I called and talked to an intake person, who put me through to a loan officer for a new reverse mortgage application. We set an appointment for noon today with ***********************. She said she was running behind schedule. 2.5 hours later she texted me that she is leaving for the office. 3.5 hours later she still hasn't called me for the appointment that was for nearly 4 hours ago. She said she was leaving for the office 70 minutes ago and still hasn't called me for the appointment that was for noon today (it is almost 4pm and nothing yet. I called your main office 9 times in 2 days just to see if I could talk to a different loan officer but no one answers your main office line except the one 1st time. I would call these 9 times and no one answers and asked me to leave a message which I left one message yesterday and once today and still no one answers or returns my calls.Longbridge Financial, LLC

They never addressed my concern why they never answered their phones and also why my appointment never happened. It was for noon, but as of 4pm no response. Yes several hours later she texted me that she is leaving to go to the office. I waited one hour and she hadn't said she arrived at her office.Review fromGeraldine K

HORRIBLE!!! Told by ********************** all financials were approved....then 3 MONTHS LATER, told me it wouldnt work!!! TOTAL waste of time. Their approach is VERY predatory!!!Longbridge Financial, LLC

Longbridge understands your frustration that the loan you applied for did not end up closing. The information reviewed initially was a preliminary review of just one part of the process. As the processing of your loan continued, other challenges arose which were insurmountable, despite our best efforts. Longbridge is required to follow FHA guidelines set forth for income, assets, and property requirements. In all cases, each loan must meet the minimum requirement in each category. The Longbridge representative discussed the challenges with you throughout the process and in no way acted in a predatory manner.Review fromVanessa S

I received an email from a *************************** statin that he was following up on information that I had requested regarding a reverse mortgage. I emailed ****** back and explained to him that I did not inquire about this and that he could disregard any further correspondence from me. I then called ****** to see if I could get any further information about the person that had requested this information on my behalf. ****** stated that the womans name is ****** and he provided me with her phone number. When I look the phone number up it is registered to a company in ***** ********** called *****************************. I say all of this to say. I did not put in this request and when I called the number ****** had listed in his email he sound like I had just woke him up and he didn't sound professional at all/. Not to mention he was more than willing to give me the name and number of the person that was using my email information. I don't know if the company is legit but the was my experience with them on 2/15/23.Longbridge Financial, LLC

Longbridge is holding my Insurance claim funds hostage. The NEVER CALL BACK. EVER! MY INSURANCE COMPANY ( ***** ****) PAID MY CLAIM IMMEDIATELY. LONGBRIDGE CLAIMS SUCK! DON'T EVEN GET A REVERSE MORTGAGE WITH THEM.Longbridge Financial, LLC

We understand your concerns regarding the release of the loss draft funds. However, we are required to follow specific guidelines to confirm that repairs have been completed to restore the property per the terms of the security instrument. One of these guidelines is a full adjusters report before we can release funds. As of February 16, 2023, we are still waiting on the full adjusters report. Unfortunately, this timeline is out of our control. ******, AWLFUL when trying to pay off monies owed. Sent check in good faith as legal tender for final payment. Check returned w/company stamped dated 5 days after mailing stating 'unable to process' re: 'check *** greater than UFB'. I assume trying to receive more $$ due to fed interest rate 09/22/2022. At Longbridge we strive to provide excellent customer service. We are fully compliant and do not prey on senior citizens. We were unable to accept a check for an amount greater than the outstanding balance of $50.10 to pay off the loan. The check submitted was for $75.00 which exceeded the outstanding balance of the loan. Please submit a check in the amount of $50.10 to payoff your loan. Horrible experience trying to do a reverse mortgage. No explanation of what income that could and not be included. They had all my financial information the first week and yet in week 3 they said my income was not high enough.There was a 3rd lien on my property and I asked for weeks who it was as I was only aware of 2 liens. Never did receive an answer so I called a local title ** and found out it was a lien that had been fulfilled over 10 years ago. It took me 1 day to get a satisfaction and have it recorded. After 4 weeks the underwriter is still asking for more information (including things I had sent them weeks ago). Week 5 I moved the loan and they asked me not to as they were ready to close with "just a couple of more things for the underwriter." They then took 3 days to transfer over my appraisal and another 3 days for them to request I reimburse them for appraisal before they would send over the complete package. I have been in the real estate industry for over 40 years. I have no idea what the average person would do. I would never recommend them.Longbridge Financial, LLC

I so appreciate all the time that Jeffrey ***** put into our reverse mortgage refi. He knows the markets and prevailing economic fluctuations well, and helped us obtain the paperwork we needed. We were stymied in the end with all the sudden changes in interest rates and market uncertainty, but we don't blame him for that. We only wanted to find something to help us live a bit better in our retirement. Hopefully, things will rebound and our property will get a second chance. We were lied to about our reverse mortgage. We went with them because the said they would honor our tax deferment. They did not.. they took $2500 of our money, paid taxes we didn't owe and the state will not refund the money. Were out $2500 because children are running the company.
