      The agents were easy to work with. The claim was handled quickly and fairly. I felt valued as a customer. I had heard of a friend's experience with a different company. that company was not user friendly, but I found Home Warranty of the Midwest to be considerate and uncomplicated.

      Poor communication. Poor ethics and morals. Poor customer service. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!Would give no stars if there was an option. I sent in 2 claims for my plumbing and my HVAC. They sent me 2 contractor recommendations. I contractor was no even located in my area. The other never answered the phone. Warranty company said I can get my own contractor so I did. I had a plumber come out and he was nice enough to get on the phone with warranty company to give them the diagnosis and cost for repairs. Warranty company said they needed pictures, but I had already sent in pictures when I started the claim so thats what I told them. Anyways, I was going to have him start on the work and just have him bill me and have warranty company reimburse. Warranty company said they need prior authorization before the plumber can start or the claim will be denied. Uuummmmno. Hes out here and ** going to have him get started so I dont have to pay extra for him making another trip. So after I throw a fit over the phone, the ** of the warranty company (*** or ***) called me and asked when the issue had started. I told him that I had already told the original claim person that I talked to that I didnt know. He said that because I didnt have an exact date that it would be denied. So after they originally told me that they may be able to cover some of the costs, this guy is telling me that it wont be. After I found out the plumbing wouldnt be covered I asked the ** what the proper process was going to be for HVAC. He again asked when the issue happened even though I had already discussed this with the original agent. I told him I moved out of the house mid January. This man goes all the way to look up the listing of my house to find when it was listed (which it was listed at the end of Nov) and tells me that the house looks empty in the listing pictures. Literally all of my furniture is in the house in the listing. Long story short, they are tricky and manipulative.

      Upon further review of your claims during the claims filing process you were unable to provide an answer on when the units failed. Our warranty states that All covered systems and appliances must be in normal operating condition at the time coverage takes effect. You also stated you moved out of the house in December and the claim was filed after you have moved out of the house.

      I switched from American Home Shield to Home Warranty, *** this year and am already much more pleased. Our hot water heater broke and getting it replaced went smoothly from start to finish. I was able to get the claim number right away after I called a representative. I love that we get to choose the company and technician ourselves. I feel like with other home warranty companies that use their own technicians, they only want to do the bare minimum. Since we get to choose our own, the technicians have no allegiance to the company, which I feel like ensures better and more honest work on their part. Getting the reimbursement from the company was also a very simple process with no surprises. I appreciated that I was easily able to get in contact with representatives that were knowledgeable and helpful. I am very pleased with Home Warranty ***.

      I was very pleased with the response and service of Home Warranty. Thank you. They suggested a good company for my heat exchange problem and the guys did great work and fast. I would recommend this company and their warranty plan 100%

      This was our first experience working with warranty on a claim. All representatives I spoke to were helpful and efficient. We are waiting on our reimbursement because no one locally works with warranty. Overall, very satisfied.

      I appreciated the friendliness of the staff person I worked with. She explained the process step-by-step and due to my hearing loss, she was willing to speak with the plumber. The reimbursement for the water heater came very quickly. In highly recommend them.
