I bought Insurance through the online service we use for the reservation, according to their rep at the store that was NO good so we were advised to cancel and FORCED to buy their insurance, we ask him to check with our OWN INSURANCE that covers all of our cars but he said that was NO good either, he didnt even bother in checking he just said no and forced us to buy theirs. We really had NO alternative at the time as we had waited a lot of time already so we ************ as we didnt have time to look for another company my husband called our INs provider which is Progressive and they said that our rental would be protected as long as our rental was for less than 30 days, we call the store to let them know this (within 3 hrs from taking over the car) but the lady who answered the phone said to for her to go back to the store (she was 2.5 hrs away from LA) and resign a contract, that was imposible at the time as this was NOt our fault, your rep decided to NOT follow up your guidelines, we asked for a supervisor but rudely were transferred to a VM where one was left and no one ever called us back !!ACE Rent A Car

We reserved a vehicle online and when we got there Andaysia informed us the vehicle was no longer available and the available vehicle would be an upgrade and would cost more. We then asked to add an additional driver and she added it yet failed to tell us it was an additional $150.00. Never have I had to pay for an additional driver. She then went on to pressure us to add their liability insurance I declined it as I have full coverage insurance on our vehicles and have loss of use insurance on our policy. She was rude from the start but was rude on another level when I declined the coverage. She is a poor representation of this company however, from the looks of all of these negative reviews this companies standards are low therefore they hire unprofessional individuals like her. I highly discourage anyone from renting a vehicle from this company.ACE Rent A Car

I gave them 2 stars for the car it was a nice Dodge Durango. The agent asked for my driver's license, telephone number and flight number/ airlines. He then told me I needed to buy the mandatory renters liability waiver after I declined the other insurance. I told him my ******************* Preferred credit card covers as primary and he said "no" it does not. He continued in saying that ********* is a "no fault" state and that I will not be allowed to rent the car without the insurance. He never asked for my own car insurance policy and I had never thought of that as well as I always rent a car when I travel and this is the first time I encountered this situation. I ended up getting charge with $21.95/ day. On my receipt, I later found out while waiting for my flight back home that the Renter Liability Waiver is Optional. I have seen that this does not only happen to me. A lot of customers also experience this kind of issues. The fix is just to have their agent ask for customer's proof of insurance once customer declines additional insurance. We reserved a car and pre-paid the insurance ahead of time to find that there were no cars. This left us in a panic as our travel plans relied on us having a car. We ended up finding something somewhere else last minute but ended up paying a lot more than we budgeted for the car. We also missed our evening plans because of how late we left the airport. Lastly, the person who I spoke to in the office acted like it wasnt a big deal because we could get a refund for the portion that we paid. She acted like this happens all the time. It happened to someone else who was about to board the shuttle to pick up their car as well so this wouldnt shock me. Why does ACE think this is okay? People invest a lot into their travel and something like this can ruin a whole trip. This is unacceptable business.ACE Rent A Car

Wish I did my research before booking here. Two days into our trip, while driving on a highway the car shuts off and an error comes on saying Malfunction was able to pull over to a safe place and call ACE. To then be told since we didnt take their insurance we would have to tow the car back ourselves for an exchange and will get reimbursed. Dealt with *****, who was very unprofessional and unhelpful. Stated that shes closing up at 8pm and if we dont get there before then we would have to wait till the next morning. She was not willing to wait a few minutes after 8pm! We decided to just wait it out till the next morning to tow the car which we then was helped by ****** who in deed was helpful. As for the reimbursement, the manager *********** told us thats not happening! Stay safe and away from this company, pay the extra bucks and book with a higher rated company.ACE Rent A Car

Ace Car rental in ******* is probably some of the worst scamming people. I had originally booked a car for 16$ a day and then I found that they have a special going for 15$ a day so I booked it again. So instead of giving me a car for the down grade I booked they said I upgraded and then didnt tell me how much it cost for the car seat. And on top of that . I declined the insurance and they told me ok . Then they told me I that the deposit is 300$ and had me sign the agreement. They never took the deposit only took 268. Which I thought was the deposit. They ussually dont charge you until you bring the car back . But they charged that right when I picked up . This is the worst car rental place I have ever been and they dont do anything to resolve their mistakes. I highly recommend going to another company to rent your next vacation car. We dont need to come home to charges we didnt approve of and come back more stressed then we left. - ******ACE Rent A Car

In regards to the upgrade charge, this was applied due to you declining the truck that was offered as you reserved a dealer's choice. Reviewing your account I see that you accepted on your rental agreement the toll pass and liability insurance along with the child seat. Per our terms and conditions, there is a security deposit and this is charged at the beginning of the rental along with the cost for the rental itself. AVOID THIS UNETHICAL COMPANY AU ALL COSTS!Bait and switch operation. Booked a fully prepaid car rental through ******** with Ace and they switched me to Drivo and processed to say that not only was my rental only partially paid but they also refused to take the primary insurance coverage that my credit card provides. Instead they charged me almost as much as I paid upfront for my rental, which was very clearly marked as the full amount.On top of that the agent was very rude - rolling his eyes at me and refusing to show me a copy of the rental agreement contract before I would sign blindly. I had to withhold my credit card and then he miraculously was able to produce a printed copy for me to look over before signing despite telling me multiple times that he did not have the ability to print an unsigned contract.ACE Rent A Car
