      Our daughter booked a cross country move from *************, Ca. to ********,** through ************************************. She was given a coordinator, ******, to help with this move. All went well with the pick up of her furniture in *******************, Ca but went downhill after. She was given multiple dates for the arrival and each time nothing was completed. The complex was very specific about what they needed prior to any delivery. They need a certificate of insurance (COI) and 24 hour notice of delivery window. The drivers showed unannounced twice once to the wrong address, just next door to the complex and then again unannounced and left with no notification to our daughter. My husband and I made a trip from *************, driving back to ** to assist with the moving in process on the first given date of May 8, 2025. 3 different dates were given, 05/08/25, 05/12/25 and 05/19/25. No delivers and when speaking with Colonical cordinator if was useless. I spoke the contracted van line service, POSH moving and and their coordinator, Bets was rude and unwilling to correct their error in delivery dates. Worst customer service ever. Finally on 05/22/25 our daughter's furniture was delivered but still the *** was incorrect according to the property manager and a phone call needed to be made to get this corrected so the move could occur. We gave Colonial and POSH clear instructions on what was needed and still they dragged their feet and didn't comply with the arrangements needed for the delivery. Our guess is if you are using any van line service for cross county out of state moves be advised that they become a broker of services, not the service you thought. I guess within state you get the van line service you paid for.Would not recommend for any out of state moves.

      DO NOT USE this company. Colonial has a ***** pound minimum weight . When our items were inventories (over the phone) representative assured us we were much under the weight. We were not and charged additional fees. Colonial does not do the move. They hire independent movers who are careless. Our furniture arrived broken and boxes smashed. We were also given items that were not ours. Movers asked for tip before leaving. You are passed along to several members in the company and emails are not answered in a timely manner.

      Moving across country is no easy process, but my account manager helped me a lot. My driver and the help were so great! When they came here they were so helpful and careful with my items. They were friendly and put my furniture together so nicely. The cost was a bit more than was estimated but all in all, this was a great experience and I would recommend them.

      Colonial provided an accurate moving estimate up front. There were no surprise cost increases or fees. They fluently rescheduled my move upon request. Also, the movers were careful, polite, and prompt. It was a very good moving experience.

      The movers were very professional and courteous. They informed me of every step and updates with time of pick up *** delivery. They had my move there on time and worked diligently to get things unpacked and set up. They packed and unpacked all of my things and I would definitely recommend and use again

      Buyer beware. They gave me a low ball estimate, and on moving day, their estimate was off by almost $2,000.
