      A complete scam. We reserved a car with Ace Rental A Car at ********************* Airport. First, they said the shuttle bus with pick up us in **** minutes. It took 25 minutes!!! The worse part is that they wanted us to show we have rental car insurance. I called my insurance company. The insurance company told me that is only for providing a rental car when we get an accident. For car rental, our insurance can be transferred to cover the rental car. When I realized that and talked to Aces agent, they completely changed the story. This time, they asked me to show the proof that my current auto insurance can be transferred to cover the rental car. I have never seen anyone like that!!!

      Terrible service in ********* ** and ********** ** they do not honor your reservation and try to keep your money regardless of what they give you 2x couples and myself were told that the Cars we requested were not available regardless of our methods of payment I do not recommend to anyone with other choices

      Rude, unhelpful staff that were just languishing round while the line kept multiplying. Weird unclear policy that seems dependant on the person helping you. My insurance policy had to show each amount of charge per renters insurance and what the payout amount for them to take my insurance all the while pushing their own basic and advanced insurance. Go someplace else, I know I will next time.

Regarding the insurance information, the declaration page is required as it does show all this information as well as the proof that personal insurance covers a rental.       I am completely and utterly disappointed with this companys policy on not accepting debit cards for the actual purchase but you accept them for the initial reservation which makes no sense to me. If they are not accepted then they shouldnt even be accepted in the initial reservation period. When people are trying to use your service through a third party company its hard to tell if your policy is truly understood meaning its misleading after the purchase. I used my works so called discount company ***************** and it turns out its more than other options and because my debit card was accepted at the initial reservation point which should have been rejected Im out of my money. No refunds at all. Ace Rentals are misleading and thieves. So now Im out of my hard earned money and no car rental.

      Prepaid reservations through a third party can be purchased with any card type however per our terms and conditions it does list what card type are accepted by the location you are renting from prior to creating the reservation. While I understand the frustration with not being able to rent, any refunds for this booking would need to come from *****************. I hope you will allow ACE to assist you again in the future.

      *** gave us a second-market car key (we didn't realize it until much later). The ******* stopped responding to the key 70 miles away. We called ACE, but the only thing they could offer us was to tow it back to the rental place, but they couldn't because we hadn't bought THAT kind of insurance from them. Of course, we have AAA, so we called them, but we were shocked how according to ACE, towing the car was perfectly normal rather than giving a renter proper equipment to ensure a smooth trip. The AAA technician didn't realize it was the lemon key, although he told us that something about the car was very odd. He got us started, but we had to abandon our travel plans and go straight to our lodging to avoid getting stuck again. Next morning (the day of departure) we called AAA again. The new technician figured out it was the key. He fixed the connection and we were able to drive to the airport. We were robbed of half of our precious trip because of ACE. When we confronted them, they did not take responsibility for this and said that roadside assistance is something normal. ACE doesnt care about their customers. Never again using ACE and warning anyone we can about them.

The location does offer roadside assistance in the case that the vehicle needs any maintenance while you are renting, if this is not purchased it is up to the customer to have their insurance or roadside come and help. I do understand the frustration with the key not connecting and this will be addressed to ensure maintenance is being handled properly. I hope you will allow ACE to assist you again in the future.

      They did not properly disclose a service charge of $40 a day for a loss damage waiver. I stated that I have insurance to waive coverage. After I got the bill, I contacted customer service and they stated I needed to show Proof of Insurance at the time of the contract. This would have been easy if they told me to do so.

      I rented a vehicle in ********* Jan ***** **** during the negative degrees weather. The vehicle was a van and on the second day one of the sliding doors got stuck in the open position I tried to get it closed for about 10 min then decided to call ace because it was absolutely freezing and I didnt want to try anymore. *** demanded that I had to drive the vehicle back to them. I explained to them that the door was stuck open and I have children and refuse to drive with them in the back of a vehicle with the door stuck open and especially with it being at least -20 degrees. *** did not seem to care about my or my childrens safety because they again demanded that I drive the car back to them. After telling them that I was not going to drive the vehicle back and I was going to figure out how to get the door closed, ace threatened that if I were to break it they were going to keep my deposit. I explained the door is already broke and it broke on its own. *** again demanded I drive the vehicle back to them. I hung up. *** did not offer me a new vehicle or offer a solution to the problem all they did was demand that I drive the vehicle back to them. On the very last day of having the car someone from ace called me and asked again if I was bringing the car back. NO DISCOUNT, NO SORRY, NO REPLACEMENT VEHICLE, JUST THREATS TO KEEP MY DEPOSIT AND DEMANDS.
