Thank you for reaching out and providing your feedback. We regret to hear about your dissatisfaction.
We have thoroughly reviewed the situation and believe there may have been some misunderstanding. Our records show that you spoke with our customer service representative, who promptly offered you a refund for the services and cancellation of any further payments. As part of our standard procedure, a release agreement was sent to you. However, you opted to leave a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and indicated your preference to wait 30 days for the refund instead.
We are committed to ensuring our clients are satisfied and believe this issue could have been resolved without the need for a BBB complaint, as we had already extended the resolution you requested.

I greatly prefer to have the BBB as a mediator seems how this business is using Fraudulent “cyber forensic” techniques to take advantage of already vulnerable customers and feel that this matter can be resolved publicly if this company is legitimate and has nothing to hide.

If this company was legitimate resolution through the BBB would be taken as it’s the most appropriate and trustworthy. Your records records should clearly state that I was the one whose number was provided with all my social information such as each account the link to it and its password. **** is my step father who consented to his card being used for a three month monitoring plan. I have been getting nonstop spam calls “labeled data” collection as this business dose not have an official number it has reached out to me from.

A resolution was not offered. My complaint addressed more issues than just the unnecessary collections calls.  I do not feel I received the services I was promised and I have experienced an unnecessary amount of stress because of the business’ disorganization and suspicious practices. All things considered, I do not feel additional money is owed to the business. Cancellation of the remaining balance is a sufficient resolution. I do not expect a refund of the money I have already paid, but I do not feel anything additional is owed.

      Regards,

      ****** ****

, the representative tried to sell me additional services using fear tactics, telling me something bad would happen to me if I didn’t buy more services. Since, I have never received an invoice from the company for payments. Several months later, employees began leaving me threatening voicemails, saying I must make payment or legal action would be taken. I never received anything official/in writing. In April ‘24 I sent in a check equaling 12 months of payments. My initial payment was due July ‘23, meaning this check paid through July ‘24. I never received a receipt or confirmation of receipt though the check was processed. The past few weeks I’ve received more threatening, harassing phone calls. More effort has gone into collecting payment than went into helping with the case/providing services. I still don’t know what I paid for or why it was so expensive. The company is disorganized, borderline unethical, and has poor standards of practice. Clearly they only seek to sell services.

I paid Cyber Investigations (associated with Digital Forensic Corp.) $149.00 on 8/9/2023. **** *** a manager, explained that this option would include: "a list of sites within 15 business days, 2 monthly scans, 2 follow up reports/month, scan up to 3 devices, 24 hour phone support." (I was later told that I only got 24 hour email support, not phone).

      I asked 3 different managers - **** *** ***** ** (Customer Service Manager) & *********** ******* *Sales Manager) - for help receiving a refund, but no one responded.

I want a full refund because: 1. I did not receive any report on my 3 devices until I hounded the company for over a month; 2. An agent should have explained this report (81 pages) with me, but never did; 3. I spent countless hours on the phone trying to get help & was often mislead or ignored; 4. I was betrayed by a Tech Agent.

I was betrayed by a Tech Agent (can't recall his name) who changed the WIFI Network password when I specifically said not to touch or change anything with the Network as it wasn't mine, but my roommate's. The Tech Agent blatantly ignored my request & changed the password. My roommate was furious & blamed me for the Tech Agent's unethical actions. It was a huge mess, causing tension & mistrust in my household due to the negligence of this Tech Agent.

In all my phone calls to Cyber Investigations, I never once spoke with a woman and am concerned this company only hires men. Almost every agent I spoke with was aggressive, rude, & condescending.

8/22/2023: Received "Comprehensive report," related to my info. on websites
9/6/2023: Received "Malware report," but no password so unaccessible
9/6/2023: Tried to cancel subscription, but company email was blocked & couldn't send
9/11/2023: Tried again to cancel subscription by forwarding 9/6 email to ***** **  9/26/2023: Received confirmation email that my subscription was cancelled
9/27/2023: Received revised "Examination report" that finally had summaries of all 3 devices

      Hello,

The person who signed up for service and signed the contract needs to contact us regarding this case. Due to an NDA in our contract we cannot legally speak with you. However, your son is the one that used your card to sign up for the service. We would be more than happy to assist but we need your son to contact us as you are not our client and we did not perform services for you.

Case #******: someone on the ****** app and Instagram blackmailed me. I have a slow learning disability; could you imagine how freaked out I had to have been? I was confused about what to do. I googled (someone's trying to expose my picture), and digital forensics emerged. They started to use scare tactics on me, saying if you don’t use there services, They will post you with a minor; this could ruin your life. You would find a wife if they exposed you. At this point, I’m terrified. telling me this as the blackmailer is on the phone. under pressure, with both in my ears. They tell me to sign the contract. I had little to nothing in my bank. Phase one, they said, starts around 1200 to 1500 dollars. I told them I didn’t have it. They told me to send them what I have as my deposit, and we will start. I sent 120 dollars. they can’t begin until tomorrow. I said so, but the blackmailer is still on the phone. They said I couldn’t do anything unless I agreed to pay more. Of course, I’m going to agree. It was around $8,000. They take over my accounts. And tell me not to log into them until three days or until I’m told. felt anxious because they told me they would keep me updated, but they did not. I decided to log into my accounts on the second day they took over, and all I saw was that the blackmailers were blocked. I called Digital Forensics Corp on the 3rd day because I still hadn’t heard from anyone. I asked if I could log back into my accounts, and he said no because they were still in communication with the blackmailers. He lies to me. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, and giving them the benefit of the doubt I decided to wait to hear what they would tell me in the review. Been months, and I haven’t gotten a review. pressuring me to pay $99 a month and threatening with thelegal team.saying I owed 14608.27 when it's only 8,000, which is very strange. I’m unsatisfied with the scare tactics, the lies, and the threats. I want a refund and cancellation of the contract.
