I’m originally from New Jersey and migrated here to Newcastle Delaware in 2023. Paying your trash and sewer bill individually is new to me however when picking a sanitation company I got really lucky. I knew I didn’t want Waste management. But Evergreen waste services is the best ever. I never thought I would be reviewing a sanitation company But it’s so well-deserved. I wish my entire development would switch over to Evergreen. It’s the little things that matter like when they dump your trash your cans are turned to the side so that you know your trash/Recycle has been emptied. I had to opportunity to speak with one of the representatives today Ty, she was so personal as if my problem was her problem. My trash wasn’t picked up because my account was past due, and I did not communicate with Evergreen. Even though the workers had came through my development. Ty fixed everything and made a way for me, even though it was my fault. not one time did I ever say I was switching over to another company because I was mad. I’m never leaving Evergreen!

I am very pleased with EG so far, and I haven't even had my first pickup yet! Needed to switch from another company, and chose EG since most of my street were using them. Brianna assisted me over the phone with setting up my account and she demonstrated excellent customer service. Poor communication & services; disrespect by crews for homeowners. Initially mine was trash & recycling containers left out in the street or partially out in the street. I live on a sharp corner with no shoulder or sidewalks making two cars turning both directions troublesome & forcing postal workers to drive around containers. As a disabled widowed sr citizen I was forced to hobble out with a cane to get them out of the street in order to avoid accidents. Those of us who live on the corner have had mailboxes taken out, drivers miss the turn & drive across our lawns. Due to risks of falling, trash & recycling are now picked up by the garage door as of 7/24/24. I was not told when the garage door pick up was arranged Yard Waste container/s could not be picked up too & had to be taken to end of the driveway. Thus, for 3 weeks going on four Yard Waste containers have not been picked up & emptied. Weeds & bushes are growing out of control & I have no way of disposing of trimmings. The rep from customer service told me, on 7/24, she was sending a memo to the supervisor who oversees the crews and someone would call me. Crickets! If the County came around I would be cited for property violations. I have been on my own to take care of the yard since my husband died 4 and a half years ago. My arthritis has gotten bad & I need two knee replacements; thus I am limited to how much I can do at a time & have no way to take any waste to yard waste sites nor have the money to pay anyone. Since Evergreen picks up Yard Waste every week it would have been ideal but, again, I was not told at the time Evergreen arranged weekly pick-ups by the garage door they would not pick up the Yard Waste. I would have canceled my contract & struggled to find someone who could or some other alternative. It's brutal as a widowed sr citizen. This is the 1st time in 27 years since living here this has been an issue. I have already paid for the Yard Waste services.Evergreen Waste Services
