This company has my ring valued at a $250 recent appraisal I paid for before WORTHY would accept my ring valued at $17,500.00 I refused the absurd final bid of $2300. They then offered $2800 which I refused and requested my ring returned. SINCE THEN- I get no email or calls from WORTHY. I have the few ridiculous emails with the final one being an email account that you CANNOT REPLY TO. I have the proof. I want my ring ASAP or I will *** them for the entire appraisal value. They are scamming me and telling me lies from fake email accounts. ***********************Worthy.com

We focus on educating our sellers on the difference between the appraisal and the resale value of jewelry. Appraisals are primarily provided for the purposes of insurance coverage and can be significantly inflated from even the original retail price. In light of this, the appraisal value is not a true reflection of the current market value and what buyers would be willing to pay for the jewelry.
We only make money when you do which is why we are focused on setting your auction up for success. As a reminder, complimentary professional cleaning, photography, and grading were provided prior to the start of your auction. Although the offers placed for your auction did not reach the amount you were hoping to sell your jewelry for, our team assisted with negotiating a higher counter offer on your behalf that you had the option to accept or reject.
We can confirm your ring has since been returned to you as shown in ***** tracking ending in *****. We thank you for your patience while final preparations were made to get your jewelry ready for return. As a reminder, your diamond was unmounted for accurate grading at the **** Prior to returning your jewelry, your diamond was reset. We do acknowledge this work required some additional time to complete however it is our commitment to ensure that our sellers receive their items back in the same or better condition than when we received it. As such, we follow rigorous quality control protocols that in this case, resulted in a return delay. For that we do sincerely apologize.We hope you have more success in the future selling your jewelry.

It is important to note that pre-owned jewelry commonly sells for a significantly lower amount than what was originally paid. Retail prices commonly include markups for any overhead costs and profit margins that do not transfer over in a resale market. These added costs are not part of a jewelry piece's intrinsic value and therefore will likely not be part of what a buyer will consider paying.

Using Worthy to sell my wedding set was the easiest most pleasant experience. Every person that handled each step was very informative. At every new step I was met with a email or text explaining the what was next to come. There was very little for me to do. After the auction was over and it was time to receive my money I received an email with a time frame and I received it promptly. Overall the process with Worthy was quick and efficient. I did feel a bit pressured to send my ring in once I input my email address by all of the emails, calls, and text messages. Once I mailed off my ring there was also a lot of communication about every step of the process. Im sure this level of communication is appreciated by some who sell through Worthy but it was a bit much for me personally.Worthy.com

Terrible company. Been waiting to get our ring back, that is valued at almost $9000 (with papers), finally got an email saying it got sent off but theres no tracking number that works for us to pick up the ring that Im worried may have been messed with. Was offered basically $500 for it and when I wanted it back, its been a hassle. Do not use this company if you value your jewelry at all. We have another buyer we cant get the ring to so they are basically costing us money at this point.Worthy.com

As a reminder, with your approval, your center diamond was unmounted from the diamond for accurate grading at the **** Prior to returning your jewelry, the center diamond had to be remounted to the setting and this work required both expert care and time to complete. Market demand can also shift over time, changing what buyers are looking for and what they are willing to pay for certain characteristics.
