I hired them for a move from ******** to Washington. I was quoted **** and they would call to verify the move 7 days prior. 3 days prior you cannot get your deposit back. They called 3 days prior and adjusted my move to **** and said they didn't want to lose me as a customer and didn't want me to lose my deposit. If I hadn't printed out the contract, I would have no evidence of ever doing business with them as they delete the contract online after you have signed it. When All Season *** Lines showed up on moving day, they said they worked for Authority moving experts, and Authority moving experts was a broker, not an actual moving company. They also charged me an additional **** dollars because they said my inventory was different than the quote. I have an additional complaint in against them. When I called to complain about the company they sent to move me, they said they weren't responsible for them or what they charged. Very rarely do you get someone to answer the phone unless you call the number to schedule a move. I wish now I had just rented a u-haul and done it myself. I ended up paying ****** dollars and still don't have all of my stuff after 2 deliveries. I filed a complaint with the ** AG and DOT.Authority Moving Experts

Hello and thank you for providing this feedback. To clarify, the cancellation policy at the time of your reservation on 7/12/2022 is 72 hours from the time of reservation and not prior to your first available pickup date. At the time of your quality assurance call several additions were made to your inventory that increased the total volume of your shipment which increases your overall move cost. As per the deletion of your contract, after move day the link to your estimate will expire because your Bill of Lading on pickup will supersede your initial binding estimate. A PDF copy is available upon request and can be sent over immediately, but we have no record of such request. The additional charges that incurred on your move day were due to the discrepancies in what was to be moved on move day and what was told to our company during your initial inventory and upon your quality assurance phone call 3-7 days prior to your move day. We are always available to our customers via the customer service email and the contact information provided to you on your initial estimate. We sincerely apologize for any negative experience you may have had. My pickup inventory was EXACTLY what you were told in the follow up 3 days prior. Your standard cut and paste answers to all of the complaints on here only assures others of your shady dealings. Why wouldnt you tell customers that you are only a moving company broker and are not responsible for what the actual movers do or charge? You got offended when I called you a fly by night complaining, but your actions proved my accusation correct. I have received ZERO contact from AME or all season *** lines for my claim of missing or damaged items.Review fromWakenya C

Long and short of it: I had an out-of-state move, was contacted by ** regarding my upcoming move and he was UBER friendly. Sounded like a nice person and I NAIVELY paid the deposit quite fast based on the info he had provided. Promised I'd get a call back the Friday coming up to go over logistics. COOL. I waited, no call. I had to call them back the next Monday. I'm a business woman who works from ******** don't like my time being wasted. A verification email was apparently sent on Thursday hence why I didn't get a call (email never came)- but there was no communication to that regard!Combing through the verification email, I realized there were 2 major issues: 1. *** mentioned a "flight" of stairs being covered in the quote, but didn't specify it was 10 STEPS. Anything over would be an extra charge! 2. Delivery to my new address was not guaranteed. THIS is the HUGE problem for me, because my stuff has to be delivered on a specific day! ****** made it sound like it was going to happen that way, but lo and behold...Next day I reach out to the moving company and now someone else is in charge (SLV)- who matter-of-factly states that everything was outlined in the document I signed prior to paying (big mistake on my part, ****** learned) and that none of my deposit would be getting refunded. The only way to guarantee delivery on a specific day is to pay an extra $2500! WTF????? In this economy? I've been saving up for MONTHS to make this move and I have 2 children to care for! I feel duped- there was no clarity on that first call with **, who has chosen to remain unavailable after the fact (I've attempted multiple times to get a hold of him but I'm always advised by *** that "he isn't handling my account anymore".I understand losing my deposit of over $1,000, but there needs to be ACCOUNTABILITY. This is NOT the way you run a business!!!!! Unless you want to lose money, I wouldn't hire them.Authority Moving Experts

*******, thank you for taking the time to share as this allows us to further enhance our services. We had received your reservation on 9/26 and had reached out for the verification call on 9/28. We did not get an answer to this call and had sent all further information in the verification email sent on 9/28. We apologize if we did not specify the exact number of steps included in your reservation. We did mention that the first flight would be covered free of charge and that any extra would come at a $75 fee to cover the mens additional labor. We did request you to find out the exact number of steps so we can ensure any extra chargers are validated but did not hear back from you. Before signing off on our agreement, we ask the customer to check off the box agreeing to delivery being an estimated date and not a guarantee. Guaranteed delivery is a premium service and does come at an additional cost. However we informed you we would be working to see if one of the carriers in our network would guarantee you the delivery date you needed without charging you the premium cost. Before being able to get back with you, we were notified of your cancellation. Please also note, ****** is your initial representative and estimator. After placing your reservation, your file gets moved over to operations and any contact to him gets forwarded to dispatch/customer service. So we apologize he was not available to speak with you. I hired this company to assist in a move that was two states away. Upon paying my deposit, the moving company never came to pick up my belongings. I am a single mom with two kids and had to figure out how to live my belongings in my own as I was to report to a new job two days later. I called several times and received the run around. The communication was poor at best and it took my own persistence in repeated attempts to contact in order to receive my deposit back. I understand that situations arise, but simple communication and honestly would have made it easier to find an alternative if Is known prior to the day of. This was a total nightmare and I would not recommend this company to anyone.Authority Moving Experts

Run!!! Run from any company that is a Broker. Being our first across state lines move, who would know the difference between Authority Moving Experts, and *** Lines? Let me tell you, do your homework. I spoke with my best *****************, as he was actinguntil he wasnt. Once he snagged you, he didnt seem to be available anymore. It is definitely my fault for trusting him. It was 10:00 at night, Im 64 years old, exhausted and he was kind. That was a mistake. I line itemed every. Single. House. Item. for him. Come to find out he only listed about 1/3 of that on the estimate. Why? I now know its because he knew that lower figure would snag me. It did. He did not tell me there could be an additional day late picking items up. We were set. Looking back at contract he listed picked up day as Tuesday/Wednesday. ****** missed that bc he never mentioned it and Tuesday had been the only day he and I ever discussed. Meaning another mess with painters coming. The bottom line is thiswhat started out as $3400, turned into $7000!! AND my ***************** has become invisible. Shame on him and shame on Authority Moving Experts for not only allowing that with an employee, but not being a better business with training them to have with a checklist for the customer to know before they sign. Just a curtesy head **** Like: please look over the items listed for cubic feet, please know its two different companies you are dealing with, etc. Im not finished with this legal issue.Authority Moving Experts

Thank you for the feedback on your move! *** was extremely detailed in developing your inventory and was willing to work after hours with you in order to get it done as accurately as possible. It is the customers responsibility to review and confirm the inventory list is accurate before signing, which is why we have placed the electronic signature right below the inventory list, as this is an important part of your total move cost. You had also received a verification call reiterating the terms of the agreement and that a 2 day pickup window is required and to also keep both days available in case of any unforeseen circumstances. We also have record of a quality assurance call where the inventory is gone over in detail prior to your move date but no changes were told to be made to the inventory at this time. *** has also been informed of your feedback and would like to address this with you as he is disheartened you feel he would do this intentionally after the time he had spent working with you. This is a warning to anybody who is moving cross country!When I contacted Authority moving experts (AME) to request a quote, I was communicating with *********He assured me they were NOT a broker, (they are!) and the cost of my move would be $3,800.I have no previous knowledge of moving cross-country so I didn't question him at first.A couple days later I did contact him and asked him about boxes, He did ask me about how many boxes we would be packing.I told him there would be about 50 boxes.My cost went up to $5,800.A few weeks later I called to ask about patio furniture that we decided to take with us. Advise me to send him a list and if there was anything that we didn't take they could remove it from the list and it would lower my cost or add.4 days before the move I was contacted by them and I was told I would be, nothing additional was added to the list some items were removed from the list.Our estimate went up to $9,800, four days before our move! It's too late to schedule anything else so they know they have you in our rough spot!The day of the move The moving company "Carefree movers" showed up.This is an "F" rating better Business bureau company!They would not agree to the estimate size.I had to give them an additional $4,600 before they would touch anything.The closing is the next day.... I had no choice but to pay it at this point.They told us 4 to 5 days our stuff would arrive from ********* to *******.It was actually 21 days.Our kitchen table was broken, it was only 7 months old and had to be replaced.All four hydraulic units on our split King *** were broken. Our China hutch and buffet we are absolutely trashed.There was a hole in the back of the China hutch, boxes were shoved inside every cavity of the buffet so the cabinets were bent and wouldn't shut.All of the patio furniture was ground down to the metal!We wouldn't have even brought it but it was imperfect condition...WAS!It is a scam and we were scammed!Authority Moving Experts

We understand that you have every right to review your experience with our company, however we do see some false claims regarding our company that are very disheartening. We have text correspondence between you and your representative, ****, relaying to you and explaining to you that we are indeed a broker, prior to your reservation. Our company is family owned & operated, honesty and integrity is something we take pride in. To see this blatant lie is very disheartening. Please do not seek to tarnish our reputation through lies. We understand the estimated price has increased. Please note we have placed the quality assurance call in procedure to ensure we are estimating to the best of our ability. We are not human scales, and cannot anticipate exactly how well your goods will stack into the truck. It does cost the motor carrier, Carefree, to ship goods across state lines per ***** of *************** so they are not able to be dishonest in regards to how much space you have occupied. Because of our relationship with Carefree, our company was able to get this move done for you at a highly discounted tariff rate of *****% off the regular tariff rate.
