CLEAR was decent before they did a system upgrade, and it has not worked for me since. Each time I have been told there are CLEAR issues and just use ***. The concept is great, but CLEAR is probably a bad choice to have implemented it. When I complain, I am just told there is nothing they can do.Clear

CLEAR representative pulled my 72 year old mom out of the pre-check tsa line, and scammed her into believing she needed to give her ID and cc to allow her into the pre-check TSA line. She called me confused and the guy already swiped her card on the machine and let her go. She ALREADY has pre-check TSA (not through clear). This is fraud, elderly abuse, and wrong. I am filing a report to the fraud department. It is NOT ok to trick and a person into getting CLEAR. My mom thought they worked for the airport and just ensuring youre in the right line. The airport should not allow these sales tactics to happen.Clear

Summary: My experience with marketing and subscription to this business has led me to believe they operate under Predatory Business and Subscription Trap conditions that are *minimally* within typical legal interpretations. Services were typically as fast as TSA Pre-Check or slightly faster. I *would not* recommend purchasing or gifting this service as the company does not appear to operate with *******************: Advertised to individuals in a rushed/ distressed situation.Subscription: Credit cards, even under gift certificate conditions, are automatically renewed after one year. Upon my enrollment, this was not a highlighted condition. Business *did* send renewal email 1-month in advance and claims to offer 2-month cancelation period. However, as this was an unobserved and the cancellation period information was not available at the time of my instance, this was missed. Further, upon requesting cancelation, business attempts to required multiple cancelation confirmations and cautious subscriber to lost services, then offer reduced rates, then offer additional free months, then *require* reasoning for cancelation.Customer Service: Platform does not appear to offer phone conversation abilities and harness automated response system with controlled options & services. Being connected to an agent to coordinate matters outside of automated services is challenging. Disagreements with agent are **ultimately ignored** while not closing dialog box. Finally, confirming business details such as parent company, registered address, etc is challenging, leading to further concerns of deceptive practices.Clear

This company preys on individuals who are in a rush trying to get through security at airports. A *** will offer you a one-year free trial and then at some point your card will be charged and the trial will not be free at all. By the time you get around to disputing the charge, it will be too late. While waiting in line at *** to get through security, a CLEAR *** approached me, offering me a free one-year trial. As I was in a rush and due to the usual disorientation one experiences at large airports, I agreed. I did not "think" of getting the ***'s name, free trial code, or any sort of proof. My goal was to get through security as quickly as possible, which CLEAR "clearly" took advantage of. This business has unethical business practices and the poorest customer service. I wish there were better regulations of such businesses to protect consumers.Clear

Sales agent at airport fraudulently claimed I would get one year free with my Amex card via a rebate in 6-8 weeks, but it turned out that my card was ineligible. Once I discovered that a rebate would not be forthcoming after the waiting period, Clear refused to offer me a refund.Clear

They should stop promoting their service with salesmen until they find a secure way for duplicate accounts to not be made with the same email or train their workers to check for that. I somehow have multiple subscriptions with the same email made at the airport. I canceled one long ago and received an email confirmation of that. I was not charged twice so I would not have known it was a double subscription. I have not used the service again and that is why I canceled. Their customer member excuse was that they inform you of this at the airport in the clear lines. Which I have not used because I thought I already cancelled it. They attempted to charge me again after disputing the issue and my bank automatically blocked it because it was suspicious. They would not give a reimbursement because when I called it was past the 90 day initial subscription. They keep mentioning that policy but they have broken their own policy that you are initially charged for the membership. If I had two accounts with the subscription then I should have been charged twice to see that issue. I would have also seen two about signing up to my new account in my email but I am not seeing duplicates. It is no longer about the charge. It is about the fraudulent act that they could be making multiple accounts with the same email from the promoters in person. My account was charged before I cancelled. They reimbursed my family after a month but I was too late to see that I was not reimbursed.Clear

I have been trying for over a year to get verified on ******** because I am getting penalized for not being verified. I have been a ******** member for over 15 years. Have had the same phone number for the same time, with a contract where I get the bill on the plan at the end of each month and I pay on time, same phone company for 9 years, same email for over 15 years, Nexus card and all for over 10 years. No change in name either.But Clear can't verify me. No explanations, no way to know what the real issue is, let alone address the issue. Takes me through the phone number confirmation, then a selfie, and then it can't verify me. How??? I hear that it verifies only those who use specific phone companies. If that's the case, can't imagine why it's legal. If Clear is in the business of verification, it can't penalize those who don't use specific phone companies - that has nothing to do with verification.Clear
