      I'll simply quote my most recent email to The Shade Store: *******, you don’t understand. Your company has no credibility, nothing you do or say can be counted on. Our master bedroom has been in turmoil for months. The entire experience with your company has been a disaster, riddled with errors and broken promises. WE ARE DONE! Issue the full refund now and then come pick up your stuff. Also put me in immediate contact with your corporate leadership. Without that refund we are on the verge of a lawsuit. I just discovered you have horrible ratings with the Business Business Bureau and the complains on their site exactly mirror our terrible experience with your company. I would like you to read these complaints: ***************************************************************************************************  I could almost copy and paste one of these when I file my complaint with the BBB!

      I had a so-so experience with The Shade Store about 6 years ago. I gave it a second chance in my new house. I ordered simple motorized window shades. The hard wiring for them was already in the wall. They came out and measured and the guy knew we wanted hard-wired shades, as he could see the wiring and even asked me to have a couple of the wires moved slightly, which I did. When the shades came, they were battery operated, which we did not order. So they had to make all new shades. They brought the second set of shades out and they were also battery operated!!! They cannot get the order right, so I had to cancel and start all over with another company. I will never use The Shade Store again.

      Horrible experience with The Shade Store- ***************, **. First they sent the wrong hardware ahead of time so when the installers arrived (2 weeks later) they could not perform. Appointment rescheduled. Second installer shows up with No hardware and knows nothing. Appointment rescheduled again. Upon inspecting the drapes before 3rd installer arrives, we find they only sent one panel drape (we paid for two) A complete mess. Trying to Cancel and ask for refund and they are not complying.

      I am writing to share my horrible experience purchasing drapes from the Shade Store. I paid for and received tracks and drapes that the Shade Store will not/can not install. The purpose of this email is to ask your company to make this right. After being windowed I moved to a new residence. There are wooden blinds in all the rooms but I needed drapes to make the bedroom darker. I worked with Donald Decker-Wolford at The Shade Store, 1626 Boro Place, Tysons, VA 22102. He scheduled and sent a company staff person in my home on June 7th, to measure for the drapes. This Shade Store person said that I had to have the drapes ceiling mounted. The drapes and tracks were ordered and paid for. Mr Decker-Wolford stated that the contract/proposal was approved by "the Shade Store". Installation was scheduled for Monday, July 11th. On that day, Rob (installer) came in and looked at the ceiling and said immediately that he could not do the installation. The reason cited was "post tension cables in the cement ceiling". Rob said he left a message for Donald, who would get back to me I waited for over two days for a reply. Then I called Donald, he said he is waiting for a reply from customer care. Then I chatted online with customer care. This is very distressing. I do not understand how the Shade Store can not speak for its measurement team AND be responsible for their training?????? My contract includes measurement and installation by the Shade Store. If your company does this measurement service, then shouldn't this company stand by its own staff and trained team? This store has taken one of the most stressful times in my life, and made what was supposed to be a simple project, into an utter nightmare, Your company is contractually responsible for installing this drape. They can wall mount it or find a solution. MY ADVICE TO CONSUMERS-BEWARE THE SHADE STORE
