      We had a very positive experience working with Karen White from Longbridge Financial, LLC. She was extremely helpful and was on top of all the requirements that we needed to fulfill to be able to qualify for the reverse mortgage loan. Every step was explained and was very helpful for us to make the decision to apply for the loan.       I think Longbridge is fantastic My agent Saher, from the first time we spoke, we looked no further She was so kind, knowledgeable, easy to understand all she explained. It was like it was truly meant to be. The whole process was perfect and the class we took they were also great. Of course it would be nice if it was cheaper, but other than that we were very pleased and impressed. Don't ever let Saher go Thank you all God bless you Dan and Elena

      I selected another well known company for my initial inquiries about a reverse mortgage. I wanted to check another option and chose to approach Longbridge Financial because they had the highest overall rating for customer satisfaction. I soon learned why. The Longbridge representatives were fully informative about all the details of the entire process specific to my personal situation. I got zero surprises at closing, and was treated with the highest degree of professionalism and courtesy. Anyone considering a reverse mortgage option would not go wrong by contacting Longbridge Financial.

      Worst experience ever, they manage my insurance money for my hurricane Ian claim, roughly 300k. Since 1 1/2 year I'm fighting with them for contractor and out of pocket payments. 91% of all checks they issued had either the wrong amount or contractor on, even a $106k check for a contractor we fired 1/2 year before. For the front door estimate (which was valid for 30 days) I got a check with the wrong down payment amount after 33 days and the correct check after 50 day, which now causes a 12 weeks installation delay. The current problem is the final payment for the windows. Currently 66% are paid, rest is due after city inspection (which can take up to 12 months). Longbridge issued a check with 100% on the check and are telling me they cannot fix that, I should give the check to the contractor and ask him to pay me the difference, and in the meantime the money is missing to do final payments for other contractors. Longbridge, after several calls, is not willing to fix the issue they created. In total (again), worst experience ever. It was easier to get the money from the insurance than from Longbridge. They 1st thing after finishing the house is changing the mortgage company!

      This company is bullying, inaccurate and sends inappropriate communications which have a threatening tone. They discuss serious consequences when no one has done anything wrong. This is ignorant & will certainly lose customers. My initial loan agent, however, was excellent. It's their other departments which will certainly trigger fury & eventual litigation.

      Happy with a choice that I made that could make the last part of my life without a conventional mortgage. Then three days before closing I was hit with 15 yrs escrow for taxes and insurance. I explained that in my state the taxes would be less for me than the previous owner but the mtg company refused to listen till I agreed on 15 yr that it would be slightly lower than originally proposed but still no where near the zero tax I actually have because in my state a widow with a total disability and having a certain amount of income qualifies for a $5,000 exemption to the actual tax making my tax a few hundred dollars a year if not less. I now have to get my escrow back! I think with my experience with the mtg company this may take me to get a lawyer. $80,000 that was my escrow was not what I planned. Now I’m in debt because the house needed so much work after moving in. I need all new appliances I’ve only been able to replace the fridge with a scratch and dent fridge. The stove is gas and the regulator is gone so it’s broken and 22 yrs old. The microwave top fell off again 22 yrs old. The dishwasher is only good for rinsing because it’s broken and really useless as an actual dishwasher. Enough said. The closing costs were outrageous. I would have done much better with a conventional loan and have equity in this house to get a loan to replace appliance. Instead of being happy and excited with my new home and location I’m waiting for that next SS deposit. I should’ve known better!

      My wife and I are very pleased with the way Dan with Longbridge Financial helped us navigate the reverse mortgage process. Dan was an excellent communicator through the entire process. We encountered an issue with our first appraisal that required a second appraisal that delayed the final closing, but again, Dan kept us abreast with the required steps and informed us as everything went forward. Consider Dan a valuable asset to your organization. ***** **

      Longbridge Financial took my elderly, disabled-dad on a very dishonest negligent ride for weeks on end, causing him a lot of unnecessary stress with unanswered promise after unanswered promise all in attempt to cover up the inept, untrained 1st time processor’s lack of work. Christine ** had no business handling my 99 yr old dad’s financial future (or anyone’s platinum reverse mortgage, for that matter) and especially without any supervision. How is it possible that no manager at Longbridge was aware that Christine was 4 weeks post the promised (in writing, of course) funding date of May 23, 2024, and had not done a single part of her job in all the weeks she was given. I had to spend several days of my time getting involved & insisting on another processor being assigned to my dad, all while Longbridge employees made up excuse after excuse, ultimately wks later doing various aspects of this terrible processor Christine’s job for her. 7 wks post funding date is the stunt Longbridge pulled, forcing my dad to be so low on funds going into his 100th birthday (Longbridge refused to front any funding altho they held my dad up by almost 2 months taking away my dad’s opportunity to go to a more honest lender). Needless to say, my dad was beyond stressed & felt taken by Longbridge. How Longbridge could mistreat an (at the time) almost 100 yr old (& former president of the American Marketing Association, and mentally very sharp in my dad’s case) is beyond everyone involved in all mortgage, loan officer etc. sides of my dad’s months of neglect by Longbridge. The fact that Christine could hold my dad’s platinum reverse up by wks, stating lies & providing false information in writing, not even scheduling appraisals on time is Longbridge’s responsibility, Longbridge Financial promised to fund my dad’s platinum reverse mortgage on May 23rd 2024 & failed to do so, causing my dad serious stress after asking my dad to pre-date docs due to their errors). Longbridge =elder abuse.

      I was skeptical of working with any financial institution. But the loan officer, Colleen, I worked with was very experienced, knowledgeable, and always responsive. As most people do, I always had many questions throughout the loan process. She always responded within a very short time, I never worried or waited for an answer. She was knowledgeable on every question I had. We also talked as friends! They were easy to work with, competent and responsive in all areas. All forms and documents were always presented, and I was informed of everything during the process. The appraiser and the notary were very nice and again we talked as friends. The entire process was easy and completed very quickly compared to other lenders. They quickly resolved a last minute issue. Thank you for a positive experience and a mental relief!
