I live in a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom 842 sq ft apartment. My water/sewer **** went from around $150 to $434. However, My usage did not increase. The company has stated I used **** Gallons. I'm the only user. This is in the ************ area I called in and spoke to a rep and it seems like they are trained to find excuses. They told me that I use more water than my neighbors so I have to pay more for the usage. My concern is that I used up to **** gallons in the past and my **** was nowhere near $434.I did file a complaint with the *********** and attached my previous 12 bills for them to investigate

****** - I can confirm that you are simply being billed as outlined in your lease agreement. Your charges will fluctuate each month based on your usage compared to entire community's usage. For example, if you used ***** gallons of water and the community used a total of ****** gallons of water you would be responsible for 10% of the water and sewer charges. If, during the next month, you used ***** gallons of water and the community used a total of ***** gallons of water you would be responsible for 15% of the water and sewer charges. Most recently, your usage increased and overall you used a larger portion of the community's total usage. This is why your charges have increased significantly. I'm sorry for any inconvenience. You can find conservation tips online at www.utilitiesinfo.com that can be used to potentially lower your usage. Please feel free to reach out to us online at www.utilitiesinfo.com with any questions.

Conservice should be ashamed and any company associated with them is clearly taking advantage of its residents alongside them. The utilities calculations are explained but no deals of the actual usage are included. The billing and payments often do not line up with what the ledgers from the property management company shows. At our property some folks [based on square footage and number of occupants] have been charged $400-700 water bills. Although my own were not that high they ranged from $30-160 with no explanation for the month to month differences. We have contacted the local water department and they agree the billing is excessive. The property management company gets to report that they have no say in billing but then conservice can easily give you the runaround. We have actively organized as a tenants association and are asking that our property management company discontinue working with Conservice altogether. I recommend that anyone reading this as a tenant review you local tenant's right laws and actively investigate these shoddy "services" that you pay to be punished by. These folks do not provided utilities they provide billing services for your landlord (who depends on your job for their income) and then take a cut. There is no interest in fairness or quality here, only money.

********************** I do not see that you have contacted us directly with your concerns. To clarify, your community receives bills from the local utility providers. After your property management pays a portion of the charges the remaining among is divided among the apartments based on occupancy and square footage. Larger apartments with more occupants would received a larger portion of the charges. They are calculated this way as there are no individual meters available to measure each apartment's usage. This is why there is no usage listed on your statements. Any increase or decrease in the community's overall utility charges will reflect on each resident's statements. In reviewing your account, I see that your charges did fluctuate and one month was very low. Please feel free to reach out to us online at www.utilitiesinfo.com with any questions.

My monthly water and sewer **** has skyrocketed from $30 (before Conservice) to more than $100 and keeps increasing every month. They need to be investigated for fraud.

I think that this business is very fraudulent I pay my rent and I dont understand how my sewer can go from $8 dollars to all of a sudden almost $30 , I understand that utility bills fluctuate but this is a big difference youre taking away from my kids mouth instead of putting out towards food for them with this inflation I have to put it towards the sewer or water , this is quite concerning and I would actually like to get a hold of fair housing to let me know if this is usual for businesses such as conservice to increase the billing this much , they should provide a ledger of what exactly they charge you or if they just make up these random numbers

********* - There was a recent update in the sewer base charge. This is based on the sewer base fee charged to the property by the utility provider. I'm sorry for any inconvenience. You can find descriptions of your charges on page 2 of your utility statements. Please feel free to reach out to us online at www.utilitiesinfo.com with any questions.

This company is horrible. The arrogance of the response given from whomever is responding is sickening. Whats the point of contacting www.utilitiesinfo.com if NO ONE will assist you. If a billing is received from conservice with a fee for rent plus that your apartment community gave you documentation to opt out of and you opted out from conservice and you also receive a confirmation from conservice saying you have canceled the service. Then do tell WHY is it still showing on my billing for another month. I called customer service at ***** to speak with ***** he said call your community to discuss . Conservice is not responsible. I contacted the community at 11;38a they advised they are not sure why conservice wont assist they are the ones sending the ****. I called conservice once again at 11:40a and requested a supervisor the rep did not provide her name and hung up. Called again at 11:44a and spoke to ***** whom advised that I cant speak with a supervisor because there isnt one. Someone would call me back. I advised that I have no callback number and I know that there has to a supervisor on shift because in America jobs make sure one is working mon-fri. ***** advised he didnt care because he wasnt in America and I can have a call back or he can hang up. He hung up. Called again @12:10pm and spoke with ****** whom advised that I can hold for a supervisor. After wasting 15 mins of my time holding she too hung up. Conservice just seems to want to con residents out of money for services. Do tell WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FROM ME OTHER RHAN TO STEAL. I was told to opt out, did that got a confirmation email on 6/27. I was still charged I was the fee. I call customer service and continue to get offshore reps who have no problem saying they dont care and hang up.. I came here to open a case but it doesnt seem to mean much since conservice isnt accredited by the bbb. This means they do not care and will not. Ill write congressman concerning the fraudulent charges

Phoenix - I'm happy to clarify. Conservice currently has an A- rating with the Better Business Bureau. Becoming accredited is only done per request of the business and is a voluntary process. Any businesses with a B rating and above are eligible for accreditation. We have simply not applied to be accredited with the Better Business Bureau. However, all complaints and reviews are viewed and handled as needed. Your current ******** charges are for 7/1 - 7/31. They likely processed these charges prior to when you opted out. In order to dispute any ******** charges you will need to contact ******** directly. They can be reached at **************** or ************.Supervisor requests are handled within 24 - 48 hours via callback in the order they were received. I'm sorry for any inconvenience. Please feel free to reach out to us online at www.utilitiesinfo.com with any questions regarding your utility billing.

As a college student, I feel taken advantage of. This time in someones life is usually their first experience living on their own. This company has preyed on a young persons inexperience. I have had the same issues with this company as a lot of other students in my community. This is vile. There have been several months where my roommate and I were gone for weeks at a time. Especially for holiday breaks and yet, our utilities **** would come back just as high or higher than months we were actually there. We are not ****. We turn off our lights, unplug things, and turn the thermostat literally off before we leave yet somehow our bills are ridiculously high after being gone. Our bills were also all over the board in price range. Months where we were there and conducting the same normals activities would lead to bills of drastically different values which made no sense. Even efforts to use less electricity, etc made no difference in the utility **** cost. We could not gage what our **** might be because there was no consistency. My roommate also moved out and I lived ALONE yet that didnt make a difference on the cost of our billsNow neither my roommate nor I are living at our old place. My roommate moved out months ago and I formally moved out in the first week of this month. The thermostat, lights, etc, are off. Yet we are still paying the same exact price for this month that we did last month even though we literally do not live there anymore!! I asked about this and was told the amount was prorated. That is just not true because its the same cost as last month. When I pointed that out and called it theft, Ivy (the customer service rep) went quiet. I explained how a lot of these charges constitute theft and she was just quiet and then said this is all the information I have for you at this time. Dont trust Conservice. Their service IS a con. Its right there in the name.

Alexia * I'm happy to clarify the billing. Your electricity usage is measured and billed by the local utility provider. Once we receive the monthly **** we divide these charges among you and any roommates as needed. We do not advised turning off the thermostat as this often results in a large amount of electricity being used when it is turned back on to bring the apartment back to temperature. We advise keeping the temperature at about 68 * 70 during the winter and 75 * 80 during the summer to help conserve energy. These can be set lower or higher when leaving the apartment. Electricity usage does vary from month to month depending on usage habits, weather, and the time of year. Also, electricity usage is not highly affected by occupancy. For example, the same amount of energy would be used to heat the apartment whether there were 1 occupant or 3. Your final **** was prorated to your lease end date based on your previous months' charges. I see that your final charges are around $100 due to the longer service period being billed. For the previous few months, your charges were between $50 and $60. I do not see that you are being billed the same amount multiple months in a row. I'm sorry for any confusion. Please feel free to reach out to us online at www.utilitiesinfo.com with any questions.

My 86 year old mother on a fixed income has been charged more than $1000 in "vacant service fees" in the past 6 months. She has been living at Avalon Apartments Mission Bay for over 3 years. She had a stroke 3 years ago, which is why she moved to this apartment in *************, to be near her daughter. Suddenly these horrible exorbitant fees show up: $200 or $300 per month on top of rent and utilities, WHICH SHE HAS BEEN PAYING IN FULL FOR. She had been paying the **** without understanding what the charges were. This is a horrible business. I will move her out of that apartment as soon as possible.

I'm required to pay for the service where I live, but get nothing for it. I have tried to contact them, because I'm not the account holder for our recycling company (Republic) that has missed the last two pickups. My recycling is over flowing with 4 weeks of items, that just keep sitting by my curb. they have an online portal they don't check for days, and that closes out service requests, simply because they responded.

Absolutely the worst nightmare of a company! They have been over charging me in water bills for a year now. It has been an "estimated" **** reaching triple digits! When I call to have the issue rectified they ping ******* back to my rental office which then does the ********* To conservice, do not reply to me. All that shows is how arrogant the exploitation is with this company. As well as tasteless.

****** - In reviewing your account, I see that you have not received any water or sewer charges for several months due to the meter reads we have been receiving. There does not appear to be any issues with your meter, but if you would like to get your meter checked by a technician your property management would need to request this. Please feel free to reach out to us online at www.utilitiesinfo.com with any questions.
