avoid like the plague!!! Thier customer service is AWFUL!! I was told to clean my shades using a magic eraser and my shades were RUINED! customer service ignores all my calls and emails. For a company that charges literally 1000's of dollars for shades you would think they have customer service to match. Instead, once they have your money you're on you own. Disgusting.The Shade Store

Ordered over ****** worth of shades less than a year ago. One came in damaged and another order was just wrong. Spent countless hours chasing the replacements down, trying to schedule service. Then one of the brand new motorized roller shades just stopped working. Waited a couple of weeks for a tech. Tech said motor was shot. Gave me a temporary motor which does not pair with our existing remote and said I would hear from customer service after finishing the repair. Have heard nothing. Nobody answers emails. Im stuck with a shade that does not work and again wasting my time chasing down the repair. Would NEVER use the Shade Store again. The product is bad and the customer service is absolutely the worst I have ever experienced. Dont buy anything from them- vote with your dollars and use another company.The Shade Store

I am so frustrated. I am in tears. Do not use this company! For the last six months we have had people coming to measureand measure and measure. This is followed by error after error after error. Over $20K for 9 windows later I am stuck with blinds that dont match and one with a huge seam down the center. Just awful!The Shade Store

I made an appointment at the Shade Store in *********, ** on 9-28-2024. I met with ******* who was pleasant and helpful. We went over options and pricing. I decided to purchase 4 shades and one valance, $4000 for material and labor. Someone came and took measurements. I placed the order on 12-06-2024. The install date was scheduled for 1-23-2025. I was surprised to learn that the Shade Store only makes one, yes one bracket to hold their shades. The bracket was hanging out of the window frame by half an inch and did not look good. The ***** shade that he hung over the kitchen sink slopped on an angle when it was up. I called ******* who ultimately would place an order for two valances to cover the brackets and another ***** *********************** Second install date 2-20-2024. The same installer came out, installed the new ***** shade (which rubs one wall when bringing the shade up/down) and hung the valances to cover the brackets but could not put the shades in the brackets because they were the wrong size. (he forgot the order and had to turn around and go back 30 minutes to the store to get it making him an hour late). So back to another order. Several weeks later, the installer, who after going to the wrong house (someone gave him the wrong address) was able to put up the last two shades. It is March, 3 months later and all this for the bargain price of $4000. It was the worst experience. I have called the corporate office too many times to remember. All I get is the run a round and no one will call me back. Deville my contact but he will not call me back. My last phone call was on 3-7-2025 and I was told by ****** that Deville would call me back, it did not happen. I was promised more than once upper management would call me and that did not happen. While I am sure there are some happy customers who have purchased from ********************, beware as my experience was a nightmare and I am stuck with a constant reminder of my experience.***** ********The Shade Store

My experience with The Shade Store on *************** in ************* has been very bad. After months of frustration and many visits to our home, we are left with mismatched shades, damaged walls, and no resolution--just a $400 partial refund offer after spending $20,000.What was supposed to be a special project to welcome our first **** has dragged on through the entire pregnancy and well beyond. The damage from the installation has delayed other work in our home, preventing us from moving our **** into the nursery. Now, we need to spend even more money for professional repairs, new paint, and cleaning.The ongoing problem includes:- Repeatedly Incorrect Sizes, Incorrect Materials, and Mismatched Valences - Frayed Shades and Damaged Products - Installation Failures and Property Damage I am disheartened to say that this is the worst customer experience I have ever had. I strongly advise anyone considering The Shade Store to look elsewhere, especially if you need work completed in a timely manner for an important reason like welcoming a **** into the world.Review fromFa Y

Its been quite frustrating working with the Shade Store In ******. At installation, some of the shades were measured too short, certain hardware was the wrong color, so they had to re-measure and we are still waiting to have the new shades re-installed. Recently we came to find out that two of the shades in the back of the house do not fully cover the windows, so the four panels just hang randomly over parts of the windows, looking very awkward and weird. I reached out to the sales *** and was told they were decorative, which she never mentioned before when we first ordered the shades. I am pretty sure they mis-measured again. I requested to get new shades to cover the windows but never heard back. Overall they lack attention to detail and I would not recommend or go back again.The Shade Store

TERRIBLE SERVICE! I definitely cant recommend them - heres why:- take measurements incorrectly - forget bringing some parts for installation - come to your place outside of the scheduled time when nobody is home - have to reschedule at least 3-4 times because of the above Given all of that, expect about a year before what you ordered is installed. Oh yes one more thing: unresponsive customer service. They should be out out of business If there was a no-star rating, thats what I would go for.The Shade Store

This has been hands down, by far, one of the worst purchasing experiences weve ever had. We had shades and curtains made and installed and after having several remade curtains, all three sets are still completely different lengths. The company is now saying that they wont replace the curtains that were made too short after the installer told us they MIGHT stretch out which they never did. While we were waiting to see if the curtains would stretch out, some water got on one of the curtains which the company is now claiming voids the warranty (for curtains they made too long and said would maybe stretch out). After several attempts they somehow have not been able to get the right measurements and the customer service has been pretty awful as theyre now trying to offer a discount to replace the curtains that they havent been able to get right after MULTIPLE attempts. I couldnt NOT RECOMMEND this company more. There is also a huge disconnect between their sales people, installers, and customer service. We built our new home and the purchase from shade store was by far the biggest regret as this company has no integrity whatsoever in their business practices.Review fromKristIne y

I cannot give this company a review or even a single star. Their customer support is terrible, and their follow-through is just as awful. My clients have paid twice to have their electric blinds installed in the great room, and we continue to encounter problems. Ninety percent of the time, the blinds wont raise at all or only go up partially. I have called for service, but I have received no follow-up!
