RIP OFF Over charged for extra driver then lied about it.I booked with Ace for ******* May 9 because the price a pretty good and I had used Car Rental.com before. I figured they would screen the car company.After waiting 1 1/2 hours I present my paper she extra drive is extra charge. I said it is my wife and she probably will not drive. She said Oh your wife OK I will take care of it. I said no charge she repeated no charge. Now I find they charge an additional $117.61 on top of the agreed $365.57 on my credit card.I complained to Ace and they lied saying at first I said no then said yes which is a lie.These people are scam artist.Now doing some research I see that they have many complaints for over charging.Very dishonest and liars. I would never have agreed to extra charge .I will write to every website I can find.DO NOT EVER CONSIDER ACE CAR RENTAL unless you want to be abused have terrible service and unauthorized charges appear on you credit charge. - I have used ACE rental car a number of times in recent years, mostly while on active duty (I retired last year after 31 years in the *************** For the most part, I have been impressed by *** staff -- but my experience with your rental location at *** could not have been more different. The overall impression -- not just mine, but shared by my fellow passengers unlucky enough to be at the mercy of the staff there last Friday (12 May) at around **** in the evening. It was quite simply like Lord of the Flies, with the supervisor ****** pretty much letting a couple of rogue members of his staff behave how they wished.I was called over my one of the *** staff who pointed to a series of scratches on the hood which had mysteriously appeared during the inspection. When I rubbed them with my hand they disappeared, whereupon the staff member made a point of telling me that they would take money from my card for this damage (even though there was no evidence of damage). I called the supervisor over (******) and he told me that he would take care of it -- but he charged my card anyway after I had left.One of the shuttle drivers is called ****** When I tried to get on to his shuttle, he told me that it was full even though the passengers had made a seat for me (there were actually 2 seats available). When I pointed out that there was room, he became angry and refused to drive the shuttle until I got off. There was no reason for this ***** display of power -- he caused me to miss my flight. Again, ****** watched the whole thing, and when I asked him to weigh in, he declined and told me that there would be another shuttle (it arrived about 30 minutes later, by which time it was too late)This is probably the worst experience that I have had with any business in ***************** - it's hard to describe the feral, almost threatening atmosphere at this rental location. Overall a dreadful experience that left me feeling angry and upset for several days.ACE Rent A Car

Ace Rent a car boasted great prices. Just $19 dollars a day. When we went to pick up our car, we dealt with a guy who checked ** out through FaceTime. It was very hard to understand him through the screen. We were not toosure what we had agreed to by the time we finished. Next they told ** they were pulling out a deposit out of our card. That deposit racked up to a whopping $700 on top of the $241 we had already paid. We left the parking lot with the car and promptly returned the car a week later. After we received our receipt we spent close to $600 instead of our $241 total. I am highly dissatisfied with this company and I would not recommend it to anyone.ACE Rent A Car

I payed for a midsize SUV but was given a subcompact. It was filthy with zero miles to empty in the tank. Horrible, rip off car rental company. Stay awayACE Rent A Car

While we do understand the frustrations with receiving a vehicle that is smaller than expected for the class reserved, we follow a specific listing to be sure and place the vehicle in the proper class. Regarding the fuel, while we do work towards providing the vehicle in perfect condition fuel is provided at the level it was returned to ** from the previous renter and it is like for like upon return. I do hope you will allow ACE to assist you again in the future.

Renters Beware. Do not rent from Ace renta Car, especially from ****** Airport area. We reserved a Elite SUV *** X1 or similar and received a 2016 ********** Outlander with 65k miles that was due for service. Damage all around, hood was not latched (we discovered it while driving) vehicle smelled like smoke and death. Zero technology, cloth manual seats... looked like it was in an accident from the damage over the wheel well. I contacted ACE CS prior to the rental, they responded with " Our vehicles are no more than 2 years old and no more than ****** miles.". Well Ace.... you mislead me and basically lied. I would never recommend nor use Ace renta car again. I feel completely ripped off with the money we paid for this sub standard SUV.ACE Rent A Car

We rented an SUV from ***** airport. The customer service rep barely spoke any English or pretended not to. We declined their insurance as we had our own and also declined the sunpass as we had our own with **. We were told to to sign here, here and here declining the insurance and sunpass. We did not look at the paperwork until we got home and saw the charge and saw that he had ** sign that we wanted the sunpass. We called right away only to be told we agreed to the pass so we have to pay for it. We argued the fact that it wasnt used and wasnt used but to no avail. Very dissatisfied with their lack of customer service. It wasnt so much the ***** as it was the fact that they wouldnt even listen to what we had to say. Ace Rent a Car has predatory pricing practices and horrible customer service. I emailed with a representative (****) about their Collision Damage Coverage costs not being available anywhere on their website. She refused to pass my concerns along to management. When I called customer service, they transferred me to her intentionally and she hung up on me.ACE Rent A Car

Unsafe, damage tire, not willing to refund money spent on a tire for their car! Major liability issues. Avoid at all cost! I was told "you changed the tire before the car was to be serviced?! Who says such a thing? So you want us to use a unsafe tire to drive hundreds of miles? *** tire had multiple damages that occurred prior to our use. No refund provided. Avoid this scam of a rental, dont put your family in the hands of this awful car rental company!ACE Rent A Car

While I do understand your frustration with the charge for the tire replacement, once the vehicle is driven off our lot the tire and windshield become the customers liability. It's been over a month we haven't received our 200$ "security deposit "We called left messages and they won't give us the hold back on the car we rented. We followed all the rules, returned it on time etc. The ace rent a car in ********** ** are lazy and aunprofessional! We had dead mice in the car so they clearly did NOT even clean the car. It was right under the seats we took pictures. I feel like they take advantage of people we booked a car for 6 days and they gave us the economy box tiny car for almost 900$ So why hold peoples security deposits and rip people off giving them filthy cars for the highest 80$ daily rate??? Horrible way to treat your customers. The guy that served us also told my husband straight forwardly..NO to any other type of vehicle because he didnt feel like and was TOO Lazy to be cleaning the ones we were inquiring about....didnt want to give us a bigger car/truck because he was DO NOT rent cars from ACE. They also have b.s charges that pop up later on after returning..Really $900 for less than a week to be treated like that.NEVER Again. They have until Monday to give us our 200$ HOLD back or am taking further action and contacting police etc I don't play with our hard earned money, it's not fair they haven't even called us to tell us anything.There just straight up keeping people's money.ZERO starsACE Rent A Car
