  All is well that ends well. I recently ordered an HO scale 4-6-2 model from Trainz. Unfortunately upon arrival, it didn't work properly (no reverse). Figuring it needed new parts as well as trouble shooting, I arranged a return. Although the model was well packed, it arrived back in Georgia severely damaged. At that point Trainz gave me a full refund. As luck would have it, they had a very similar model in their inventory and I ordered it. The replacement looks good and runs properly so all is well that ends well. I wouldn't hesitate ordering from Trainz again.

  I had ****** item 6-38379 on my wish list for over 6 months. I received an e-mail stating it was in.I login in to my account and yes there is a picture of the Santa Fe *lack *onnet * Unit 6-38379 I have been waiting for at a cost of $500.00. So I use some points I have accumulated and purchase the * Unit. When I received the package I did not open it for several days. When I did open the box I was surprised to find it was a single Santa Fe *lack *onnet powered A Unit 6-38365, this is surprising because the A Unit was sold as A-A Units and the * Unit was extra. It is difficult to understand how a company selling model trains can make this mistake? I have asked to be contacted and tried calling, but still no response?This large mistake falls on the heels of my last purchase, where Trainz.com advertised a Lionel ******* **** Satellite Launching Car intact. You rated this car as good with ******************* and scratches. When this car arrived, the satellite dish was broken off and laying under the frame of the car. There was so much packing paper in the factory box it was difficult to get the car and satellite out. We were able to arrive at a compromise. **************** is not what I expected when you are spending $300.00 to over $500.00 per order.

  They very accurately rate and describe their offerings. The web site is very easy to use to find what you are looking for. Prices are very fair. Communications about orders is well done. Shipping is done quickly. I would never hesitate to purchase from Trainz!

  With the pandemic and air quality concerns, not to mention my old knees, I miss going to train "shows". I found the used selection at TRAINZ an excellent alternative allowing me to fill my eclectic collection from the comfort of my desktop. I justify the shipping costs as saving me time and gas I would have spent to go to the show. With no guarantee I would find what I wanted, I would end up just buying stuff. I have been very pleased with the condition and price of all my purchases.*****

  Purchased an item that was misrepresented on advertising. They tried to place the blame on **** stating they could only refund the purchase, not correcting the item as advertised. It took nearly 2 weeks to get the correct "advertised item and price adjustment", (used versus new) due to the worthless customer service staff using cut and paste answers via email. I had to send/receive 3-5 emails each day for nearly 2 weeks dealing with different staff each time trying to get a resolution. Furthermore, those CSA staff inaccurately claimed that their **** ads state no combined shipping.. That is clearly false. They are just trying to collect additional shipping charges. The test of a successful business is how they respond when something goes wrong. Trainz clearly failed in this area. There should have been no delay in correcting their misrepresented product. Mistakes happen. Its how you clean them up or cover them up that makes the difference. Trainz attempted to cover up and deflect the lack of correction onto ****'s site.

  Trainz may well be a good source establishment for model RR materiel, but - since they don't carry/offer/promote O-Scale 2 Rail modeling, there is NO reason for me to peruse their web-site.
