Your employees unfortunately dont know what customer service is.They are great are reciting the same lines over and over again about how sorry they are and thank you for your patience. I guess the manual doesn't tell them how to actually help people. I spoke with a supervisor, so to speak, whose name was *******. When I asked for her last name, she told me they don,t provide those. When she offered I go to a higher management, they wait for a return call would be 1 - 3 business days. All of this to try to have my own money wired into my personal account. How they managed to get a 4.5 rating is beyond me. They only thing they managed to do within the past few days is lose a customer. I hope management is reading this review

I have had trouble with this bank since day 1!!! My biggest issue is that I have been trying to pay them off but they actually refused to accept my balance xfer payment that was sent electronically by my ************** I called them and asked why they refused to accept the payment and they only said oh we've only been in business for 2 years so some we don't take electronic payments from certain banks! UNACCEPTABLE!!!! FIDELITY BANK is a HUGE bank! If you don't accept an electronic payment from them, who would you accept one from?!!!! So Fidelity had to send them a check...and they claim they haven't received it yet! I have 0 confidence in them and I feel they are just sitting on my payment just to ***** more interest payments out of me! Frustrated in **!!!

A very "uncaring" institution! My dad passed in May, and he, my mom and I (joint owners) have CDs with Marcus. Reached out to them, found out what they needed to change the ownership and provided it to them. On July 12, 2024, with Marcus, my mom and I, on the phone, 4 new CDs were opened which would be the accounts into which the existing CDs would be transferred, and the rate and maturity changed to reflect the old accounts. ******************** does not simply change ownership, even with all the correct documents. They require you to open new accounts and wait for them to then make the changes to these new accounts to reflect the terms of the old accounts, and have the dollars transferred from the old to the new. I was told numerous time frames for completion from: close of business on the day I called, to 3 business days, to the longest being 10 business days. Every contact with them ends with a promise of "a supervisor will call you back by 6 PM EDT today." Never once has anyone contacted me. This isn't rocket science. It's been 18 business days and nothing...nothing. Shameful.

Marcus Goldman Sachs is an AWFUL company. In these hard times, I turned to InChange Debt Solutions to help with my credit card debt. 6 companies worked with InCharge with no problem. Not Goldman Sachs. They sure as h*** helped me to get where I am but want to do NOTHING to help with my debt relief. I called and tried to talk to someone and got absolutely nowhere. STEER CLEAR of this company at all costs. Do yourself a favor and look for credit elsewhere!

I have been saving with Marcus Savings account for a house since 2019. When I finally found the right one in July 2024 I made a transfer of funds on July 24th. I was called that day and told that the funds were not available, I explained that is was for a house purchase and was told someone would call me back that day (its a recorded line). They did not. I called Marcus back, they confirmed my identity, and told me the transfer would occur. 5 days later on July 31st Marcus reversed the transfer. I now had no funds available for the deposit. I called Marcus on July 31st, and conferenced in the bank the money was being transferred to. ***** from Marcus again confirmed my identity, and assured me and my bank that the money would be transferred. We asked if there was any way it would not go through, she confirmed No way (its a recorded line). August 1st, again the transfer was reversed. No call from Marcus (they say they will call if there are any changes). I called Marcus again August 1st, **** told me it could not be transferred to my bank, she informed me the savings account was to accumulate long term savings , I replied I have been saving for a long time, now I want to buy a house. She, as did the first call from a guy from marcus, said that the $ need to be in the account for a certain amount of time, he refused to tell me how long and referred me to my savings account documents. Those documents do not in any way show a requirement for time in account. **** again confirmed my identity (third time), and passed me to ******. ****** then confirmed I was who I stated I was (4th time), and said the transfer will now go through. Another 3 business days. My bank confirmed that they only have seen this issue with Marcus. Marcus, I lost the houseThanks. I have no choice but to move the $ as Marcus was not there for me when i needed them, and i need MY $ available to get that which i saved so long to get

We wanted to pay for our Cancun vacation. We have had our credit card since 2000. We tried to purchase a vacation for $4416. We have a credit limit of $12,000. We are well below our credit limit. We tried about 5 times with getting an email stating yes this was us. Then we contacted Marcus. My husband had to wait on the line for a long time to speak with the fraudulent department. They said we would be good. I was still declined. I spoke with a supervisor. She couldn't help and told me to use another card after being on hold and dealing with her for over 30 minutes. We asked to speak with someone above her and told no and to use another card. Yes I want protection but not at the cost of doing business. Not saying a good thing but used our Chase Southwest card and had no issues. Poor customer service at its best.

Wanted to transfer my funds from my Marcus savings account to a new savings account at a different institution.I get a call from Marcus to let me know that the transfer will have to be reversed and once the funds are returned to Marcus, then the funds would have to be transferred to the funding source(being my checking account), and then from there I would have to transfer the money to my new savings account. They disabled my ability to close the account online too. I pretty much have to call for anything.Thankfully, the transfer was fully processed and the funds weren't reversed.Their customer service terrible too. When I asked what was the issue with me transferring my money to another account, I heard different reasons from different representatives.Needless to say.. avoid Marcus by Goldman Sachs like the plague.

Marcus sent me a check over 10k with someone else name on the mailing envelope and then told me i lost it 3 weeks later they sent another parcel with *** and forgot to put the check in it a week later they said we found the check and will waive the affidavit for lost stolen check then i was told they needed a lost check form notarized and it was sent and now they say we got the check back and your affidavit you should receive new check within 7-10 days now they say we didn't say that its under review now which can take up to 3 mos ... june 6 i asked for a check from my cd account ******************** has mislabeled first check and lost 2nd check customer service will tell you whatever they think you would like to hear and then retract it saying we dont know what agent would tell you that ! A tremulous road with marcus and their screw*** and ability to tell you one thing and retract it later

I wish I had read these comments before opening an account with ********************. Wow their customer service is terrible! I opened an account a few years ago because of their decent savings rates. Fast foward to July 2024. ************** bank has a much better interest rate, so I opened a high yield account with them - so starts my saga. Tuesday I submitted a transfer for a decent amount of money into the new account. No notice there was an issue.Wednesday missed a call from them. Thursday funds have been reversed, so I called customer service (ha ha ha). 2.5 hours later, after multiple "dropped calls" ie: their people hung up on me, I was able to verify my new bank and transfer the funds. So funny that the "dropped calls" have only ever happened when talking to their people and didn't happen once I started threatening legal action. So fund have been transferred right? WRONG!Saturday I check to make sure the funds are moving and low and behold, yet another reversal. Sunday I call them again - we go through all the yes yes yes you cannot send my cell phone a one time code -why? who knows! -and we initiate a transfer to my old account because apparently I can only move fund back to the originating account. Well ****, this account is not verified - whatever that means. Monday I'm on the phone first thing in the morning. Close to 2 hours later, and again multiple "dropped calls" we finally have my original bank verified and funds are going to be transferred. As I'm getting ready to hang up the supervisor tells me "be prepared they might reverse the request AGAIN because there's a note that only 5% of the funds might be able to be tranferred. Uh what?! At this stage I finally lose it and am glad the phone call is over. Wednesday - Hallelujah! the funds have been transferred. I go them them and bring a check to my new bank. They say "um...it doesn't matter WHAT account you want to transfer the money into - it's YOUR MONEY" Needless to say they are terrible - buying beware.
