      Ace Rental Car **********, ** is unprofessional. Pick you up in a dirty van so you can rent a dirty car. We were told that due to early morning drop off return 6am to leave car at nearby ********* who will shuttle to airport. *** forgot to mention that there will be a $10 charge. Called Ace to address and resolve issues privately and was first left on hold for 20 minutes with no pick up. I called back left a message with no return call. Steer clear of Ace.

      CF#NWS14003132 Your reservation was booked for return at 8am which is the time that the ********** location opens. Since you did not select a time prior to the opening time that could be the reason the system did not send you the information on returning after hours. The hours of operation can also be found on the *** website as well as the third party websites. We will mention this information to the locations management team so that can refresh the agents in after hour policies as well as speak to those that are responsible for making sure the vehicles are clean Thank you for contacting us .

      I booked a vehicle through Priceline for $60 for the day however I was charged $200 instead. Sad thing the car broke down and I had to have it towed in. So I didn't get to use my $60 rental. I was not offered my money back or another vehicle. Honestly I was ignored with the employees having their conversations instead of greeting and serving the customers. This ACE brings the quality of this company down. ACE in ********** is outstanding however ********************* store needs a new staff. They only have one friendly, out going employee. If you want your business to improve she needs to be the manager (*************************).

      WOW. So, I rented a car through Priceline and specified I needed a 5 seater as I was travelling with my husband and 3 young children. When we arrived at the rental car location, we were told the only car we are entitled is a 4 seater. I do not understand how 5 people, 3 children can fit legally into a 4 seater car. Aside from being ridiculous, I was told very plainly that either I can leave without a car AND without a refund, or I can pay more than it cost initially to upgrade to a mini-van. As both options were unreasonable, and seeing as we are on a budget and this was highway robbery, we proceed to argue with the attendant. Eventually, he found a "better" rate for us on the "upgrade". Mind you, others we know who were travelling alone were automatically offered upgraded vehicles, but us with 3 children and carseats were originally given a 4 seater. It is pure theft. I urge you to seriously reconsider your rental. Yes, things can happen with any car rental agency. And yes, no specific car can usually be guaranteed. ALL we asked for was one with 5 seats. We had absolutely no preference on type, make, or anything else. The worst part of this is that we only rented a car to provide a little flexibility, we only ended up driving it twice, once from the airport and once back to the airport. Next time we'll just uber. It will be cheaper and nicer to deal with. They also didn't question us about insurance or require us to take insurance. We had through priceline.

      I declared I was traveling as part of a family of five. If the rental location isn't able to provide a vehicle that fits my party, then it should not have accepted the reservation. Not offering to refund my money, so I could potentially find another rental location that could accommodate, but rather forcing me to pay more for something I believed I was getting is theft.

      Terrible. This company needs to be prosecuted. Do not use them. They quote you a price and then try to double it when you get there, tired from traveling, to pick up your rental. They hard sell the insurance when you don't need it. If you're a fully insured motorist you don't need to buy their insurance. They use intimidation techniques and tell you that you need a 4 wheel drive because there's so much snow in the mountains. That was a big fat lie. It's just awful. They need to be stopped. A young couple that I rode back to the airport with, paid $400 more than they had expected to pay. A young couple! This was like dealing with the ******* prince who just needs you to send him $10K so he can get his inheritance! The problem with the car company is that you are trying to say no to their scam but you just want to get your car and get to where you're going. The shuttle service was awful too. I wondered if they were going to show up when I got to ******, as I watched several Enterprise shuttles go by while I waited. Same thing going back. They had a very relaxed attitude about shuttling the customer around. Oh, and it is NOT complimentary. They charged a "transfer" fee on the bill. $15. It was just an all around terrible experience. The car was dirty too! I could barely see out the windows they were so streaked, particularly hard to see when going into the sun. Don't rent from these people. They need to go out of business.

      Extremely long wait times, try to scam you out of $400. They make you sign a bunch of papers for denying their insurance. Awful business. They prey on those who dont know better to steal their money, and then buy expensive cars to draw more people in. They need to be reported and brought down.

      I would not recommend this company to anyone, they told us that the mountains were in white out conditions when we arrived. The guy at the counter laughed in our face that we rented a full size sedan and told us we would never make it showing us fake footage of the roads. So with no knowledge of the area we went with a 4 wheel drive car and spent double the price. Only to get up in the mountains and there be absolutely no snow on the roads. plus they say that there shuttle service is complementary but they in fact charge you 10 bucks each way. All in all this was a terrible experience they do not care about the customer.

      I would not recommend Ace rental cars to anyone travelling to *****, especially with the rental agency at the International Airport (i.e., MIA ********************** Center).1) The agent repeatedly said he would not allow us to rent a car without taking *** ********************************** stating that it was a requirement. A quick ****** search would show you that cars in ******* all have *************************** coverage and that *** is optional (it actually said this explicitly in the contract that we received from Ace at the end of our rental). In addition, the *** costs an additional $20/day which is the most expensive Ive seen for a rental car so far (We regularly rent cars throughout the US). When pressed, he said it was company policy and that each franchise has its own policies. The agent lied to us as the contract clearly states that *** insurance is optional.2) The agent also effectively refused to rent us a car without purchasing an all-inclusive toll package for $60. We said we had our own toll transponder and would not need to rent one, but he insisted that Ace cars had no way to work with customers toll transponders and that would lead to double charges (including fees from the rental car company for having to process these toll charges). According to him we had two options: avoid all toll roads in ***** (nearly impossible) or take his toll package. We had no choice but to take it, but once we picked up the car and checked online how it worked for other car renters, we understood that we could have used our own and that the agent misguided us again.At the end of the check in process, when we asked how they could effectively require us to add $212 on top of a $155 reservation, the agent's response was, "How do you think we make money?" This was highly unprofessional and fraudulent. We thought we had to share that experience for other customers. Dont rent from this company.

      ***********************, The terms and conditions on the *** website and the "rules and restrictions" tab on the third party websites advise the following about the Liability coverage - "At the time of pickup, the customer must present a valid drivers license, proof of insurance and must present a credit card in the renters name for the required rental deposit. Proof of FULL INSURANCE COVERAGE that will transfer to the rental vehicle must be presented at the time of pick up. Otherwise you must purchase collision coverage and supplemental liability insurance at the rental counter." Full coverage means liability and collision coverage. Toll passes are an optional item. At this location have toll passes automatically connected the each license plate on each vehicle. It cannot be removed in order for the customer to add their own. Every car ********************** company is different and that is how the toll pass works and most of the our ******* locations. If you were to have gone through a toll without the toll pass you would have had to pay for the toll fee as well as an administrative fee for each toll as well.       I rented a car from ace to visit my mother in *********. During my visit, the day before I return, we see a big storm is on the horizon and I call to see if i can extend my rental so I don't have to drive thru a storm. The manager answers the phone and quotes me $100 for one day on a car I originally rented for $40 a day. I was told to call early to keep the rate the same. He says he just punched in the change and that was the quote the software gave. I decline. My mother insists that I not drive thru the mountains during a storm so I call back and a desk attendant informs me that I was "pinged" in ********* and the rental was only valid in **************. Mind you, ***** told me at the desk. The manager didn't mention it when I called that morning either. I listen and let her know that ***** told me. She extended the rental for $60, charges my card. I drive the car back and go in to finish the return. She calls her manager about the depositusually returned in 7 days, they decide to do a "manager's hold". When I ask how long they will hold my $200, she says she doesn't know. Its not cool to hold people responsible for things you don't mention then hold their finances indefinitely . I want reasonable resolution

      Hello, In the Terms and Conditions it does state that the geographical restrictions are that the vehicle must stay within ********** and North and ************** and the **************** only and that the fee for going outside the area is a fee of $300.. The Terms and Conditions on the *** website and the "Rules and Restrictions" tab on the Priceline website does state this information. As far as the rate of extending your reservation is concerned when you confirm your reservation that rate is locked in for those dates. If you extend the reservation or modify the reservations the rates can change and you can be charged what the current rates are for the vehicle that you rented. We have replied to you via email and our ************* team is looking into your deposit hold. Once we have more information we will respond to you via email as discussed in the email. Thank you

      I wish I could give 5 negative star on this scam company. They don't even show the details and forced to sign without seeing a contract. tons of unknown fees! I can't believe this company still run the business like this

      Do not EVER rent from ACE Rental Cars!The *********** Airport ACE Rental Car company is the most unprofessional car rental company weve ever rented from for so many reasons -- We specified a ****** Rav 4 or something similar & thats what Booking.com charged us for. After waiting a long time to get our car they gave ** a Dodge Durango, a 7 person gas guzzler. There are only 2 of us and we only drive fuel efficient cars. We asked for a different car to meet our specifications and they did not have anything. They said we didnt have to take the car, but we needed a car & had no other choice. - We waited in line for 1/2 hour to meet with an agent in their shabby and bleak rental office. None of the 3 counter agents were able to talk directly to ******* were told to talk into the screen to a remote agent who was not very friendly or helpful. When he asked us if we wanted the collision and theft coverage which they require we told him we had purchased it through booking.com & he said that was a third party & if we had an accident we would have to take it up with them. Then he made us sign ***************** insurance waivers. - They dont answer their phone. We had questions before picking up the car about their insurance policies & also about dropping our car off at a different location in LA. Were unable to get answers. -Instructions for getting to the rental office were not clear on their site. The shuttle from *** to the rental depot was not the one listed & then when we finally got to the car rental depot we had to wait awhile for a very shabby van to take us to Ace. This rental car agency is as bad as they get! We were very surprised that Booking.com would use them. Do not rent from them!

      Hello, typically with any car rental company if the vehicle that you book is not available the agent will provide you a vehicle in a higher category as a free upgrade. This is what they did at ***. For insurance the location requires that you provide proof that you have your own liability and collision coverage. This information can be found in the *** Terms and Conditions as well as all third-party websites under the "Rules and Restrictions" tab. If you do not have proof of that then it is required that you purchase it at the rental counter. If you have further questions, please let us know and please provide the name on the reservation and the dates the reservation was for. Thank you.
