I am a disabled veteran on social security disability. Due to the disability I received while service this fine county, I am not able to work a conventional job. I am on a fixed income and try to stretch what little cash is available. I told the spectrum agent this and they said thank you for your service.Spectrum has an in-humane, profit 1st - check your terms approach 2 something that w/most companies would be common scense. I moved to ** & had to switch to a local provider for the internet/mobile bundle discount. So I ported out of Spectrum and into Xfinity on October 18th. In a very strange coincidence specturm's billing was Oct 18-Nov 17. So today, they ended up taking their normal autopay of $79.98 for that period. When I saw this, I thought - no biggie, I'll chat with customer service and they will either cancel the charge or lower it to like $5 or less (since I used their service for less than 1 day in this billing cycle). But they refused to refund anything saying they don't pro-rate per the terms/conditions, etc. I said, firstly I was not aware of that policy - secondly that makes absolutely zero scense. So I waited like 25 mins to get some feedback from management (supposedly but I doubt the agent engaged management). The same agent just told me that the management individual said: "Thank you for your patience. My membership of leadership has reviewed the account and confirmed the information I provided above is 100% accurate. A new bill was published on 10/18 for the date range of 10/18 - 11/17. They reviewed the usage on the lines and confirmed that both lines used data this cycle. Based on the usage the current charges are valid. We sincerely apologize about any frustration. The charges are valid and they will not be able to process a refund."I never disputed the accuracy of the info - just the extreme luncacy of paying for a full month for less than 1 whole day of service.Review fromJENNIFER A

I have contacted you on several occasions regarding the warranty on my husbands phone. I spoke to a supervisor and she stated that it was Spectrums mistake in not doing the warranty correct. She stated that someone would call me back as she tried to remove the charge. No one called me back. I called again, the story changed and told me I owe $963 for the phone due to it being graded plus taxes and activation adding up to approximately $1120. This phone was recently purchased and still under warranty. I also had the protection plan. I called and told them the port where the phone charges was not working. I was told it was under warranty and they would exchange it. Now, Spectrum received the phone, grades it and charged us. Also, they wanted this payment auto drafted the next day. They also stated there was nothing wrong with the phone. This phone would not charge through the port nor turn on. That was all that was wrong. The screen had normal wear and tare. If there was nothing found wrong all they should have done is contact me and tell me this and return the phone. This wasnt done. I was told to write you within 60 days prior to reporting to *** and BBB. This is very upsetting to buy a phone and it was under warranty spend almost $3500 plus tax and then not less than 60 days later be charged $963 plus all these fees. Had I knew all of this I would have took it somewhere and got the port looked at since the warranty did absolutely nothing but charge me. The manufacturer should fix these types of issues, and again this was not provided. I wasnt trading the phone in for a newer phone and even if they fixed the screen for scratches a new glass is $50. This is ridiculous I was under warranty and paid for the protection plan what does this cover if you prorate a phone thats brand new with a few scratches. The problem was with the port, if it worked then it should have been returned.Review fromDavid C

My Spectrum profile was compromised and my *** card was copied and transferred to another device and even changed device type on my ******************** profile. This allowed the hacker to my Amazon account where they bought gift cards on my card set up for payment.Once they take the *** card, the balance of the financed device is deducted from the card that is set up for auto pay. The device payment contract is breached and an unauthorized charge for the balance is made to your debit card within days of the *** card being taken. The amount they allowed you in trade is not deducted from the price of the phone. We attempted to port two phones to another carrier and Spectrum has a carrier hold on a phone that we have owned for a while. I am over a week after porting the phones and Spectrum doesnt seem to know how to remove the block from a device they do not own. That phone is not usable until the lock has been removed. The money the hackers charged is covered by fraud protection. The money that Spectrum has taken despite having a contract and being a customer for over 20 years, is a disappointing reality. If you are considering getting mobile service from Spectrum, beware that they are able to accelerate the full amount of your phone in the even you are the victim of fraudulent *** card porting. The contract agreement does not hold them responsible if they breach the contract. Keep shopping for a carrier.Review fromCasi L

Worst experience ever. Do not bring your own device, it will mystaeriously "not work". They will insist it is not compatible and sell you a new one. We spent 5 days with them telling us it's a TMobile issue but it definitely was not. The entire customer service experience was not worth it. I definitely would have stayed with TMobile had I known how bad this was going to be. I feel completely taken advantage of and scammed. Do not switch.....not worth it!!!!!Review fromKevin B

After porting 4 lines they refuse to re-imburse stating that they have an internal non-consumer policy that if all of the lines aren't ported in a week no re-imbursement. I request a copy of the document, they supervisor said she cannot supply that. I'm seeking my full 4 phone line port as promised. Also, buyer beware, if you cancel they can go after you, which is the caution I received from the supervisor.Review fromBrittany K

Spectrum: A Horrible Experience from Start to Finish Ive never had such a frustrating experience with a service provider. Spectrums poor communication, misinformation, and inability to help us resolve basic issues left us regretting our decision to switch. We initially signed up for Spectrums buyout program on Sept 17th, transferring three lines and setting up home internet. My husband needed to run two phone numbers (business and personal) on one phonesomething we were assured was possible multiple times. However, after receiving the phones and attempting to activate them, we discovered Spectrum does NOT offer this service, despite their promises. After spending hours in-store trying to resolve the issue, the manager told us they couldnt honor the buyout program because of their own restrictions. We were offered workarounds, but they just made the situation more complicated. Worse, when we decided to cancel everything on October 14th, we were told we couldnt return the phones because of a 14-day return policydespite being told about a 30-day money-back guarantee. The final blow came when we were forced to pay over $1,900 to keep phones we no longer wanted. Spectrum then refused to unlock them until after 60 days, even though we had canceled all services. Weve been stuck waiting for weeks, dealing with constant delays and broken promises.I would caution anyone considering switching to Spectrum: their employees are either misinformed or powerless to resolve problems. Dont trust their sales teams promises and be prepared for a long, frustrating experience if things go wrong.Review fromBrandi F

I have had spectrum for a few years now, and never had an issue. The hurricane came and took out the mainline to the Internet and my neighborhood. The line happens to sit along my fence. A technician came out a week after the incident occurred and said he would have to send someone else. A few days later I called and they said the ticket showed it had been fixed. I said quite the contrary, I have this huge line laying on my fence line where I need to replace my fence. They said oh that was our error and shouldve never happened. We will send somebody out and expedite it. Expediting meant waiting another week for them to send somebody out. Six phone calls and its now day ******************************************** my yard where my fence needs to be. Not to mention all the incompetent people , that work for spectrum no one knows what they are talking about or what to do. This is very disappointing spectrum. I have now canceled my service and will no longer be a spectrum customer ever again. Now come get your wire off my property that is blocking me from replacing my fence that was blown down. Not making things better after 2 huge hurricanes.Review fromSam G

Spectrum misled me on their mobile plan. They said I could use a phone for about $6 a month and no charge on the service. What they DIDN'T tell me is that if I kept the mobile service after a year, thr price would go to about $40 per month AND if I dis continued thr service, I would have to pay the FULL cost of the phone. I returned the phone in just one day, but they STILL charged me $50 for restocking!!
