    E-File sent me advertisements claiming they could find me tax credits and breaks, etc, get me the most back, and so on. I checked it out and sure enough they told me I'd be getting more than double the amount Turbo Tax (who I usually use). A little ***** about such good news I put it off to think about and they kept sending me emails encouraging me to file with them before deadline and even offered a discount, so I finally went with them. WRONG DECISION!! I've been on the phone with them for a total of 4 hours and they even finally admitted fault after blaming everyone else including myself and having me call the *** and, Green **** which have nothing to do with E-File's faulty software, but still yet denied a refund simply cuz the "system will not generate a refund because the software was used!!" UNBE**EVABLE! So then I asked for a supervisor that maybe could override the system and she told me because of the heavy volume of calls during this time, I could not speak to a supervisor and suggested that I go ON ** NE and hung up!

    We reached out in an attempt to get more information from you on this, but have not yet heard back. As for the advertising claims you mentioned, we make no claims to find double the tax credits, perhaps what you remember seeing is a comparison to other tax software providers where we charged half as much as they do. Now, I had the call transcripts and a record of the wait time pulled so I could look into this further. It looks like you did call during a peak period very close to the filing deadline. Our records show that you waited approximately 50 minutes to be connected with a live agent, I apologize for this. Our typical wait times are far less than this, we also offer email support and this sometimes has a faster response time. It appears that your call with our support specialist lasted 37 minutes, making your total on phone time closer to 1.5hrs not the 4hrs that you mentioned. With that said, I do agree that this was a considerable amount of time and I apologize for this. Based on the phone interaction in the transcript, it sounds like you ended the call, not our support specialists, they did not "hang up". As for your refund, the *** adjusted your refund because you manually entered W-2 withholding and federal estimated payments for the same amount. In other words, you duplicated your withholding and the federal refund on your tax return was inflated. Based on the interaction from the transcripts and your post here, it sounds like you believe we should reimburse you for the difference that was a result of you entering your information incorrectly. The estimated payments page inside our program (where you doubled your withholding and thus inflated your claimed tax refund) says to "include only estimated payments and not withholdings". Please understand, we do not have access to your W2s or what you may have paid in estimated payments throughout the year, the only information we have is what you manually enter into our software, so if you double the amounts we have no way of knowing this. The tax return that you prepared was transmitted and was accurate based on the information you entered. The *** identified that some of the information entered was incorrect and adjusted your refund amount accordingly. I am sorry for the confusion with this.

    It sounds like you may be using the IRS.gov website (here - https://www.irs.gov/refunds) and it is not recognizing what you are entering.
