It has been more than a year waiting for my ring to be shipped back. Worthy offered $55 for *******'s diamond ring. Now they ask for $75 to send it back. It is a scam.Worthy.com

Hello *****,
We share your concern with the period of time it has taken to get your jewelry returned to you. Our team has made extensive attempts to reach you directly since we last heard from you in April of 2022. We remain focused in getting your jewelry returned without further delay and ask for you to follow up with our team in order to do so.
As a reminder, we originally received your jewelry on January 14th, 2022 and assisted you with auctioning it to our network of professional buyers. Although ten bids were placed, the highest offer did not meet the reserve price you set and it was prepared for return free of charge. You were notified of the return shipment on February 3rd, 2022 however the package was not picked up from the ***** location you confirmed and it was returned to our office. We attempted to ship your package a second time, directly to your confirmed residence, and this delivery was also not successful.
As explained on our website and in the communication sent to you directly, our services include a complimentary shipment to and from our office however if the package is not delivered successfully, reshipment fee would apply. As a courtesy, we waived the initial reshipment fee when we attempted to ship your jewelry a second time. Prior to making a third attempt to ship your jewelry back to you, we ask for you to cover the costs associated with the shipment in light of the effort and expenses incurred by our team up to this point.
You can expect to be contacted by a senior member of our team today. Please respond to our communication so that we can get this matter resolved without any further delay.
Thank you,

I sent a ring and earrings in to them they didn't even bother with a auction which is not the worst part, they held my jewelry for over a week and when they finally decided to let me know when they would send my jewelry back, I informed them not to send it because I was going to be out if town. They said they would hold it until I told them to send it. They did not and it arrived while I was out of town. Horrible customer service. If I had not rushed to get it they would have sent it back and charged me $50 and no telling when I would have gotten it if at all. Horrible way to do business.Worthy.com

Hello ********,
Based on details you provided for your ring's submission, we were under the impression your ring had a center diamond between 0.9 - **** carats. When your jewelry arrived, an initial assessment was conducted by our gemologists and it was determined that your ring and earrings were both made up of a collection of smaller diamonds, none meeting our minimim carat criteria of .90 carats. We have found that when jewelry does not contain at least one diamond .90 carats or above, the jewelry does not perform as well during auction with our network of over ***** professional buyers. For this reason, we advised you we would need to return your jewelry. If we aren't confident we'll be able to help you sell your jewelry, we'll notify you right away so you can pursue other options that might bring you more success.
After you confirmed the return location for your jewelry, a confirmation email was sent that advised our return processing timeframe was **** business days. When you requested on 11/1 to have the return of your jewelry held while you were on vacation, the request was noted by our Support team however the jewelry was inadvertently packaged and shipped on 11/6. The package was available for pickup on 11/8 and would be held by ***** for 5 business days. We're glad to see you were able to retrieve the package on 11/10. In the event you weren't able to pick up the package before it was returned to our office, without hesitation, we would have waived the reshipment fee in light of the unfortunate oversight that occurred.
To ensure we have thoroughly addressed the concerns with your recent experience, a member of our leadership team will be following up with you directly.
We look forward to connecting with you.
Thank you,

My experience hasn't been what I expected or what was promoted by Worthy. When Worthy unmounted my jewelry, the grading of the diamond was lowered by Worthy, and not at all close to the grading shared by our family's jeweler , whom we've worked with for over 10 years. I'd had the ring inspected prior to sending it, only to be told by Worthy staff there was a chip in the 1+ carat **************. My ring was remounted for auction. I did not sell my ring at the extremely low value suggested. I asked that my jewelry be shipped back to me. The ring has been in process more than a week. If it's already mounted and didn't sell, I don't understand why it takes **** days to ship it back. I can't help but wonder if the ************** is being switched out with a lower graded diamond, close in proximity to what Worthy suggests is the actual grade they came up with.Worthy.com

Hello ***,
We're sorry to hear your experience did not meet your expectations. Rest assured, your jewelry will be shipped later today and you can expect to receive an email confirmation the shipment information this afternoon. We greatly appreciate your patience while our team made final preparations for your return which included resetting the center diamond to the jewelry.
All jewelry is carefully assessed by our lab team after it has arrived at our office. In the event we discover a chip or cavity that pre-existed within the diamond, we will notify you right away to ensure you are aware. As shown in the magnified picture provided to you, the chip is at one of the corners of your princess cut diamond and more visible when the prong has been lifted from the stone. Diamonds with pointed corners are more prone to chips if they come into contact with a hard surface at any point while being worn over time.
As part of the complimentary services we provided in preparation for your jewelry's auction, your center diamond was graded at the **** a world-renowned diamond grading lab. It was based on this up to date and objective grading and market trends of comparable jewelry that influenced our gemologist's suggested reserve price for your auction. Regardless of the recommendation we provide, you have complete control to set your auction's reserve at the minimum amount you are comfortable to sell your jewelry for. In the event your jewelry does not sell, it will be returned to you completely free of charge.
It is important to note that the appraisal you provided was from **** and the diamond appears to have been appraised while mounted in the ring's setting. Depending on the grading procedures followed and equipment used, grading results can vary. For this reason, we have partnered with industry leading grading labs such as the *** and IGI to authenticate all jewelry prior to the auction.
To ensure we have addressed any remaining concerns, a member of our team will be following up with you directly to discuss your experience further. We look forward to connecting with you.
Thank you,

Worthy will only take your diamond if it's. ******************************** larger. They low grade your diamond. I've had a better offer from a **** shop. They miss graded both of my wedding set. They also ask if they can remove the center stone for "better grading" I stupidly said yes.. They can change or take the stone, so don't say yes like I did. They also told me my wedding band was 14k, where it is Platinum. They graded my center stone as an I1 - I2 meaning you can see flaws with just your eyes looking at it.. you can't. I've looked at it under a jewelers microscope and there is one little natural flaw.Once you put your ring in auction you can't change your mind and ask for it back. If you ask to ha e your rings sent back They don't return it to your home they send it to the nearest ***** facility where it's only held there for I think a week. If you don't pick it up it goes back to Worthy. That is wrong.. be very careful when sending it to worthy.. get an appraisal before.you send it.. I will have mine checked out once I pick it up.. I'm so worried they changed outmy beautiful center stone...be very careful with them.Worthy.com

Hi ****,
We're sorry to hear your recent experience did not meet your expectations. A senior member of our leadership team has attempted to reach you directly to clear up any misunderstandings that *** have lead to such a poor experience.
As part of the complimentary services provided for your jewelry's auction which includes professional cleaning and photography, your bridal set was graded at ***, an independent and highly reputable grading lab. Based on the objective grading provided by the *** and comparing your jewelry with sold jewelry of comparable quality, we provided you with a suggested reserve price for your auction. You had complete control to go with our recommended reserve price or set your reserve at the minimum amount you felt comfortable selling your bridal set for.
Our expert team regularly unmounts diamonds after obtaining approval to do so, for accurate grading of the loose diamonds at the **** however, as shown in the *** grading report details made available during auction, your jewelry was graded fully mounted. The grading report also specified the two rings within your bridal set, one 14K white gold ring and one platinum band. It is important to note that assessments made by jewelers can vary from official gradings completed at a grading lab due to limitations in equipment used or grading procedures that are followed. For this reason, we trust industry leaders like the *** and *** to authenticate all jewelry being auctioned.
Although we didn't have the opportunity to help you auction your jewelry, we wish you luck in reaching a more acceptable offer elsewhere. As a reminder, the return of your jewelry was initiated the same day you requested it, on October 24th. An email was sent which directed you to confirm the return location for your jewelry. Based on your selection to have the jewelry be returned to a ***** location near you, where it would be held securely for up to 5 business days, our shipping team prepared your jewelry for return. Although we do advise that our return processing timeline is **** business days, your jewelry was shipped on October 26th, two days after you confirmed the ***** location for return.
We remain hopeful that we'll have the opportunity to connect with you directly to address any remaining concerns you have with your recent experience.
Thank you,
