If I could give negative stars, I would. I rented a car from them and paid for their comprehensive insurance plans, the windshield got a small crack due to a rock on the freeway. They said their comprehensive insurance doesnt cover windshield damage even though the **************** law states that it is covered. I put in a claim with my insurance company and now Ace is coming after me for extra fees that my insurance will not cover. I work for a major airline and will make sure everyone to NEVER rent from themACE Rent A Car

Thank you for taking the time to write to us regarding your recent rental experience. The insurance that is provided by the location for comprehensive is collision and liability. We have a separate insurance that covers windshield and tire damage. While I understand the frustrations with the charges and that the insurance you purchased doesn't cover the damage, no additional charges are being charged to your account from ACE. The only charge on top of the rental was the $200 deposit that was taken to cover the cost of the glass. I hope you will allow ACE to assist you whether in ******* or one of our many other locations worldwide.

We rented a car from these crooks. I personally went around the car and took notes of damage and handed it in.We left the parking garage and I noticed a rock chip in the windshield. We got a call from some claim agency almost three weeks later. The lady at the agency is claiming that we owe them **** dollars . They claim the car will be out for three days to get a windshield. Obviously they didn't check the car before we rented it or they would have caught the windshield. If this isn't fraud I don't know what is!!! Stay away from these clowns this is how they make there money.ACE Rent A Car

When the vehicle was returned from the customer prior there were no marks on the windshield. We appreciate our customers and their feedback, the charges for the damage can be worked out through Rockport our claims agency. I hope you will allow ACE to assist you in the future.

While I do understand your frustrations with the agent throwing out the wheel, we do have signs all around that state we are not liable for left items. Please stay away from this company and especially stay away from their insurance company Rockport Auto Claims. I purchased their insurance so I would have to deal with any headaches. A vehicle swiped the rental while it was parked. Ive been harassed by ************* Claims for the last 8 months. I reported them to BBB and they backed off for a couple months but now they are back at it again. Please for your own well being stay away from both these companies.ACE Rent A Car

Only because there's no category lower than one star!This is the worst car rental experience we have ever had.1. When we arrived in *****, the rental agent insisted that we had to buy ACE's liability policy since we had no proof of our own automobile liability insurance policy. We have traveled extensively, have never had to produce proof of liability insurance before. This added $20 per day to the cost of renting the car.2. The rental agent told us that when we inspected the car, we should not record anything that was 'smaller than a credit card.' We found a couple of small scratches and a small ding in the windshield; all were much smaller than a credit card, so we didn't make a note of them.3, One tire constantly lost air, becoming dangerously deflated. When we called ACE, we were advised to 'find a tire store and buy a new tire.'4. Two days after we returned home, we got a bill from ACE for $2,000 for replacing the windshield.Between the insurance scam, the lack of response about the bad tire and the effort by ACE to hold us responsible for the ding in the windshield (although we were acting in reliance on the instructions of ***'s agent), ACE is clearly engaged in unethical business practices that *** amount to consumer fraud.NEVER RENT FROM ACE!!!ACE Rent A Car

We rented a car for our stay in *************** ** in April. Before we even got to our hotel the air pressure alert was going off and the check engine light then came on. We did not drive the car for the duration of our trip due to that. We called the Ace customer care line and were instructed to call the *************** desk. We attempted to call the *************** Ace desk multiple times during our stay but no one answered due to the flooding that was occurring, which was understandable, but when we arrived to return the car we told the man checking it in that the light had been on. He did not speak clear English and just kept saying the light was no longer on. We took photos of the light being on but customer service will not help us because "we didn't report it when we turned in the vehicle". We attempted to but he said it wasn't on and wouldn't do anything about it.ACE Rent A Car

1) TWO SHUTTLES REQUIRED and VERY SHADY OPERATION. This is NOT actually an airport rental company. While listed as an airport car rental company, you must take the general large shuttle bus to the ******** offsite rental location housing most rental companies. THEN, you must take another smaller shuttle which is an additional 8 minutes south of the airport and "***********************. When you arrive, it feels like you are being driven into a mafia kill zone at the back of a large pot-holed parking lot far away from town. 2) THIS COMPANY IS SHADY! They require a $300 deposit if you decline their insurance coverage. When I returned the car, a scratch was found that was not there when I got the car. Two volleyball sized circles were made surrounding the "damage", which was just dust that wiped right off plus the actual scratch that was half the size of a quarter. The entire $300 was retained to repair the damage. 3) The Ace Shuttle drivers were kind. 4) *********** is very quick to respond to emails and reviews. BUT, this changes nothing about the actual experience. 5) I will NEVER EVER RENT FROM ACE AGAIN, and I highly encourage all readers to avoid this company at all costs. It is not worth the risk of scam OR the extra time you must give up from your vacation to obtain the car from this far away location.ACE Rent A Car

If I could leave no stars, I would. I booked with ACE and a different company Drivo gave the contract. They added fees that were already prepaid and could not explain how they arrived at the total. They are not upfront and honest in their dealings. They misrepresent what the cost are and in a sense you are held hostage because you need the car that you have aleady paid a non refundable price for.ACE Rent A Car

Do not rent from this company. They will scam you. Read the fine print. Unlimited miles dont really mean unlimited miles!!! If you leave ** or SC they will charge you a hefty daily fee. I booked a standard SUV to be picked up at ********* location. What I got what a regular car but no discount in price. The price I was quoted was $678 but with all the hidden fees and other gimmicks it ended up being $1,600. Total miss representation and miss advertisement. I wasnt the one picking it up because I would have left without the car. The car is too small and now we are not even going to travel out of the state with it. When I called the customer service I was put into a voice mail. I called again and they were so rude. I was told I had to drive back to the physical location because they could not return the fee for out of state travel over the phone!!! Unbelievable. Basically told me to read the fine print and there is nothing else they can do!!! This company is taking advantage of people that are traveling here from abroad or dont pay attention.
