      I began with Vivint in 2017. I paid my equipment contract off early (2021). I called the last part of May to cancel my account with Vivint. They told me that I owed $650.00 because I was cancelling the monitoring service. This is not what I signed up for. If I was mislead; they owed me money because the monitoring service fees have been increasing then they would owe me money being in breech of contract. The manager I spoke to said there were some accounts that just had a contract for the equipment and not the monitoring service contract; I was told I do not owe the $650.00. He gave me the instructions for a process to formally cancel my account through an email with specific information in it. I followed their instruction and receive a conformation email from Vivint on the 8th of June verifying the cancelation of my account and they were sorry to see me go. For the next month I receive daily phone calls from Vivint saying there was a problem with my account. Every time I spoke to them (10 times at least) I was told that "by their records and their process" they were trying to **** me for the last month of service. They told me that they were wrongfully billing because I had canceled my account the 8th before their billing cycle. They also informed that I would be in their computer system for 30 days from the 8th of June because of their process. They apologized and put notes on my account and offered to put me on some sort of status that would stop the phone calls. That never worked. The calls finally stopped July 8th as they said they would but, now they have started up again today. I am unable to speak to a human being there that is able to stop them from calling me. I again gave them information that would verify me and they will now cancel my account with another 30 days in the system. My guess is they are trying to get more money out of me, for which I do not owe based on conversation with supervisors and managers. What can I do?

      I signed up for Vivint when I purchased my home in April of 2020, the previous owner had them with all the latest technology. She asked if I wanted to keep the system all I would need to do is pay off the remaining balance of the system which was around ~$700 (Very expensive, yes). If I did not agree than she would just have taken out the entire system which I wanted to avoid. I went ahead and paid off the balance and signed up with the promise to get three months free of monitoring service. Of course that was a lie, I had the hardest time trying to get them to honor the 3 free month's as they claimed to know nothing about. It took month's before they honored it. They are also sneaky and will get you locked into an unfavorable contract. Needless to say I wanted to cancel after that experience and was told that I would have to pay the balance off my 3 year contract for me to cancel. At that time it was several thousands of dollars (not an option so I stayed). Fast forward to just 2 year's my drive way camera failed and wanted to get it replaced. Technician, explained that it was covered by warranty but guess what? Called and they said that I would have to pay for it. Oh and that camera is an old model and in order to get a new model, I would need to upgrade the panel for a whopping $500. Oh and if you upgrade the panel you now have to upgrade the doorbell too since it will not be compatible for another $400. But no worries they'll give you some discounts of ($400) and try to sneak in an additional extension of 5 year's in order to s**** you over even further. This company is by far the worst to deal with. They're sneaky and are out for your money in anyway they can! The lack of communication there is baffling. I spent 2 hours trying to get to a resolution for my drive way camera. At the end, I ended up saying s**** the camera. I'm purchasing one from Amazon and waiting until my contract with them finally ends to get away from this horrible company! STAY AWAY!

      Worst business, sounds like a deal but promises serve short on security and management of services. I've lived in my for 2 mos now, with the installation on my system made on the move in day. The guy who installed it *** was very helpful in setting up things, and even helped me move in some stuff. With his promise initially that someone would call me to send the actual cameras would call later in the week, in face, never came.I've reached out online for chat at their account website but they say to contact customer service but the number keeps hanging up. I'm paying more overtime for a service that doesn't put their customers first, especially when the product hasn't fully been delivered, regardless of any external factors

      It's 940pm, in ************ **. I left the house to dash to the store. And a salesman knocks-on my door with no lights on porch. trying to sale my very pregnant wife service. She only open the door cuz he was waving his cell phone light around, so she thought I left my keys at home.. so she opened the door. Now he wanted to see what service we have. At 945pm no you can't see what service we have. Go away lucky she was able to shut the sale pitch down the can be very aggressive.

      I signed up for a smart home system with Vivint July 13, 2022. To date, not all of the equipment is working. The installation took place on a Wednesday, didn't get completed until the following Monday. I was told by the Salesman that Vivint would pay for the complete buyout of my other security system and it wouldn't be more than $1000 and Vivint would send a $1000 gift card for the buyout. I contacted the security company I had that they were buying out that my termination/cancellation fee was going to be $1,850. I called Vivint and told them the salesman lied to me, the installation was just completed and I only have 3 days to get this resolved. They said i would have to wait ***** hours for a call back voiding the 3 day return policy. I have had a tech scheduled to come check the equipment and tech does not show up. I call customer service and they come up with more excuses for the no show. I tried contacting Vivint again and was transferred to the ****************** each time. They customer service rep will not put me through to a supervisor. I asked that they just simply release me from this contract since the equipment has not been working, I request to cancel the service and contract due to faulty equipment! I also informed her I will not pay for a system does not work. She said there is no way to cancel the contract unless I pay the **** in full. I have been trying to return the equipment but they said i cannot . I should have checked with the BBB before hand on reviews as I never thought i would get scammed like this. I would not have entered an into agreement with them knowing i would have to pay out of pocket for the buyout. The ****************** demands cant cancel . The Technician will not show up and has been going on for several days! Vivint doesnt really deserve one star, they are very unprofessional, deceiving and could care less about their customers!

      I hardly want to give this company a 1 . This company has very poor communication skills and does not honor what they state at the time of selling the products . We had a salesrep come to our house ( *****************) He was very polite and nice . We decided to have cameras installed at our place of business and **** the tech showed up that evening to install .All of that was fine . Until we had another sales rep come to our house a few days later ( ************************) he seemed nice , we were convinced to install the cameras in our home . Per ***** we would receive the 1st 6 months free . we went ahead because it was within our budget . Per ***** there would be someone to install the cameras the following day ( he was at our house until 10pm ) Next day no call no show , then we received a message from the installer stating he wasnt feeling well and will have to reschedule . ( 1 month ago ) . we were bounced around from installer to installer took 3 weeks to get the cameras installed and they were done incorrectly as we are still missing the door sensors and key fobs . We spoke to *************************** numerous times and he was extremely unprofessional and rude . Still we are trying to get answers calling 3 times a day with out response. we have had 10 scheduled times for someone to come finish the job and we have yet to have someone actually commit to finishing the job. Also , ***** is being completely unresponsive to this promise of the 1st 6 months free . Its extremely frustrating to be in this situtaion .

      The worst nightmare!! The system doesn't work,we took a vacation with out the security system working,the alerts come but with no video,it doesn't let you see nothing,worst costumer service,and I think this is a scam,I regret buying this sistem.
