Buckle up for this review because its a mess of a move for us. I want to preface this by stating that we have had 4 full service moves since 2014, a combination of military and corporate moves. Two of those moves were across country and we used storage on those occasions. Needless to say we are experienced movers. We chose ************************************************* because of their reputation for cross country moves, they contracted with Alliance. The one star I gave for this review was based off of our original movers/ packers. They were prompt, polite, they seemed to do a good job packing our items and attentively wrapped our furniture. Our house was packed, loaded and headed to storage the end of June. We sold our home (on the west coast) and would not be able to have occupancy of our new home (in the Midwest) until August 20th. Our first delivery was August *****th, we had little communication and were confused about where our things were. We were finally told on the 26th that the truck broke down and we were rescheduled for a delivery September 5-9th. It is now September 10th, we do not have our things. Our new window is September *****rd which is almost an entire month after our original delivery date. Our account manager called today with no new updates. We asked if we could just get our things out of storage and drive it ourselves, she informed us that it would have to go through upper management. This has been an incredibly stressful time for our family, we have two young elementary school aged children and two small dogs. We did not plan to be in transition for this long with out all of our household goods. Colonial continues to say that we will be compensated for our delay, but that does not solve our current very stressful situation. I wish they had been transparent and upfront with the driver issues and shortages that they obviously have had so that we could have made

If I could give them zero stars I would. They are scammers, unresponsive, unprofessional and worst moving brokerage. Yes, I said brokeragethey do not send a ************************************************* truck, they send a third party. We called because of the positive reviews online. They said they did quotes over the phone and would call one week out to solidify the quote. They lead you to underestimate your boxes so they can over charge later. We had to call them one week out as they never called. We added furniture pieces and boxes yet they even tried to talk us out of adding boxes, then charged us more for the deposit. The truck was to arrive Sunday or Monday and didnt arrive until Tuesday at 10am then we found out they didnt add the items we called to add and we were 100 boxes over the estimate. We talked to customer relations that day and they assured us the rate would not be higher at the end. We even signed saying so. The movers left at 4 pm Tuesday and we barely made our drive across country to make it to our closing. We had to pay for extra hotels and lost out on other bookings, due to their delay (which we learned later Colonial knew about a day or so prior but never bothered to tell us in advance, in fact the day they were late we had to call them for hours before getting a live person who said they would try to get a truck there the next day). So then we were scheduled for the truck to arrive at our new home on Sunday between 1-6.they showed up at 7pm and we spent over an hour trying to resolve the $5k OVER our estimate YES I SAID &5K OVER (remember they kept trying to underestimate). Then they were holding our stuff hostage in our driveway until we were forced to pay. We fed the movers twice that night and gave them lots of bottled water since they hadnt eaten all day. It took my husband and I helping them (of which my husband was injured and I hurt my back) to wrap up just before midnight. Since it was a Sunday no one at CVs customer service was working so we had to call

Negative stars! Our belongings are currently being held hostage at an undisclosed location 20 days after our delivery date window. Every person we speak to has absolutely no information or they just lie to us. We've been told our things would be delivered on 3 different dates and then they tell us they don't have a truck. A completely corrupt business! Everyone who works there should be ashamed of themselves for treating people's lives like trash. I'm contacting the media and a lawyer. I've also filed a complaint with the ******
