      If I could give them minus stars I would. Since the day we got our home internet/TV, service has been sketchy. I cannot tell you how many times I have had to unplug everything from the modem to each individual box at the TVs. Today I spent over two hours unplugging, plugging back in, unplugging, etc the modem and TV boxes before it finally started working. That was short lived. I now have that special box dead center in my screen that reads, sorry, we're having trouble connecting. Please check that your wireless gateway is powered on. I can see around the box in a dimmed out picture. I can listen to the TV. But I cannot watch it You call them, and you get the, take the gateway back to the store to get a new one and see if that works. It was a brand new gateway. Worst service provider I have ever had, and I have had some real losers. DO NOT USE COX AS YOUR INTERNET AND TV PROVIDER. YOU WILL BE VERY UNHAPPY.

      First, I was offered a "Lifetime" basic antenna service. OK, Do it. Great!!!
      Later they "discontinued" "LifeTime" basic antenna service. But huh? ... I'm still alive.

      And if a COX representative has ********* to reply to this review with a suggestion that we get a hold of them (again and again and again...) about the problem, you can probably imagine where they can stick it.

      I am starting a campaign against COX and their business practices, and will try to see that everybody shopping for cable/internet services in Omaha will know what a absolutely********** amateur company they are.

      There is a reason that a ton of reviews posted here are 1 star. Cox is one of the worst companies out there. They charge $100 / month for one of their top tier packages and it's average at best. I left in January in of 2021, paid my final bill and never received additional correspondence after that. Jump to a year and a half later and I have a $50 collection that has been affecting my credit score. I called customer service multiple times and requested supervisors, never got one. I gave up at that point and then received another letter from a collection agency. Called Cox again, they stated I called and spoke with a supervisor, which isn't true. I never got through to one or had one call me back. The employee noted my account incorrectly. They cannot fully explain why I owe this and are not at willing to help me out in anyway, they simply just want me to give them the money without reason. For the sake of my credit score I plan to pay it, but I will be telling everyone I know to go with the local competitor (they are so much better in every single way.) Oh, and literally everyone in my family has left Cox over the last few years due to poor experiences with them. If you want bad service for an unreasonable price, then Cox may be for you.

      CUSTOMERS, PLEASE TAKE THIS REVIEW SERIOUSLY!! Cox gave me the worst customer service experience I have ever had! THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY FROM YOU!! When I first set up my internet, the cox rep came out to my home and tried to make me feel guilty for getting the basic package and told me that it will be slow and would not be worth my while. He was very unprofessional. When I was about to move to another state, I had no choice but to stop my service with Cox because me new apartment already had its own wifi. When I called Cox to stop my service with them, the rep told me I DID NOT HAVE TO RETURN THE EQUIPMENT AND SAID I COULD THROW IT AWAY. Later on, I got a bill saying I had to return the equipment or pay the bill. When I called Cox to tell them what their OWN EMPLOYEE told me about not having to return the equipment, they told me I still had to pay the bill because it was my own responsibility. They provided no valid proof or reason as to why I had to pay the bill. I recommend no one uses COX because they will find ways to take your money. We live in an unfair world and Cox is contributing to that. Stay away from them. I'm not surprised by the other bad reviews I'm reading that Cox is getting.

      Cox internet used to be decent but they have seriously declined in their internet reliability. I pay $135 for internet a month and it's is very dependable about having "storm related damage in my area" according to the recording it gives you based on phone number. The best part is we haven't had any storms in a while. It's a bogus sad excuse. Then as you stay on the line to talk to someone it keeps giving you the recorded response that the customer services reps cannot do anything to improve the situation and keeps cycling that response. Well maybe talking to one of them could lead you to the truth about why their service is a total flop but then again that is likely much too high of an expectation. Either way, the minute anyone else decides to put internet into our neighbor at high speeds I will switch. My son begs me to switch but right now all the other services are super low speed in our areas. I don't know which is worse, low speeds all the time or high speeds that drop often. I do not recommend using cox if you want to live in this era where half of your stuff is dependent on internet. It's a real bummer when imaginary storms take out your internet so often.

      Worst service ever! If there was a negative star I would have chosen that instead. The "Online Chat" couldn't help, scheduled tech without asking when I was available. Told them to change it, checked online and the appointment wasn't changed so I changed it myself. Called after getting two text messages, one with the correct time and the second 2 hours later with the wrong time. Was told that the desired time was indeed what was scheduled. Took time off of work, went home, timeframe came and went with no service tech. Called and was told that the appointment was cancelled but they could not tell me who cancelled or when. Glad I lost time at work to get NOTHING FIXED!!!!! If you have another option I would suggest going that route, for what Cox charges you'd think they could at least schedule an appointment correctly and show up!

      Charges 165 a month just for Internet that goes out and lags every day!! I also have the best internet they offer!! What's wrong with this picture?? The only reason I use Cox is because it's the only thing offered in my area and once there's another option I will be leaving! For what I pay I don't want interruptions at all!!! Let alone everyday!

      Lost my card. Got a new one, but forgot to add the card to my account. I have to pay a $30 fee now. Also, when I went in, everybody was trying to make me spend the most money. They do not care about their "valued customers", they care about money, and commissions. In fact, they're "responses" to peoples grievances is to cover their own rear end, and not actually help out the customer. Don't use cox!

      Worst company ever! I was a perfect paying customer until I moved to a state where they don't service. They never sent me my final bill via email (like all the monthly bills they sent) or by ****. Then I reach out to their corporate office ************************** who turned me over to collections without notice the day before I paid the bill in full.

      DO NOT USE COX!

      I requested homelife on the website & it told me to call Cox for further assistance. I called & told the agent 3 times I did not need extra equipment he kept pushing & he charged me for it any way. When the technician came to install my equipment they took off the additional equipment (I never asked for) & was told I would receive a refund. I have called 4 times to get my refund & every time they said I was charged correctly & would not receive a refund even though I have the documentation to prove they overcharged me & never put in a request for my refund even though the technician confirmed I would receive my refund. I'm still waiting on my refund!
