Terrible business. It's impossible to get in contact with their Office of Testing Integrity team. They don't respond to emails or calls. I sent a dozen emails and called more than 10 times but I couldn't get a proper response.Review fromAmy D

this company needs to better train their staff. I have been given misinformation from different agents on multiple occasions. Additionally, this company provides fee waivers for those in need but if you need to reschedule your test with them (even weeks or months in advance) they have a callus disregard for those who are in financial need and have no way to lessen the burden of those who they have already determined to be in financial need. If I wasnt requested to take the test through them I wouldnt as they are are only out to get as much money as they can without providing accurate information to their customers or having any kind of system to help those who are in financial need. They are making me pay $40 to reschedule my test or make me take a half day at my relatively new job because they forced me into scheduling my test in August when I had no idea what my schedule would be like. I would never recommend those company to anyone.Review fromNatalia S.

The in-person testing locations for the GRE are far from my home, so I paid to take the at-home test. Except I never took it because my exam got terminated "due to security reasons" before I even finished the check-in with my *******. Now I either need to pay for the test AGAIN or wait even longer to see if I qualify for a refund/ reschedule. Complete unprofessionalism! It's been 4 weeks and no matter how much I call and email, no one is giving me an answer regarding a decision. I don't know where to reschedule, or wait, or pay again (which I don't really have the money to do in the first place). My ******* said everything was up to code in my room, yet I can't help but feel like I'm being accused of cheating. My deadlines for applications are drawing near, and I can't get this dumb exam at least started! I don't understand why this needs to be so stressful for the students taking a mandatory exam.Review fromKristen P

I took my Praxis exam at home on July 22, 2022. I took all 3 tests together because that is what I could afford. I had extra time after finishing math and reading and took a bathroom break. Now it is August 26, 2022 and they are still withholding my scores "to investigate things that *** have occurred during my exam." The time I called before this they said "your scores are being reviewed by an analyst and you should receive an email with your scores within a few days." This is unprofessional on their part and extremely upsetting for test takers who did nothing wrong and need their test scores to apply for PCE and are under a deadline to have things submitted.Review fromJuliet U

I chose to take a Praxis test at home. I have a new computer and it passed all of the pretest requirements. After downloading the testing browser, a message stated that ******* U was locked out of my exam. They they instructed me to call ETS and reschedule. ETS said that I would have to pay again to reschedule my exam even though there was no problem with my computer system. PLEASE do not choose to take your test at home. If this happened to me then I am sure it has happened to many others and is clearly something they are offering to force people to pay for multiple tests. I would strongly encourage the BBB to look into ETS and ******* U to find out how many people they have taken advantage of in this way. ETS needs to stop offering at-home testing as an option since it does not work.Review fromJeremy J

Had an issue day of trying to take an at-home test, my personal laptop was not working. Tried using a work one but it could not use the software. Tried calling them and they already had their offices closed, because they only have East Coast offices and hours. Emailed them then called the next day, they absolutely refused to help reschedule, essentially blaming me for the problem despite it being day-of and they not being able to assist me. Told me I have to pay them $150 again just for the opportunity to take this test.ETS and PRAXIS tests are basically a giant scam, very inflexible and charge absurd amounts. The fact it costs $40 to simply reschedule, and if I wanted to cancel I'd only get half of what I paid, should be proof enough that this company is trying to nickel and dime people.Review fromMelissa S

Due to Covid, the ETS PRAXIS service started offering at-home tests if the right equipment and connection were available. I lived in a very rural area of ******, so taking the test at my school was a brilliant option rather than fly to a city where there was a testing centre. I signed up and then attempted to download the third party software to make sure it was up and running a month before my test, as I had had issues with Internet and hardware with other tests I'd taken in my rural area. The software wouldn't download, even though the diagnostic said the connection was strong and the equipment was functioning properly. I called ETS PRAXIS and they told me to contact ******* U, the third party company for assistance. I did. The rep for ******* U said that I would not be able to download the software until the day of the test, so I took their word that the issue would not be an issue as they assured me everything would be fine. Day of the test, the software still didn't download. PRAXIS has no representatives on the weekend, but the rep at ******* U told me there was nothing they could do if the software didn't download. I contacted PRAXIS the following Monday and received an email back that said it was my fault, even though I had attempted to make sure way before the day of the test my stuff would work. PRAXIS has a rule that you need to reschedule three days prior to the test, but ******* U told me I couldn't even make sure the software was going to work until the day of the test. When PRAXIS refused to work with me, I contacted my bank and they agreed with me that the situation was without integrity. So they charged back the fee to PRAXIS. PRAXIS then sent me a **** with a charge back fee in the total of 190$. I sent a letter to their complaints department that I am not paying because it is their issue, I have reference numbers for all the contact I had with them regarding this issue, and that I will not be taking a test I need.Review fromJanna W

I was all prepared for my social studies Praxis, trying to log in, and didn't know that there would be issues using my work provided computer. I don't even know what a firewall is and wouldn't have ever figured there would be a problem. They don't tell you what you'll need to get permission to allow. After trying to email (form wouldn't submit) and "talk" to their bot-thing, I have been in tears for two hours, mostly over the waste of money and the fact I won't be able to teach a subject I am more than able to do. I also finally gave up after being on hold for over 30 minutes.Review fromPatricia B

Paid to take the Praxis Spanish Language test and had issues logging in but when I tested my computer a few days prior to the test, it stated all was good. ETS does not make an effort to warn tests takers that when issues arise during test taking; they will not help you and will make you pay again to take a test because they know you need such test and you will do so. When I logged into my ETS account, it said that just because the technology test passed on the day it was tested it doesn't mean it will pass on the day of the test. which pretty much is what happened to me because I had downloaded everything, make sure ****** chrome was up to date; eventhough I do not use ****** Chromo. I was not able to start my test as there were no instructions telling me how to login. I waited for the timer to tell me it was time to start and then I couldn't go anywhere. when I finally got the proctorU to help me, they provided help but could not help me login. I then called and sent emails telling ETS I needed help getting into my test and no help was provided. Instead I had to wait a long time on the phone while my hour to log in run out. The ETS lady on the phone read me the rules stating that I may have to pay again if the investigation resulted that it was my fault for why I couldn't log in. Frustrated and overwhelmed, I wrote an email explaining what happened, to later receive an email telling me that they are keeping my $170 and that I will have to pay again to take my test. My request was denied and now I must pay again to take the test, which I refuse to do so online in fear of entering in panic because of what happened the last time I tried to take it online. My biggest regret is signing up for an online test which we are being forced to do because ETS does not have open testing centers. I tried 5 different locations and were all not open near my area.Review fromBrenda R

My job is on the line. My administration has been really patient with waiting on my test scores. I took the praxis **** on 06/9/22 and scores were suppose to be posted in my account 07/15/22. I went on my account and my scores were delayed. I called the **************** and told me that my results were under review and that I should expect to see my results a week later. I waited a week, and no results. I called again to find out what the issue was. This time, my scores were released but now I have to wait another week. Im done waiting! I need my official scores NOW! I need to submit my scores to my administrator or else I will have no job!
