EF Go to H*** took my money waited out 3 weeks for a trip to Im not going anywhere 6 days before the trip. No contact from the company after my every other day calls. ***** doing not going ahead touring anytime at no time trip. Dont do it with EF you wont get to GReview fromMelissa M

I used this company because they boast about customer service. I had to call the emergency number on tour and they were no help whatsoever. Then, the airline lost our luggage for five days. As soon as we got home, we all filed with the airline on July 5, 2022 to get our money for items we had to purchase. The airline had put all our claims together since EF GAT booked all to flights. Because of that, Lufthansa is saying we need power of attorney to file claims. I have asked EF GAT multiple times for help and it has been five months and they still havent helped me. I am disappointed and angry. I understand being short staffed after COVID, but this customer service is beyond reproach.EF Go Ahead Tours

We understand that working with the airlines can be frustrating and with this particular situation there was not much we could do on our end to meet the demands of Lufthansa. We do book flights for customers, but we are subject to the airline policy just as much has any other third party vendor. We did our best to look into options for you and see if it was a possibility to support you with the power of attorney documents, but we unfortunately could not. Though going back and forth between the airline and us was hard, we truly did provide you with the best options that we could at the time and even were able to process a refund for you that typically didn't follow our normal guidelines. Terrible company. Tricked by fancy brochures and a beautiful website into believing that this was a professional company. They lack any type of communication between departments and when we payed extra for a trip to ********** the local guide told us that it was scheduled on a regular strike day. Even thought the tour guide had that knowledge, it was not reported so that we could cancel the excursion and make different arrangements on a different day. They drove us out there to see if we would be let in and we were not. ********** was on strike. This was the last day of our vacation and we were not able to see this beautiful historic location at all.EF Go Ahead Tours

Just finished *********** a Taste of ****** (ending Oct 2022). It was a an awesome trip! EF was great to work with as I had several clarifying questions I wanted answered before booking. Our tour guide was superb. She was both a great listener and speaker. As an Athenian local she knew the history of the areas we traveled to and was always available to help (a member of our group had a food reaction and she went with him to a clinic on Crete and got the pharmacy to stay open to get the medicine needed). The local guides used for specific sites were all top notch. The ferry to Santorini was canceled due to weather so we were quickly booked on a flight and arrived hours before the ferry would have arrived. We also arrived before all the cruise ships docked So we had ***, Santorini to ourselves for several hours. Great work by our tour guide and EF Tours Like any *********** they have a lot of rules. Read them and follow them - virtually every contingency is spelled out. I don't think you will have a problem if you did. I also booked my own flights...Review fromLydia B

My tour has been cancelled 3x this time Im told due to Covid well at same time of my tour and before other tour groups have gone on African safari ******** and ******** this tour group has refused to refund all my money they want me to book diff trip or rebook .I donot trust this company they cancelled and I feel I should be refunded all my money which was my lifes savings I am 70 and had wanted to do this trip but they keep cancelling and I am on limited income cannot afford to lose any money I paid they are making money from usEF Go Ahead Tours

Thank you for leaving a review. We did have a rebooking or voucher options for our Covid related cancelled tours. A traveler could've have cancelled and received the cancellation fee which (if they had insurance) could've applied to get covered by insurance. It does seem that since this cancellation occurred you were about to travel and had a great tour! EF Go Ahead Tours handled our flight arrangements in addition to our trip. We were scheduled to arrive at De Gaulle airport at 8am (which we did) and catch our connecting flight at 9:15am (this is an impossibility). After taking a bus to the airport, 3 trams, going through customs and finding our gate, we missed our flight. Because 4 of us were traveling together, the only flight we could take was at 9pm. Thirteen hours to wait and we were given a $15 voucher each. Not enough. We arrive in ******** at 10:30 only to discover my husbands luggage was still in *****. We missed our first day of the tour, including our welcome dinner. Now to coming home from Rome, we arrive at the airport to discover we were on standby along with 7 other people. We did make it home because of cancellations, but talk about STRESS, once again. I have been in touch with Go Ahead tours since August 5, the day after we returned home. The customer rep assured me that a manager would call me after 4 business days and that has yet to happen. I have made 4 calls to them and my friend has written a letter to their headquarters in ************* and we still have not heard anything. We had them book our flights to make it easier on us, but this is far from the case. They assigned ** 4 seats for the flight to ********; in talking to one of their reps, he informed me that we should have chosen our seats for the Rome flight 30 days prior to leaving. We were never notified of this, otherwise we would have definitely followed through. I am leaf speechless at the way this company disregards their clients and their poor way of doing business. Im still waiting to hear from them and am looking to be compensated for missing a day and having to handle our flight arrangements coming home. Think twice before booking with Go (to hell) Tours. **************EF Go Ahead Tours

Flight disruptions and delays to tour are definitely not ideal when beginning a trip. We do follow the standard layover times for each airport and ************************ minimum is 90 minutes, hence why some itineraries allow for these shorter layover times. However, we did address the issue of missing a day on tour and refunded you appropriately. Again, we are sorry that your flight itinerary caused you additional stress, but hope that the rest of your tour experience went well.Review fromJane R

I booked a trip in 2020 with them but it was cancelled due to the pandemic. Two years went by and I received constant emails and phone calls to rebook the trip. I wasn't sure how the pandemic would be by 2021 and waited until now to rebook a trip. I was super excited to finally book a new trip to ***** for April 2023. In June 2022, I called to book the trip and set up my auto payment plan. I received an email that $0 was paid, but I get so many emails and didn't realize I guess the payment didn't go through. It's been two months and apparently my payment plan was not set up and no notice. While the amount will be the same, the per month cost went up since I lost two months of payment. I set up the payment plan now but it's so upsetting that of two months I wasn't paying and I guess I could've checked but I should be getting notified that maybe a payment didn't go through or a payment summary of $0 was paid. I'm just annoyed that now I have to pay even more money from those two months I lost.EF Go Ahead Tours

Booked a trip to ****** which I spend ***** on and I got to the airport and couldn't go because apparently I needed a ****** which I could've obtained within 24hrs) I have emails to support my claim. She asked for my travel documents and I sent her the info. Not once she said I needed a ***** I don't want my money back, I just want my trip. They have a class action lawsuit!EF Go Ahead Tours

We do take TSA information and put it in our system for each travelers so that we have a copy of it, however we clearly only advise travelers on either **** or ******** passport information regarding ****s and do say that travel documents need to be sorted individually. We do not give **** information for other passports since we are not regularly informed as to the status of other countries passports. We are sorry that this happened since it is a shame that you weren't able to join tour, but there's very little that we could've done in the moment to have resolved the **** issue.
