      On November 29, 2024 I signed a new contract with Vivint alarm/monitoring service after 10 years of service with them due to my Panel going completely out and wanted to get outside cameras. On December 5, 2024; the technician came out and did my install. It was supposed to be for a panel, 2 cameras and a thermostat totaling ********. However, when the technician I no longer needed the thermostat once the new panel was installed. Therefore, I was instructed by the Technician I would need to resign a contract because he was removing the thermostat off. The equipment price and monthly fee changed. New price went to over *****. I told by the technician of the price change and was instructed to call Vivint after the install was completed. I have called the *************************** more than 3 times and repeating my issues for nothing to be done. Have emailed both contracts into Vivint for them to review and still nothing. I initially was supposed to switch companies and wished I had. The reviews' on this company is true. Buyers beware this company has great equipment but are the biggest scam artist in the business.

      I called because they resumed my service on the old service address. We moved out from that address and unable to reactivate the service. We are still paying for the equipment but are not reactivating the service since our new home comes with its own security system. When we made the contract the person that sold it us told us when can cancel service anytime but needs to continue paying off the equipment. **************** refused to cancel the service when I called on 2/19/2025 because I saw that they trying to charge the account again without my knowledge, no calls or emails. This company is very deceptive and needs to be taken down because of unfair practices.

      ******* company do no let them install anything in your home they do not live up to there side of the contract their equipment doesnt function properly and they wont send someone out to fix they keep saying they will but never do. ***** in a service contract which I pay but they dont live up to there end. If I could give them less stars I would. I hope they go bankrupt and they live on the streets like rats. And I hope you have the fleas of a thousand camels biting your privates

      Vivint is absolutely terrible. The customer service is terrible. Don't even bother trying to cancel out of your contract because it is nearly impossible even with the buyout (which I did do). Plan for long hold times, static, difficulty understanding the person on the other end, and being disconnected. The equipment itself and the service is expensive. You can find cheaper elsewhere. *****% I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

      Ive been with them for years. My cameras are rarely online. I used to be able to view my cameras and footage from my laptop but not anymore. You can only see things on your small screen in your phone. I cant login to my phone app and they said it would take 5-7 days for tech support to fix that. I live alone and my house almost got broken into but I had no footage I saw my screen off my window and the window was pried open but luckily they didnt get in. The cameras cover such a small area and its not always clear. I asked for a free upgrade after being with them for over 20 years and they said no. So much for being a loyal customer. If I could afford a new system I would switch immediately. Id rather not have one since it hasnt been beneficial and Im only wasting my money.

      Stay away from this company. Super expensive and garbage technology. It barely works and its not worth it whatsoever. Not to mention ive been trying to cancel with them for 14 months and it's impossible. While still being charged monthly. Literally sign up with anyone else.

      Vivint used to be a good company. I don't know what happened to them. **************** is impossible to understand. Their products are faulty and then they want to charge you an upgrade fee monthly so you wind up paying more per month to fix their own problems. So when you are unhappy, you wind up paying more! Techs don't show up when they are supposed to, equipment doesn't work, technical support is a joke. Then it takes three calls to tray and cancel and the whole time they say they understand you want to cancel, but then keep trying to upgrade / upsell you. Finally, it took me 20 minutes on the phone to simply cancel my service. I've had better experiences trying to get out of a timeshare pitch. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

      I was told in order to cancel I had to send an email this was after I canceled my service and paid all necessary fees for early cancellation. Then I was charged months later even after not having Vivint product at the house I used to be in. So I called and told them that I want to cancel they said send email. I sent the email and the cancellation team continued to sell me the product and didnt go ahead and cancel they tricked in me in telling me that I couldnt get Viviint again and that if I did I would have to buy the whole alarm system again that I just finished paying for. I had told them that I moved from the house I was living at and I live in an apartment so I dont know when I will own a home again as I live in ********** now. So they suggested I get a deferment until I bought a house I told them it might be over a year or two and they said they can only do a year so I agreed thinking that once I buy a house I can start my contract welll they failed to tell me that the deferment included the ************************************************************************************** place and sign all paperwork. Now a year later they are sending me a bill to pay a monthly service but I have no type of monitoring service with them. Ive called many times and Im not given an accurate answer until recently where they said I have to pay $700 to cancel one I didnt sign any contract and dont have monitoring service with them so why do I have to cancel when I already paid my early termination fee when I had a different service with them and I paid all obligations they asked for. Ive read other similar blogs,posts and complaints. They are scamming people to stay with them and its difficult to cancel I never had this problem before with many companies. Vivint I was a loyal and faithful customer since 2015 to 2023 and I never thought you would do this to me. Beyond disappointed with your company

      Vivint is a scam! I wish I could leave 0 stars! ******** customer service. The equipment is not worth the price. Constantly goes offline, audio is terrible, glitches, etc. After canceling my service, they continued billing me. When I reached out to them about it, I had to pay for an additional 2 months of service after my initial request for them to cancel.

      Very dishonest sales and management people.1. Gave me 3 month of "free" trial but sent sales agreement with only 3 days to cancel without penalty and didn't want to make changes. So called "addendum" promissing 3 months free didn't have any sugnatures.2. Sales agent signed a contract for me, without my knowledge, when he had my phone in his hands, "helping" me to navigate sales agreement process. Said to me that I can sign next day when technician will come to show the equipment, answer my questions, then I can decide.3. Their bank ******* started sending me bills way before free of any charge term supposed to end.Luckily, I cancelled on third day, since they declined to change trial date in sales agreement to the date that was promissed. Equipment seems to be good but sales people cannot be trusted.
