Covid-19 and they used the restrictions to make money off travelers. Go Ahead Tours and Seven Corners are both fraudulent companies. They delete comments and hide the horrible reviews they get to cover up their wrongful doings.

    Thank you for leaving a review. We are sorry to hear that your insurance claim was denied. However, EF Go Ahead does not have a say as to how an insurance claim is reimbursed or handled since we are not the insurance provider nor are we an insurance company. We do state very clearly in our Terms and Conditions that there is a cancellation fee that will be issued depending on the date of cancellation. We do directly refund the rest of the tour costs, not including the fee plus cost of insurance (if purchased). We are transparent about this and our Terms and Conditions are publicly listed on the our website for review. Again, we are sorry to hear your cancellation circumstances did not meet the insurance policy for reimbursement, but hope that you'll be able to travel to your intended destination in the near future.

    We just returned from our EF Go Tour to ******. It was an incredible experience. We had the best tour director in Eleftheria. She took care of our group of 16 every step of the way. I would & will book another EF Go Tour again in the future!

    EF tours planned a trip for 10 people for a 2 week trip in Europe. We advised the tour director we would be needing to fly to our next destination with time to make ********** in ******. They asked ** to pay everything and they would fix the flights later. Now that everyone had paid $5800 each, $58,000 total they arent as helpful and seem to forget they promised to get ** to the cruise and back in time. Now we are being asked to pay additional $1500 each to correct their booking mistake. The tour Director was conveniently on vacation and no one could help **. We are stuck with a flight time which we may not be able to make from ********** and get stuck there with fees. Worst experience ever, I will spread this on social media platforms.

    Thank you for your review. This was submitted prior to your tour so we do hope that everything went well. We did book your flights correctly with the dates that we were given. Later on, we were contacted and made aware that the return date given was incorrect and tried our best to find the best options available to be able to change the tickets for the whole group. Unfortunately, these changes close to a departure can carry with them additional costs. It was probably unexpected, which is understandable, but we are glad that we were able to find options to correct the issue. From the post-tour conversations staff had with your group, everything seemed to have gone smoothly and we do hope, again, that you enjoyed your vacation.

    One month before my Tour of ****** my flight reservation for my daughter and I disappeared. I suspect they were given to someone else. Eventually the company put me on a flight that required me to go from ***/ ******** to ******* to ***/*************. Given how many direct flights there are between *** and **, I asked for a nonstop. But then I discovered they put my daughter on a totally different flight home. Hers connected in *****, mine in ******. Their response to my concern was essentially, make an appointment to talk to me next week. I leave in about 10 days. One would expect a more immediate response to their obvious mismanagement of our flights. I paid way in advance. I had other complaints about a previous booking but a friend talked me out of it. She's part of a scrapbook group that uses GoAhead. Now that I have read other reviews and understand that I am not an isolated case, I will inform these people and other groups I know about my experience. UNLESS I GET IMMEDIATE REMEDIATION. I think that is fair.

    Thank you for writing and letting us know about your experience. When this review was written, we were in the process of solving the issue with the flight reservation team. We do not give away confirmed and secured flight reservations to others, that is absolutely not a part of our flight procedure and protocol. We did end up resolving the issue and providing you and your daughter a better and same flight itinerary. This was solved a few days after this review was left. It does take us some time to find alternate solutions, but we were working behind the scenes to see what options we could provide you. We do hope that your overall tour experience went well and that the assistance provided to help resolve the flight itinerary issue was satisfactory.

    Go Ahead Tours can Go Ahead and kiss my a** because they are horrible!!!! I got scammed out of my prepaid flights and the help line basically said good luck with that and I had to pay an additional $7,000 to get to ****** in time for my tour. Then I felt nickel and dimed almost daily while I was there. When I finally got to ****** no one would pick me up from the airport like they said they would and my tour director didnt answer his phone calls or texts messages. Called the help line to ask about transportation and they told me to wait another ***** minutes in the airport and keep trying to call your director. Yeah so an hour later, 60 euros later, I got myself to the hotel. This company is awful and has the absolute worst customer service. Its like they actively try to irritate you by being especially unhelpful when youre ready to cry and pull out your ************ point I really considered just going home and forgoing the tour because of how angry, disappointed, exhausted, financially spent I was.

    We are sorry to hear that your experience getting to tour was so frustrating. We were unable to refund you for the out of pocket expense of rebooking you flights because the rebooking happened due to an error with your travel documents, which doesn't fall under our realm of responsibilities. Every traveler needs to provide their correct TSA information when booking with us. As for the transfer from the airport, you were told that you should take taxi since the Tour Director was probably busy leading the group at that time and we refunded you the amount for the transfer. Again, we are sorry to hear that the start to your trip was frustrating, but do you hope that once you got on tour, you enjoyed your time.

    This is the worst tour company ever. The hotels they pick are not vetted for quality. The worst hotel was the ****************** in ****. The hallways do not have baseboards and there are plaster fix *** on the walls that have not be finished or painted. Total disaster.Never ever again booking with this company. Minus 10 Stars.
