      Excellent company to hire to move your house furniture!! They insured all of our furniture was packed with their expertise so nothing would be damaged. Would recommend them to anyone moving their household goods from state to state.

      Colonial completed a relo move fir my 80 year old mother who was recently undergoing cancer treatment. The written and guaranteed estimate was given to me at roughly $4800. However, the sub contractors they hired, then charged us $8200. No weight was ever provided before the move which is a DoT violation. No explanation provided either. When I argued it with then, they said they'd five a $600 refund. Then they ghosted me. Deceptive and fraudulent practices by Colonial. A complaint has been filed with the ***. Now my attorney will contact them directly.

      We hired ************************************************* to relocate our household out of state, a total of 815miles. They gave us a competitive quote and then offered to lock in the price to gain our business. After I paid a 40% of the estimate as a down payment to hold our agreement, the communication was terrible and our account manager was impossible to reach. Colonial subcontracted out our move to another company who showed up with a truck that was too small for our household. We were then told we had to choose what was going to get transported and Colonial would help figure out the remaining items. After we received a partial load of our stuff, Colonial tried to charge us additional fees over the "locked" price they promoted at the time of the quotation. Then they decided that they were not going to transport the remainder of our belongings, even though I provided photographic evidence that some of the items on their "Binding" agreement was still at our old house, which we are in the process of selling. Colonial wants to argue the definition of items like what a "patio table" is and refuse to explain why we only received pieces of our furniture. For instance, we received our dining room table but the extension leaves were left behind. Every time I speak to a customer care representative, they deflect all responsibility to the left behind items to their subcontractor and/or us. They promised us a resolution during the move but once we received our partial shipment, they have told us we have to start over and set up a new contract for the remainder of our belongings which will be at an additional cost to us. This has been a frustrating experience and we have no other option but to find another way to get our remaining items as we are in a time constraint with trying to sell our other house.

      ************************************************* and Quality Relocation **** A Nightmare Move Hired ************************************************* for a move from ******* ** to ************* (June 2024). Big mistake.Delivery delays: Subcontractor, Quality Relocation ***** held our belongings hostage for a week in ********, forcing us into hotels. It was the last day of the promised delivery window, but unacceptable nonetheless.Missing box: Upon delivery, several boxes belonged to someone else! The truck driver took them back nonchalantly, as if this were standard practice. Even worse, upon his departure, we discovered a box of ours missing. I called him on his phone, and he told me that he had accidently delivered our box to someone in ******** and promised me to bring it back to us by 06/10/2024. After that conversation, he went into complete silence.Colonial offered no help: Contacted *************************************************'s account manager who relayed Quality Relocation's claim that all boxes were delivered a blatant lie. Their solution? A measly 60 cents per pound claim form for the missing box worth over $1,000 (essentially, $3 payout for a $200 winter jacket)!Unresponsive and Uncaring: Colonial hid behind legalese and wouldn't hold their subcontractors accountable. Move coordinator vanished after the sale and never bothered to return my two voicemails I left for her.The Verdict: This experience goes beyond money. It's about a company unconcerned with customer well-being. ************************************************* subcontracts to incompetent companies like Quality Relocation **** then washes their hands of responsibility. They prioritize legalities over resolving customer issues. This is the worst ********************** experience I've ever had. ************************************************* left us stranded, financially burdened, and emotionally distressed. Don't trust them with your precious belongings. They won't take responsibility for their subcontractors' actions, and once they have your money, good luck getting any help.

      Update (as of 8/18/2024)I'm pleased to report that, after significant effort from the Resolution Manager at ************************************************** *****, and the owners of Quality Relocation, ****** and ******, the missing box was finally located in one of Quality Relocation's warehouses. It was delivered on 8/6 by the same driver who had initially mishandled it.In light of this resolution, I am raising my rating from 1 to 5 stars solely to reflect the dedication and hard work of ************************************************** ********************** I just wish that their Sales and **************************** had demonstrated the same level of empathy, promptness, and responsiveness, in which case this entire issue, and the accompanying distress, could have been easily avoided.*********************

      The team was helpful and available for my questions through out the moving process. The quote was accurate and there were no surprise costs at the end of the move. They even gave me recommendations on ways to save money. I was able to update my inventory when I decided to move fewer items than I originally planned to move a couple of days before my move. I used the packing services, for me it was worth it and the packing job was professional and careful. The moving team was friendly and professional as well. Just keep in mind they do not pack chemicals so you will have to pack and transport your own cleaning supplies.

      Do not hire this moving company for any scheduled move. We made the mistake of hiring them for a move from ** to **. It was NOT a good decision. It was difficult to get a firm pickup day from them and we had to vacate out house by 3-24-24. they came to our residence to load and already had a partial truckload so they could not fit all our possessions on the truck. They left for a few hours to unload our possessions and then came back to load the remainder. We were very displeased not knowing where our when our delivery in IL would be. They gave us a two-week window and they actually delivered the last day of the contract. We had no idea if our load was even going to make it to IL because no one at Colonial could give us any information on where our load was and how many times it had been loaded and unloaded. After unloading I noted that my dining room set had numerous scratches and gouges in the wood (no damage before Colonial got their hands on any of my furniture). They offered me $46.00 as compensation (totally unacceptable)!. Beacon moved our furniture to ** eleven years ago with absolutely NO damage and in a timely manner. Never use Colonial for any move. Totally unreliable!!

      I used ************************************************* for my move because I believed them when they said that they are NOT a broker and to look on the *** website. They completely and utterly lied to me because they are a broker and contract out the work without telling the customer. Also, I put a claim in for a $400 stand mixer and they approved my claim for $18.60. DO NOT USE THEM AS A MOVER. We ended up with damage to our property, paid over $3000 more than what was quoted, and they just want me to keep talking to managers. It's ridiculous!
