      Absolutely horrid experience. Booked through expedia. I showed up to pick up reservation and they said I havent paid. I show them the receipt for payment and they said it wasn't on their end and i had to rent and pay in full through the desk. I did. Then tried to get a refund through @expedia. They won't do it because Alamo wont refund the money expedia sent them. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS! Workers don't know what theyre doing and will not stand behind what they say.

      I was supposed to receive a refund of ****** for overpaying but instead they charged me that amount. After claling numerous times and being told I was not going to be issued a refund, somebody finally refunded the charged amount. The issue is that I am still owed that initial refund that I was instead charged. I have called numerous times and they have either told me **** already refunded in which they all show me an invoice in which it shows that I am clearly due ******. I am also constantly told that management will reach out or they hang up or transfer me to a number that does not work. I have never dealt with a company that so blatantly tries to steal money from people. I am about to report this company to authorities.

      I recently rented a vehicle from the ********, ** Airport Alamo location. When I tried to get an explanation of extra fees charged to my credit card, I was met with nothing but confuscation. Over a 5 day period, during which time no one called, texted, or emailed me, charges were continuosly charged to my credit card. When I finally was able to discuss this with one of the employees, I was advised that the extra charges would be dropped. They were not. I requested an itemized explanation for each of the charges to my account, but they refused to give me one. No one at this location knows what they are doing and each person contradicts the others.

      I have rented with Alamo for years and never had any problem until I turned in my last rental car at *** Airport on December 5, 2023. The car was checked in and the attendant stated everything was good and I received an email receipt. On December 8, I received a letter from Alamo regarding damage to the rear bumper of the car; the date of loss was December 7. I called ********* DRU (damage recovery unit) and they were pretty rude over the phone and said I would get a bill for the damage. This ruined my lovely round of golf that day. On December 10, I submitted all of my documentation and proved the damage could not have been caused by me. Instead of apologizing for the trouble, ***** sent me a letter saying they would cover the damage as though they were doing me a favor. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS DISHONEST COMPANY.

      I rented a 7 seat vehicle for my sisters and I while we're on vacation in ******. We were really happy with the vehicle and the service provided. ****** offered to drop off and pick up vehicle at our convenience. The person that dropped off vehicle was very friendly. I will definitely recommend their services.

      I was given a rental truck and it broke down 3 days into my 8 day rental period. I did not have a vehicle to drive and was told ** be reimbursed for the 5 days rental including the taxes that I paid. I rented through Hotwire and Alamo was the rental company where I received my vehicle. Alamo customer service is the worst Ive ever experienced. I had to record my dozens of phone calls because I wanted evidence of the lying, condensation and rude , arrogant way I was being treated. I filed a bad review after 10/28/2023, which prompted Alamo to call me and **** from ********************** said Id be reimbursed but that was on 11/1/2023, a month ago and still no answer as to where my money is.

      We had a horrible and abusive experience at the ***************** location. ********* booked this rental for my family through their employee rewards program. When we arrived we were told that we had to pay a $300 deposit. We handed her our Credit/Debit card and was told that our card could not be accepted. We have one credit card that we use for credit purposes only. This was a Saturday. I asked for the manager. Manager said it's company policy and should have know. I explained how the booking was made and that we didn't know. We have the money on our debit card. She refused to work with us and said they couldn't let us have the rental. We were devastated that this small thing was going to derail our family vacation. I asked to speak to the manager's boss. She told me no over and over. I asked for the Corp phone#. She gave me the wrong number but I was able to find the Corp # and speak to someone. He told me that he was leaving a message for whoever but they wouldn't be in until 9 am and it was just 7am. My husband was able to make the balance available on our credit card enough to cover the deposit. When he came back in to give them the card the manager said she was going to refuse us the rental because of the back and forth and for me asking to speak to her manager! We jumped through hoops for an hour and a half trying to give them what they needed with nothing but sarcastic and nasty responses from them both. Then we were verbally abused when one of them told us to just get the f*** out! We were not the only customer that had this same problem. We were told a refund would not be given nor a transfer. These two ladies, manager named ********, she refused to give me her last name and her employee said she didn't know her manager's last name, were very rude and unprofessional. I hope that ********* never uses this company or its partners for rental cars ever again. I know we personally will not.

      I rented my car from the airport in *************** on Friday Oct 27th. The agents name is ***************He was amazing. Really quick. I named him *****************************. But he was very nice. He did his job with complete professionalism I just want to mention him because he was extraordinary I hope you make him manager or give him a huge wage increase

      They said it will be $275 additional charge to extend one week of the car rental. What they really meant was total cost to extend the car rental one week is $675 because they will keep $400.00 deposit. When this false statement was brought up to them, they would not acknowledge their mistake and return the deposit of $400.00. It seems like Alamo is proud to use deceptive business practices to make money.
