I bought a wireless phone service which is prepaid monthly and allocates unlimited calls and texts and a monthly data allocation of 4 gb. The service was activated and put into use in August 2022. The service was working fine until recently and numerous attempts to get the service provider to fix the problem were not successful. Below are the details of the problem.
1. Starting at end of April 2023, and again on 5/23/2023, data service was throttled down to become unusable. At both times, data usage was 2gb out of 4gb allocated. I contacted the company, at first thinking that this was just a technical issue. Together with customer support, we verified that there was no damage to the phone, calls and texts are still working, and various troubleshooting efforts did not fix the problem. I even escalated the call to a manager and asked as to why our data service was being throttled when our data usage is just 2gb out of 4gb allocated. The manager replied that there is nothing that they could do and blamed it on network congestion. I understand that network congestion can sometimes happen but for 6 continuous and consecutive days ? this is unreal and bogus. I was also able to demonstrate that network congestion is not the case by swapping another household T-Mobile (same network as this provider) sim card to my phone and all is working fine.
3. I will disconnect this provider service and move on to another. However, the main point of this complaint is to highlight the fact that this provider is a scam to possibly trying to upsell the customer for more data services by practicing these malicious activities and render the customer hostage to their acts. I feel enraged when such atrocities can just be indifferently carried out without any concern for the service interruption to the customer, nor any concern for the time wasted or any inconvenience suffered by the customer when trying to figure out what went wrong.

I am a costumer of Hello Mobile. Yesterday my world came crashing down on me, In the morning i lost my landline, i realized that my landline number was ported out. Later in the day, i realized that someone is tempering with my credit card. I immediately took care of it and secured it. Later in the evening my Hello Mobile cell phone stopped working, i reach out to the company and i realize the scammer ported out my number to his phone. I informed the company of what it is happening in my life. Its almost 24 hours and my land line and my credit cards are all intact, besides my Hello Mobile number that was stollen from me, and i still have no services. It is a criminal offense, that Hello mobile released my number without thorough verification. I am so ****** off.Hello Mobile Telecom LLC

Beware of HelloMobile's "Unlimited" Plan Not as Advertised! Rating: ????? 0/5 In the present era, where internet connectivity has become an integral part of our daily lives, we rely heavily on our mobile data plans. We expect our service providers to offer ** what they promise, but regrettably, my experience with HelloMobile fell short of my expectations. I am writing this review to share my disappointing experience with their "unlimited" data plan, which turned out to be misleading.When I signed up for HelloMobile's unlimited data plan, I was under the impression that I would be able to enjoy high-speed internet without any constraints. However, I quickly discovered that this was not the case. After using only 5GB of data, the speed of my internet connection drastically plummeted. The reduction was so significant that it became almost impossible to perform regular online activities like browsing, streaming videos, or using any data-intensive applications.HelloMobile's marketing around the "unlimited" data plan is very deceptive. Their definition of "unlimited" is far from the common understanding. The significant speed throttling after reaching 5GB makes the plan virtually limited. Unlimited plans should ideally offer consistent data speeds, or at least provide a much higher threshold before any speed reduction occurs.This data cap was not prominently mentioned when I signed up, and finding this information in the fine print later was a frustrating revelation. As a customer, I felt misled. This practice is not only frustrating for customers but also hampers the overall trustworthiness and reliability of the service provider.In a time where transparency is highly valued, HelloMobile's unclear data policies represent a serious misstep. I would urge potential customers to carefully review the terms and conditions of their unlimited plans, and perhaps consider other providers who offer a more honest and upfront interpretation of "unlimited."Hello Mobile Telecom LLC

I had one line with hello mobile for my ipad for over a year now. No issues! Then I stupidly decided to port my cell phone over to hello mobile from mint mobile. I signed up for their unlimited plan. After a few days, they throttled my speeds to less than 1mbps because I used 5 gigs!! Not 10 or 20 gigs, only 5! I reached out to their support 2-3 times but they just gave me the runaround claiming something was wrong with my phone. But I explained to them, I actually received a text message from them saying they were throttling my speeds! So after nearly 2 weeks of not being able to use my phone hardly at all, I contacted their support and told them I don't want that line anymore and I'm porting it back to Mint Mobile. They gave me no problems but of course, asked me 20 questions. I answered all questions and that was it. 2 days later on the 20th, they charged me for the line I had just cancelled. Now I am being told that I did not cancel the line. Really? I have provided screenshots showing it was cancelled and dates. But they refund to refund me for the charge on 4/20/23. Worst service I've ever used. First two months great service, but month after month it has gotten progressively worse. Unlimited data my as. I just paid my bill like two days ago, but after literally two seconds online it goes from 4G to the * and there goes my internet access. Trying to post this comment itself has been a nightmare because I can't get the data to stay on long enough to post it. Not to mention half the time my texts don't send I have to try and resend them 3 or 4 times to get them to go through. There are also times when someone calls and I can't hear the person on the other line. And don't even try telling me how sorry you are about my service. I've called customer service enough times, you're not sorry enough to fix the problems, just sorry someone's publically calling you out on it.Hello Mobile Telecom LLC

This is another company that misleads users with the marketing lingo that they are unable to fulfill. Warning users about their unlimited promises and to be exact international calling. I was a customer for 3 years and everything was ok until I had to change the credit card on the automatic billing. I spoke to customer service and gave them the new credit card but they dropped the ball and didn't let me know until the service disconnected. After I paid for the service I was told that I could not keep my old number and they would not refund me the payment.
